Hi does anyone have any info re buses from the airport to the new marina in Kos town? I arrive at 9.30pm at night. If there are no buses does anyone have an idea of cost of a taxi. Thanks.
has anyone stayed at the helena christina hotel/apartments on rhodes island and if so what was your stay like. I have been unable to find any reviews on this hotel just their own website.
I going to be rhodes in late sept and I am looking at booking a room at helena christina apts but I can not find any reviews on virtual tourist or other travel websites.
Reviewed the VT restaurant recs but was wondering if anyone knows of any new/interesting restaurants/tavernas/hole in the wall places. Can be cheap or expensive (but those usually aren't very satisfying). Heading to Rhodes this September.

Hello and thank you in advance
Would anyone have any information about a hotel in Nysiros that is run by a family by the name of Fouyaxis please?
The lady is Sophie and her husband is George. I have heard about this family run hotel and cannot seem to be able to locate it to have a closer look etc...
Any information AT ALL would be greatly appreciated.
The only address I can find for it even though I know the island is small is:
Pali Dode Canissos (I think that's right).
Kindest regards,
Angie
The posting says it all! Advice please as there doesn't seem to be an up-to -date 'Rough Guide'. Suggestions based on recent experience of Kos, in terms of quality, value and ambience.

Bodrum and Kos town are one in front of the other but i read that have different
wheather conditions. Have you ever been in kos town and bodrum? Is true that bodrum has hotter wheather during the summer?
I am looking at possibly going to Rhodes from Crete as part of an itinerary. I would be in Heraklion. So far I've discovered in my research that ferries only go from the east part of Crete Island. is this true? And if I need to get to either Hania or Nikolas Agiolaos to get the ferry, how do I get there?
I also found that the only direct flight is with Olympic Airlines and its an evening flight. Everything else goes via Athens.
My friend and I are looking for the best part of Kos. We'll only be there two nights, and would like our location to be convenient to the ferry for Bodrum. What is the best town to stay in and do you have any hotel recommendations? Thanks so much! Also good restaurants would be great too!
We are looking to travel from Santorini to Kos. Is our only option a ferry from greekferries.com. We are not against taking an overnight ferry, but we would like to have as much time as possible on the islands. Are there any other options? Do you know of any island on the way that would could possible stop at to break up the trip? Any hydrofoils that go between Santorini and Kos?
In sept. I arrive by plane on Rhodes, to leave next morning by ferry to Nissyros. Does anyone here know a small hotel or domatia for 1 person ?
I want to visit Nissyros and Tilos, for walking.
4 or 5 days before my departure I will return to Rhodes.
Is it worth to visit Chalki or stay at the westcoast of Rhodes for walking ?
Thanx !!
Hi all. As we are now flying into Rhodes in September rather than Athens, we have a different set of ferry options to plot and plan:-
Dodekanese Seaways Cat (presumably following last year's schedule) 8.30am up to Lipsi
ANEK Lines at 07.00 to Anafi (tempted but it's 12 hours on the boat via Halki, Karpathos &Kassos - so that would be interesting)
ANES Lines to Nissyros at 9am to Tilos/Nissyros
Blue Star at 17.30 up to Leros.
Last time I caught a ferry from Rhodes it was either the Nissos Kalymnos or a DANE/GA boat and it went from Kolona (middle harbour), so I presume that Blue Star, ANES and ANEK go from there too - can anyone confirm this. We're staying just near Akandia (3rd harbour) so nowhere's that far.
But...I have no idea where the Dodekanese Seaways cat goes from? The old, original, Nissos Kalymnos berth shoreside in Kolona? Or Mandraki?
I'm assuming that the hydrofoils still leave from Mandraki near the "bandstand"
Any info gratefully received! Only 5 months to go!
we are considering a 2 week stay in October. Will everything still be open?
We have seen 1 review which said only 1 taverna and supermarket open early October.
Help please!!
