My wife and I fly into Gdansk Airport on Saturday 28th June 2008 for a two week stay in Sopot.

Could anyone tell me if I should take US dollars, UK pound or Euros on holiday?

How much does it cost for a taxi from Gdansk Airport to Sopot? Is there an alternative form a travel?

I've heard that it rains great deal in Sopot. Any truth in this?

Any suggestions for best restaurants/places of interest?

Is there a supermarket in Sopot? Can you buy Benson and Hedges Gold cigarettes?

hi travellers. my wife and i r going to sopot in early dec,staying in the grand hotel any info on it.and any good ideas on things to see and do in the tri city area.i noticed u can take a water taxi to gdansk does it run in dec.oh im in my early 40s just going to relax and site see no discos.any we tips most greatfull.

Short break planned in Sopot shortly.
Can anyone advise if there is a direct public transport link between the airport and Sopot, without the need to go into Gdansk? With luggage this can be a hassle.
What would be the approx cost of a taxi from the airport to Sopot?

Hello all! I am visiting Sopot for a few days and have some questions for you:

1) I booked my hotel at Miramar Hotel. It was next to the Aquapark and I love to walk. Is this an ok hotel? Has anyone here ever seen it? Is the walk from this hotel to Monte Cassino area safe? The other hotel I was considering was Hotel Opera.

2) Is Malbork nearby? I would like to visit Malbork by public transportation. From my hotel, how long would it take to walk to the train station? Also, how long is the trip from Sopot to Malbork?

I'm contemplating a detour to Sopot by car while spending some time in Kaunas. Could anyone tell me how reaslistic that would be? Michelin.com claims it's a 6 hr drive, but I have a feeling that's an underestimation. We're only in Lithuania for about 4 days. If we wanted to have a quick drive into Poland, any reccomendations on a nearby town ?(about an hour from Lithuanian border)

Being a holiday resort, is it possible to find a longer term nice house for renting.
Are there reliable real estate agents that specialise in the non-tourism sector?
