Hi,

I'm planning a wedding in Zakynthos next year and I have a few questions.
Is early september a good time of the year to visit the island?
I am not sure where on the island we will have our wedding, I have heard that Tsivili is very lively, but might not suit older people in our wedding party.

We want an area which is genuinely greek, with a bit to do, but mainly unspoiled and relaxed. Any suggestions?

Also, I am finding it hard to get information on transport between Zakynthos and Santorini, ideally we would love to cruise to Santorini after the wedding then spend a few days there. Is this possible?

My friend and I are looking to stay at the Ketarina palace Studios in Argassi this August. It looks wonderful - my only hesitation is it is a good place for boys aged 17, 17, 15 and 12 to have a good holiday?

Does anybody know if there are regular buses from this airport to any location? I know I must somehow get to the port of Kyllini in order to hop on a ferry, but I'm hoping that Taxi is not the only alternative.

Thinking to visit the island for a week with my wife in September.
Want to find a most scenic, possibly more local feel hotel (4 stars or higher) that`s quiet, beautiful, with excellent service, amazing views, food and essentially the experience of a lifetime - that feels as far as possible from crowds / too touristy places, yet has access by bicycle (we can ride distances!) to great breathtaking scenery and also the quietest beaches and the best taverns / restaurants....

No matter i'm a Greek i've never been to Zakynthos yet; i'm going there this year though. I've heard about this wonderful turtle event and that only 3/1000 of them finally make it - i guess people have something to do with that.

Anyways, there is a day or a period of days that baby turtles pop out of their eggs and start walking towards the sea. This has to be a great thing to watch so i'd like to ask if anyone got to see it and what was the date cos i'd like to go.

I already know turtles leave their eggs between June and August, but i wanna know when the eggs get broken and newborns get out.

I am going to spend my summer holiday in Zante and would like to go to Kefalonia and Lefkada on the way back Does anyone know if there are ferries from Yante to Kefalonia and from Kefalonia to Lefkada and what are the prices approximately for two passengers and a car.

I'm going to zante ND SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT greece count age from conception and the drinking age is 17. Does this mean you only have to be 16 years and 3 months old

Does anyone know what flights will be available in early September from Athens? I have looked on the Olympic and Aegean websites and can't find any flights listed. Our timwe is a bit limited so I'd rather fly than take a ferry/bus. How long does the bus take from Athens? Thanks

I am looking to book a two week break in Zante in may, just for my fella and me and I was wondering if anyone could give me some idea on the various resorts? We are looking for a relaxing break, just really want a nice sandy beach to chill on, somewhere thats typically greek though, i dont want to go and think I am still in the UK! We dont really want a busy night life but would like some nice places to go in the evenings for drinks and meals. I would like to se the turtles but dont mind travelling to do so if the better beaches are further away!

Does anybody know what the prices are like in Vasilikos?

I have seen postings saying between 20 and 200 euros for a meal, this seems preposterous. All i would like to know is what the going rate is for a meal not the very highest and lowest you will pay.

As a rough average does anyone know what a rough price for dinner for two would be with drinks/wine (not in a really pricey place - who would pay 200 euros for a meal - seriously?)

hi, I am planning to book a last minute deal to zante (tsilivi) with 2 other girl friends in early september! we are 19-22 and all students or have just graduated so we will be on a budget- i was wondering if anybody could recommend the sort of money one would need for a weeks stay? We are in self catering accom. but would like to have a couple of meals out and a few excursions around the island etc... Is it easy to get from Tsilivi to the main town and other places of interest? What about at night? Any general tips about what to do and how to spend our time would be most welcome, obviously we want a couple of beach days but we would much rather see a bit of the island and its culture than spend all our time (and money) in the pubs/clubs.
