Hi. We'll be arriving in mykonos airport at 1130, thurs on sept, and want to take the ferry to delos on the same day. Any suggestions?
Do we still have time to leave our luggage at our hotel then get to the port? or are there storage areas for luggage at the port?
How far is the airport to the main town, and main town to port?

Mykonos Cruise Ship 8:00 am to 11:59 pm
Posted: Sat June 21, 2008 08:57 PM UTC
Hello all!!
Can anyone help me, im arriving to mykonos at 8:00 am and leaving at 11:59 pm,
we want to be free instead of getting tied up with shore excursions.
So well walk around town, and any recommendation for a good restaurant with a nice view? later on my brother and I will probably go to a beach...paradise or super paradise probably, but my parents id like for them to go to a more
"relaxed" beach and with less partying more appropriate for their age, any recommendations anyone. Also my brother and I would like to go to a great disco or club that might start early (especially since we are leaving at 11.59 pm)
so we can get a taste of the partying, also will we be able to find a cab at say 10:30 pm to take us to the ship? by the way were going on late september so i do know that the island might be a little slower than on summer, but we want to experience mykonos to the max.
thanks you all hope your having a great time!
and thanks beforehand!!

Paros Paros Nudist beaches.
Posted: Sat June 21, 2008 05:43 AM UTC
My wife & I will be staying in Naoussa this August and are looking for nudist beaches in the area. We know there is the beach at Laggeri / Langeri as we have been there before, but wondered if there are any others in the area. Or others on the island that it would be worth getting a car/bike to get to. Can anyone help us out with any ideas? (GPS coordinates would be great)

Many Thanks,

Bue.

Mykonos Questions!
Posted: Thu June 19, 2008 10:41 PM UTC
Could someone help with these questions.
We are arriving via cruise ship and have 7:00am till 2:00pm.

1. How far away is Paradise Beach or Super Paradise Beach?
2. How do we get to Paradise Beach or Super Paradise Beach from where the cruise ship will dock (Princess Cruise Line)? Walk? Bus? Taxi? Water Taxi? How much?
3. Is there a scooter rental shop near where the ship docks? If so, how do I get there and do you know how much a scooter rental will cost?
4. Is it safe to scooter around Mykonos?
5. Where would be the best place to have a bite to eat for lunch (authentic with a view?)?

Mykonos Flight transportation
Posted: Mon June 16, 2008 07:25 PM UTC
Once we arrive in Athens, will we be able to book transportation flights to other Islands, such as Mykanos and Crete, on our own schedule? Or would it be more advisable to book transportation flights before arriving in Greece with a Travel Agent?

Mykonos Various advices about Mykonos needed :-)
Posted: Wed June 11, 2008 09:38 AM UTC
a bit long..sorry!! I am going to Mykonos with my boyfriend from 16 to 23 June and I need some advices:
- I have been to Mykonos 2 years ago, so I was wondering if it is worth staying there 4 days and myabe going 2 days to Naxos, which I haven't seen..my only doubt is that I'd like to have a relaxing week and don't want to bother too much (I've been to Nyc a month ago and I've walked too much!!)
- All the time I went to Greece I didn't book the accomodation but I found it at the port..that's where you find the best deals, even in August in Mykonos! This time I'm arriving by plane and I was wondering if people is waiting there to offer accomodation as they do at the port..also, a friend of mine once went to Mykonos in June and she told me that everything was full booked because of a national holiday or something..do you know anything about it?
- How's the trasportation like? If I sleep in the town do you think that I should be able to move by bus easily?
Thanks

Santorini Island Santorini on Friday, April 24 (Greek Good Friday?)
Posted: Tue June 10, 2008 05:09 AM UTC
Hi,

We are considering a cruise that will take us to Santorini on Friday, April 24. Since the next Sunday is the Greek Easter, would that mean that Friday is what we would consider "Good Friday". If so, what problems might we face with places being closed?

Also, what would be the alternatives to taking a "ship" tour of Santorini. Are their local guides? Could we plan a trip on our own? What are some "must sees"?

Thanks for the help.....Jim

Andros Island From Rafina to Andros
Posted: Thu May 8, 2008 09:32 AM UTC
Hello,

As we never did on our one before it is good to have some reassurance from fellow travellers:

We arrive in Athens on June 26 at 13.50, and we need to get to Andros the same day:
- is it best to take then the ferry from Rafina?
- is it necessary to book in advance?

Thanks a lot for your help,

Naxos Island I'm arriving on Sunday 11th May but there's only one ferry.
Posted: Wed May 7, 2008 01:32 PM UTC
Hi. I'm arriving Mykonos this Sunday at 1.20pm (if Easyjet have no delays) and plan to get the ferry across to Naxos that same day. There seems to be only 1 ferry each day which surprised me and the boat is at 2.30pm. I tried all the previously recommended websites and there really does seem to be just the 1 boat each day fromMykonos to Naxos. Does anyone living on Naxos know if that's because not all ferries are published in the schedules? I'm worried about what to do if I miss that boat as even if the flight is on time an hour isn't long for us to collect our bags and get down to the port to find and buy tickets. Are there any later boats or a roundabout way to get to Naxos if we miss that one (without returning to Athens..)
Thanks.

Santorini Island help with hostel - Oia or Perissa?
Posted: Sun April 27, 2008 10:44 AM UTC
Hi,

I booked my ferry to Santorini in June and now want to sort out my accomodation for 3 nights, I am travelling on a budget and have been looking at hostels and cant decide between 3. The first 2 are Hostel Anna or Katerina and John Hotel in Perissa both are the same cost (about €7 per night) and the other is Youth Hostel Oia in Oia which is €15 per night. Is it worth paying the extra to be in Oia?

I am a single traveller who will be out sightseeing in the day and chilling out in the evening and wondered if one resort might be better for me than the other? I have heard that Oia is quite expensive for food and drink is that true? How does Perissa compare?

Also if anyone has stayed at any of the hostels feed back would be appreciated!

Thanks for your help!
