Breda Living & Working in Breda
Posted: Sun December 26, 2004 09:19 AM UTC
I have just been asked for second interview with a firm in Breda. My family and I have been travelling to Holland for the past couple of years and loved it! My wife and I are in our early forties and 3 boys aged 5,7,and 8. I am interested in knowing if there are primary schools that speak in english and also what is the housing market in Breda and surrounding areas?

Since this is the first time I have used a site like this, there will be allot more questions in the future.

Thanks

Breda Living in Breda
Posted: Tue November 9, 2004 12:07 PM UTC
Hello... quite new to VT but looks an interesting site.

I might have the possibility of working in Breda in the next month on a 2yr contract and was wondering abit about the place. Where's the areas to avoid getting a flat? How much am I looking to pay for a month? Where would I look to possibly rent with some one?

Basically, just some general "living in Breda" questions really....

Hope someone can help!!!

Cheers.

Stu.

Breda Accommodation
Posted: Mon February 9, 2004 12:18 PM UTC
As I expect difficulties to find accommodation during the Jazz festival I thought I should do booking well in advance. Can anybody recommend a place? First class with shower, bath, Jacuzzi and sauna :-)))
Or, actually just local B&B will be just fine for me.

Breda VT meeting!!!!
Posted: Sun February 8, 2004 03:25 PM UTC
Hi VTers!
I thought it would be a great idea to organize another VT meeting in Breda (didn't we have fun last time?).
Breda's famous Jazz Festival is gonna take place in May (20-23) and the whole city is gonna go wild!
So how about getting together for some beer and great music? Let me know what do you think about it and soon I'll post it in the meetings' calendar.

Breda After VT-meeting on sunday....
Posted: Thu September 18, 2003 12:44 PM UTC
Hi,

Don't think that i don't enjoy myself here in Oradea. I do very much. But am also a huge VT and VT-meetings addict.. As some of you know..

So, on suday after the big Bread meeting.. who feels like doign something? I was thinking about De Efteling (www.efteling.nl) or maybe someone else has a brilliant idea..

Just feel like it would be a waste of travel time not to get as much out of being in that part of the Netherlands as i possibly can (and haven't been to the efteling in a long while)...

Breda Tips on fun stuff to do close to Breda
Posted: Tue September 16, 2003 10:38 AM UTC
I'm going to spend all October in Breda and I was wondering what there's to do around there in the weekends. I was thinking that an hour on the train is the maximum distance I'm willing to go.

I was planning to go visit the Trappist brewery in Berkel-Enschot, but I don't know what days and times it's open. Anybody know? Is it hard to find?

Anyway, concerts, sigths, guided trips, pubs, restaurants or just anything you think that I should not leave the Netherlands without seeing or experiencing. All tips are welcome!
I don't want to sit in my room for a whole month!

Breda looking for a place to stay in Breda
Posted: Tue July 29, 2003 06:12 PM UTC
Hello everyone,

My name is Alberto (Spain) and I'm new in VT.

Right now I am in Edinburgh but next saturday I will be heading to Breda. I have
been looking for a place, online, to stay as I get there (hostel or anything
like that) but everything seems to be very expensive. I will stay for three
weeks and then I will go back to Spain to say good bye to everyone before I get
ready for my YEAR IN BREDA!! (I will do my last year of my degree over there)

I have to questions for you: do you know a cheap place to stay in for a few days
before I can find a house to share for the rest of the year??
And as I've seen you say you have been sharing a house over there, could you
tell me where to go to ask for houses?? like which are the typical places where
I could find that information: newspapers, any boards in any bars, any
agencies...

I would really appreciate this information from you.

Thank you in advance

(by the way: if anybody is in my situation and wants to share a house, contact me and we can look for a place together)

Breda New in Breda

Just here for a week or so but I'm thinking about coming back for longer. Are there any clubs or voluntary organisations that would be fun? Also, any idea where to start looking for Dutch classes? Cheers!
