Hi guys, I'm planning to visit Delphi from Athens next week. I couldn't find any official current timetables on the internet, and the ktel.org website seems to be down. Does anyone of you know the arrival/departure times (also return trip)?

And what about ticketing? From another post at the Athens forum I have learned that you can't by tickets in advance, so I will be at the bus terminal around half (?) an hour prior to departure. Can you already by a roundtrip ticket in Athens, or is it again only sold in Delphi?

I have just finishes school and want to travel Greece with two friends... none of us can drive. We are flying into Athens, staying there for three days, and then getting the bus to Delphi where we'll stay for a night. What is the easiest way to then get to Nafplion? I know this involves some backtracking towards Athens, but is there a bus that goes the whole way?

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Did they have anybody who could give me some information & advice to join Lefkadas from Delphi?
I would like to know which coach we could get there.
We will do Athens-Delphi. And after we would like to go directly to Lefkadas.
I couldn't found any real information about KTEL buses about that.
So any kind of help will be great!

I dont drive and I dont want to figure transportation options, so I will do a tour. But question is, should I do a 1 day or a 2 day tour to this legendary site?

We are arriving in Athens and then travelling to Delphi and staying for two nights. We want to go to Arachova which is about 6 miles away. As we don't have a car is there any way we can get there like hiring a bike etc??? Also as we are in Greece for a week is there any other places people can recommend we see and stay while there.

Please could someone let me know what the winter opening times are for the delphi site ( I hope to visit in Jan 09)

Hi, does anyone have a map of delphi? I'll be taking a bus from Athens and am not too sure how to get to the hotel from the bus station. So far am unable to find a suitable map for proper directions. I'm staying at Hotel Varonos, if there are any directions, please do help! Thank you!

Can you tell me if I should take the bus or train/bus to Delphi from Thessalonika on October 24? I would like to arrive in Delphi before it is dark, but I won't be visiting the sights in Delphi until the next day.

Our ship is stopping in Katakolon. The big excursion is Olympia which we do not care to go to. I have heard that there is a beautiful beach Kourouta nearby. Does anybody know how to get there? Are there taxis at the port? Approx price to beach? Will we have trouble getting one back?

Do I need to take the bus back through Athens and change buses (and bus stations) to get from Nafplio to Delphi? Or is there a better route?

in April 6-10, on Easter Holidays. Does it mean there is nothing
available , or there are small apartments without Internet?

I plan on arriving around dusk in Delphi. Should I make sure that I get a hotel that offers parking? Iam looking at Varonos,Feddriades,Parnassos,Panorama,and Acropole. I am not even sure which ones have parking..Thanks

are there any hostels in delphi. the cheapest I can find is Hotel Varonos at 23.00 euros per person.

Can anyone here provide me with the bus schedules from Delphi to Kalambaka and if possible Kalambaka- Corfu as well?

My itinery is as below:
Day one: Athens-Delphi (day trip to ancient Delphi)
Delphi-Kalambaka (over night in Kalambaka)
Day two: Kalambaka-Meteora (day trip in Meteora)
Meteora-Corfu

Is this recommendable?

We desperately need a hotel in Itea or Galaxidi on May 19th. Please let us know if you have any suggestions. We arrive around 9 plus in the night in either of these towns from Kalampaka. We cannot find any accomodation online. Hopefully we can find a double for 50 euros or less. If you know of any please let us know. Thanks!
