Rental Car Agencies - Need Advice Please Posted: Tue August 5, 2008 02:09 AM UTC
Hi....we would like to pick up a rental car in Heidelberg and then travel down the Romantic Road to Fussen over the course of 4 days. Can anyone advise us as to who may rent cars in this area. Keep in mind that we need to return the car to a location different than where we picked it up. Ideally this would be near Fussen or Kempten. Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Sunday Morning in Heidelberg Posted: Wed April 2, 2008 07:37 AM UTC
My wife and I are visiting Heidelberg for a weekend at the end of April.
We will there on a Sunday morning and will have to leave about 3 pm.
Often Sundays can be a bit wasted, especially if returning home.
We try to avoid this.
Any suggestion as for something interesting to do on the Sunday morning i.e.
A half day river cruise
A half day coach tour
Other ideas welcome

Pet boarding Posted: Tue April 1, 2008 11:38 AM UTC
Hello, Heidelberg area VTrs. I am in a big dilemma. The person who normally takes care of our Lahsa Apso when we travel will not be able to watch her on our next trip (23-26 May).
Does anybody know know of someone or a pet boarding/kennel in and around Heidelberg, who can take a 3 yr old, 20-lb, very friendly and house broken female dog? I will truly appreciate any recommendation.
Thank you.

Hotel recommendations Posted: Fri March 21, 2008 04:42 AM UTC
Our flight leaves Frankfurt on Tuesday 22nd July and we thought we would spend say two nights in Heidelberg before we leave. Have been looking at hotels, close to the Railway station. Several hotels which have appealed were not available on those dates. Have narrowed the choice down to Hotelo Heidelberg which is reasonably priced but am open to other suggestions. Has anyone stayed at this hotel recently? We do not necessarily need to be close to the station, but as we will not have a car we need to be fairly central.

Hi,
I would probably be traveling down to Heidelberg during Easter long weekend (21-24th March 2008). Do I make the right choice by choosing Heidelberg as my trip destination? :)
And, are 3 nights, 4 days too much for exploring Heidelberg? Any recommendation of where (fave places) to visit?
I heard it is a beautiful city over there...
:)
Thanks!

Good Heidelberg nightlife for the over 25 crowd Posted: Sat August 19, 2006 01:34 PM UTC
Hi there,
I'll be spending two weeks in Heidelberg to take a German language course and enjoy the sights...I'll certainly sample the nightlife as well while I'm there, but since I'm in my thirties I don't want to end up in places where practically everyone there is a teenager : )
Do you know of any particularly good bars or clubs which are geared more toward the 25+ crowd and are good places to mix with the locals? Basically I'm open to anything other than blaring discotheques which feature deafening rap music etc.
Danke!

Dancing the night away in Good old Heidelberg... Posted: Sun July 23, 2006 09:07 AM UTC
Hello all!
Am coming home to Germany to visit my family, and would also like to "mingle with the crowds" on 1 or 2 nights :-) When I left Germany I was still to young (18) to really go to any of the clubs... so it's "catch-up-time" ;-)))
Could you recommend some for me?
(Some of the nightlife tips here on VT are a little bit old, so I wanted to make sure that these bars/clubs are still there, for example "Nachtschicht" and "Eckstein"?)
Basically looking for a place that's relaxed, good music (70s, 80s, rock and pop and house) for dancing and fun times.
Thanks so much in advance!
