I am planning on getting a bus from Warsaw to Riga, Latvia.
I will be arriving in Warsaw on a train from Colognoe, Germany.

how easy is it to find/get to the bus station from the train station, for a foreigner?

My bus leaves from WARSAW Dw. PKS W-wa Zach., stan. 13.


Also, is this a recommended journey? Anyone had any experience from this?

Several years ago I bought a doll in Poland. I'm trying to find a web site for the maker. Or... the shop where I bought it...which was just off the Old Town square. Does anyone know of these dolls?

We are 2 guys from UK and are considering travelling to Warsaw on 21st-24th March but I have just noticed this is Easter weekend. While it would be wonderful to see the city during this time, we would also want to experience the nightlife as well. During my last visit to Warsaw a couple of years ago, there was also a Papal visit. Although it was a fantastic and unforgettable experience, many bars and clubs were closed or on limited hours and there was an alcohol ban citywide. Is this something we should also expect around this time??

I've been to Warsaw a few times, done the city tour, visited the ghetto, Old Town, and the Uprising museum and was hoping some of you may have recommendations on other things to see. Preferably historical sights.

Of course a trip to Warsaw would not be complete without shopping. I've been to Arkadia and the mall near the Marriot and would like to try something else. Ladies, do you have any recommendations?

To top off my trip, I would like to see an orchestra, concert, and/or theater production while in town. Is there any performances? If so, where should I look? I will be in Warsaw from Dec 29th to Jan. 3rd and would appreciate any advice.

In January I will be in Warsaw for three days, attending to a tradefare in a airport hotel. Now, I know there will be only little time, but I definately want to catch a glimbs of the old city center of this historical town. Can anyone recommend me the best way to go there. Are there busservices, tramways or is a taxi the best option? What is the price of a taxi ride to the centre? Could it be better to take a taxi to a nearby metro-station to travel on by subway?

Hi all, i moved to Poland just over 2 months ago, living about an hour from Warsaw now. The biggest problem since i got here is that i cannot find any sports clubs to join in my new home town! can anyone give me advice on possible clubs in Warsaw? I love golf, am crazy about badminton, but play almost any sport reasonably well... HELP!!! :-)

WHATS THE BEST AND CHEAPEST WAY TO GET A PARTY OF SIX FROM WARSAW TO LODZ AIRPORT IN FEBRUARY 2008. OUR FLIGHT LEAVES ABOUT 10.45am?

Any advice on how to get into Old Town from the airport? I have a layover in Warsaw for about 10 hours and figured I would venture into the city for a bit.

I'm assuming old town is where I should go explore during this time.

I've visited Krakow and just wondered how do prices in Warsaw compare to the rest of Poland? e.g. price of a beer, meal etc?

I was looking for the hotel with the safest parking in Warsaw. We are arriving late and did not want to go through the hassle of getting all the stuff out of the car. Maybe something with an indoor parking garage?...or is leaving stuff in the car crazy?

Within reason price is not an issue, but we would like to be near some tourist things for the next day.

Myself and eleven friends are coming to Warsaw for a weekend at the start of November for my stag do.

We are staying in the Marriot hotel - i was wondering was this a good place to stay and is it central for the nightlife.

Could anyone advise on any good pubs/bars/nightclubs? We generally like a laugh And are all aroung 30years old.

Any good places to watch the english football?

Also i have read about the ICE bar - would anyone recommend this as a place to visit.

I'm going to be in Warsaw for a few nights over NYE - Im in my early 20s and staying in a hostel. What's Warsaw like at new years? I'm after any recommendations of what I should do on the night. I'd ideally like to see some fireworks, if I can, followed by a bit of drinking and dancing. What are your thoughts re specific places to go? And will I need to book my night in advance to get in anywhere (i mean in terms of ticketed events or entry to nightspots rather than hostels) or is it easy enough to play it by ear when I get there?

I could not identify the region I should enter on VT site. I want to travel Warsaw and Krakow in one trip.

Bit late as I fly tomorrow, but I have read that the Bus 175 has changed route. I am staying at the Ibis Stare Miasto, stop Muranowska - Most Hotel reviews still state that the 175 goes that way, but the Polish Bus info has it only going as far as Pl Pilsudskirgo. Can anyone confirm please????

4 days in warsaw, is it a city that i will not get bored?? are there nice neighbourhoods, cosy cafes, stylish shops, good food, some cultural interest?
is it worth spending 4 dyas there or would Riga or Bratislava be more interensting?

I am going to Warsaw at the end of October. Just wanted a bit of help with regards to hotels. Looking for somewhere which is no more than 65 euro's a night for a double room and fairly close to the Old town sqaure, if possible.

There is a flag on top of Hotel Sobieski (and I believe same one is in the lobby). A red and white flag as the Polish flag only to the side is a red and white cross placed on it also. Can anyone tell me where this can be purchased. Need one to use in parade for Polish Days.

Guys, im going to Warsaw next week, will be there from Sept 10 till sept 13 and i havea question:
since im a big football fan and on Sept 11 we have important game in Kiev Ukraine - Italy, i gonna miss it live, but i still hope to watch it on TV. Is there any good sport bars in a city where i can see international matches not only on local level in Poland?

Our newspapers carried a story of some philanthropists from the U.S. who are holocaust survivors trying to encourage Polish culture back into Poland. The article speaks of a new Museum of the History of Polish Jews due to open in 2009. I'm wondering if anyone has more information about it or its location in Warsaw?

Want to reserve on 9/15 for 10:05AM train. 1 site(www.rozklad.pkp etc.) shows that train but I can't seem to buy a ticket on this site. Another (http://bilet.intercity.pl) doesn't list that departure. A 3rd (raileurope.com) will allow me to reserve but at a greater cost. Any suggestions? Probabbly should just wait and do this upon arrival in Warsaw, huh! Will be in Warsaw from 9/11-15 and Krakow from 9/15-23 so if anyone wants to hook-up for a beer or coffee, that would be great.
