Koblenz Theft of statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I at Deutsches Eck
Posted: Wed February 8, 2006 12:30 AM UTC
After visiting Koblenz, I am interested in the theft of the damaged statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I at Deutsches Eck at the end of World War II.
1. Does anyone know of any books or articles in English about this event? 2. Does anyone know of any books or articles in German about his event?
I would be grateful for any information available.

Koblenz Frankfurt-Hahn to Koblenz then onto Nurburg
Posted: Mon May 30, 2005 05:11 PM UTC
Hi, this wednesday I'll be arriving at Frankfurt-hahn airport, I believe I can get a bus at 23:00CET which arrives at Koblenz main station at 01:30, from reading other posts here, I believe you can't wait at the station as they close at 02:00, is it possible to get a taxi from Koblenz to Nurburg (Nurburgring) and how much would we be talking about.
Thanks in advance,
jonny

Koblenz Getting to Klobenz
Posted: Mon February 21, 2005 10:30 PM UTC
Hi,

I will be visiting Klobenz in a few weeks and my flight will be arriving in Frankfurt International airport. I was wondering if someone can help me find the best way to get to Klobenz from Franfurt Intl Airport, instead of renting a car and drive there myself. Would I have to take a train, bus or taxi? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Koblenz Wine and water
Posted: Wed October 6, 2004 03:27 PM UTC
I could like to spend some days in Germany, preferably Mosel other Rheingau combining tasting some good wine and a little relaxation in a kurbad. (And maybe other pleasant things like a little hike in woodlands or strolling around in a small city on the edge between autumn and winter)

Koblenz From Koblenz to Bonn/Koln by Ferry ?
Posted: Sat April 24, 2004 06:25 PM UTC
I've just have looked thru timetable at k-d.com and have not understood how to get from Koblenz to Bonn.
It seems there's no ferries departing from Koblenz in this direction daily.
So, it arrives at 13:10 and then returns to Mainz?
I would like to take this trip at 29.04, but this timetable makes me hesitate.
Please, someone explain

Koblenz Rhien Tour
Posted: Sun March 28, 2004 02:18 AM UTC
Hello! Wondering if there is anymore info out there about the boat tours? My fiance and I were there last year and we speak limited German. Is there a way to get on and off the boats as you travel up/down stream? We are returning after our wedding in May this year and would like to explore a lot more than we were able to the first time.
Thanks for your thoughts!

If you drive to Koblenz, are there l/2 day (two three hour) cruises on the Rhine that you can just show up and get a ticket? I've heared that Koblenz is one of the best places to start a short boat ride down the Rhine River.

Koblenz Distance from Koblenz ferry to train station
Posted: Thu August 14, 2003 03:45 PM UTC
How long does it take to get from the ferry dock to the train station in Koblenz? I will be arriving in Koblenz via the KD ferry in September and then traveling on to Cologne via train. I have train schedules out of Koblenz to Cologne but do not know how long it will take to get from the ferry dock to the train station. Because I have friends meeting me in Cologne, I need to know the connection time from ferry to train in Koblenz, which will determine whether I can depart on the 2:00 or 3:00 PM train from Koblenz to Cologne. Can anyone give me directions from the Koblenz ferry dock to the Koblenz Hbf?

hi all,
i am coming to Frankfurt Hahn airport with Ryan air at midnight between friday and saturday.

There is a bus i can catch to get to koblenz (ZOB) which reaches at 01.25. I have my train to Hamburg at 01.30. Can I atch the train? How far is the bus station from the train station? In case i can't get the train, i have to wait till 6 in the morning for the next train. Do you think it's safe to wait at night in Koblenz station?

Thank you.

I'll be visiting this area Oct 5 2003. I am planning on staying in Mainz the night of the 4th, then taking the K-D boat to Koblenz on the 5th. I'd probably stay in Mainz the night of the 5th. Where can I find information on a train back to Mainz once we reach Koblenz.

Much thanks,
