I am dismayed to find that all the budget hotels seem to be full the weekend of Dec. 4. Is that because of the Christmas markets?
Since I can't find an affordable room on Friday Dec 4, I thought we'd go to Brussels earlier in our itinerary than planned, but I am having difficulty planning this route. I'd like to leave early evening 12/4 from Strasbourg to either Brussels or Gent (or alternately, stop in Luxemberg City for the night, catch a couple of sight in the morning, and continue on). Has anyone done this? Can you please advise me for cheapest and quickest options? Many thanks!
What is the closes train station to Schoenenbourg. How do we get from the station to the Maginot Line. We do not have a car. Can we rent one at the station. Thank you

hi guys!
I'm planning a visit in Strasbourg at the end of next week.
maybe there will be any events around 19-21 of August in Strasbourg?
but the main question is maybe a bit unexpected: are there any mosques in Strasbourg and if there are..anyone knows visitation posibilities?
Thanks in advance!
Best wishes from Lithuania,
Dei.
Arriving in Munich by air around 7AM renting a car and driving to Offenburg (drop off in Germany). Need to catch TGV for Paris from Strasbourg at 12.15 PM. I see there is a train at 10.34AM but just incase .....How long it takes by Taxi from Offenburg to Strasbourg and how much it costs? Thank you in advance
Does anyone know what day (or days) of the week is market day in Strasbourg? (outdoor market/farmer's market/food market) We'll be there for a short visit in July.
What is my best option to visit Strasbourg from Lucerne. We are staying in Lucerne and will have a car but is the train the best option to get to Strasbourg due to parking, time, etc?
Thanks!
Stan
We are going to Paris with car in the end of April. First we will stop in Strasbourg. Which way is better to go to Paris from Strasbourg? Highways are probably very expensive. I'd prefer to go where is something to see on the way, that we can make a nice driving break.
HI! My wife and I are taking our mothers to Alsalce for 2 nights Feb 24th to see the reigon (I know it's not enough time) :-)
Would you suggest we stay in Colmar or Strausbourg? We're interested in seeing some sights, but nothing in particular, just general tourism.
We would be grateful for any suggestion!
THANKS!
I'm going to do an exchange program in strasbourg for abouf 6 months (February 'till June) and I'm looking for a room/small appartment. Does anyone have any suggestion on where I can look for it? Housing agancies or something of the kind?
Thank you in advanced :)
My friends and I are staying in Mulhouse (as base for Christmas markets) the week of Christmas. What are the local Alsacien traditions on Christmas Eve and Christmas day? We want to have a special holiday dinner, but would like recommendations on the best time and restaurant. We want to experience the local traditions. Thanks.

hello,
i'd like to ask you how many days will be enough for an ALsace trip.
By car. We are particularly interested in wine roads. Which places would you recommend for nights stay? thank you!
I would like to visit Colmar and sourroundings in the first week of December.
Do you know where I can find information and timetables about buses connecting Colmar to the villages on the Wine Route?
I'm interested in Ribeauville, Riquewihr and Kaysersberg, in particular.
I found only one line for Ribeauville and Riquewihr (Line 106, few connections a day). I wonder if you know other lines or other cheap means of transport leading to these villages.
Any suggestion such as places and villages to visit are welcome.
Thank you.
hello,
few questions i have, would be grateful if u could help:
what is the best way to arrive to strasbourg from Brussels? is there a train? where can i find the info, and how long does it take?
also, i'd like to know if its better to take the airplane from Frankfurt or Paris when in Strasbourg. I know there are new TGV trains doing the Paris-Strasbourg route, but how expensive are they? Could a german train going to frankfurt be more convenient and cheap?
I would also like a suggestion for places to stay in Str.
thank you very much!!
I'm planning a short trip for 2 days. I cannot find any accomodation available for Saturday 29th November. No problem with 28th or 30th, but only 29th. Is there any special event on this date in Strasbourg?
My husband, mother and I will be in Strasbourg for 5 days over Christmas.
Can someone please recommend an ambiant restaurant for lunch on Christmas Day? Anything Alsation or French would be great. We're looking at say up to 100 euros per person.
We will be driving from Paris towards Landshut, Germany mid September. Can anyone recommond some good accommodation in Strasbourg (where will will stay overnight on our way to Landshut).
Ideally some accommodation that has parking at the hotel as we will be arriving late and do not wish to park blocks away from accommodation. It is very hard to find any reviews on hotels in these.
Would be pleased to have a recommendation for a nice bed and breakfast place or inexpensive hotel somewhere along the wine road between Colmar and Strasbourg - preferably nearer to Colmar.
Thanks for any advice!
We are hoping to holiday in September. We will arrive and leave from into Basle airport. Can anyone suggest a route which will show us the most interesting and prettiest places to visit. Perhaps suggest how many days to stay at each place. This is a lot to ask but I would be very grateful for your ideas.
Hi everyone,
I will be landing in Paris in September and I need to get to Strasbourg on the same day. I wanted to know if it is easy to get around in the airport to get to the TGV train station ? And is the train station in Strasbourg close to downtown ?
I'm trying to find a hotel in Strasbourg that sleeps 5 (2 adults and 3 children). There must be one! I would be very grateful for any help you can give. Thank you.
ps. ages of children are 5, 12, and 14
I am going to spend one night with my girlfriend in Strasbourg during our trip to Cannes (by car). Could you recommend me some nice hostels in Strasbourg or nearby in qood price and car parking for one night? I will arrive 21 June probably. What prices should I expect?
