Koblenz Need help with Koblenz Hbf
Posted: Sun May 18, 2008 11:38 PM UTC
Need someone familiar with the Koblenz HBF

If I take the train ... one of the changes in Koblenz goes from "Platform 7" (IC) to "Platform 5 Nord" (RB). How close are the platforms, and can the change be made in 5 minutes?

Same question ... Koblenz, from "Platform 2 Sud" (RB) to "Platform 3" (ICE) - also in 5 minutes.

Is there a web site with a diagram of the Koblenz station?

Thanks.

Koblenz Koblenz Station to TuS football Stadium & Tickets
Posted: Tue February 12, 2008 04:17 AM UTC
Hello. I'd like to know how I can get to the football stadium (Oberweis Stadium?) once I arrive at the Koblenz train station. Is taxi the only option? Any idea on fare? Bus option?

I'd like to catch TuS koblenz play but it's proving to be difficult to buy tickets online for foreigners. Are they usually sold out? Is it possible to get same day walk-up tickets at the stadium? I'd like to go to the 15Feb. game.

Thanks for any help!

hello. i`d like to know if there is a boat leaving mainz to koblenz or vice-versa, with no stop, or even, leaving koblenz till bingen with no stop. i`ll be by car, so, i have in mind leave the car in koblenz and take the boat, but i`m worried about how to return, once i just want a one-way trip. so if i get the boat from koblenz to bingen, for exemple, do i have any bus or train or whathever to get back faster? and what about the fares? thaks a lot.

Koblenz Ladies and Gentlemen.......a meeting, if you like!!
Posted: Mon March 26, 2007 03:58 PM UTC
I'm going to Germany and Poland on a 3 week motorcycle trip in June 2007. I will arrive in a little village called Rhens (where I will stay for 2 nights to explore the area) just south of Koblenz on 16th June and would like to meet other VT'ers who may live there, or maybe those just passing through like myself.

So, if you're the kind of person who would like to meet up for a beer or two, and to have a bit of a laugh then please let me know.

Koblenz Visiting Koblenz
Posted: Mon February 26, 2007 05:48 PM UTC
We will be visiting Koblenz at the end of April.
We missed the Deutsches Eck last time we were here and don't want to miss it again. We also want to drive the Rhine between Koblenz and Bingen am Rhein. If we only have time for one drive, would you suggest the left or right bank?

Koblenz Mosel Valley: Cochem to Koblenz
Posted: Fri January 5, 2007 02:27 PM UTC
Mosel River Valley Help Requested

I am planning a family vacation... 20 adults! I need some help.
I would like to hire a local guide for 3 days to help us navigate the Mosel Valley from Cochem to Koblenz (interests are castles, art & architecture, local history, wine, half-day cruise, shopping).
I would also like to hire a small bus/coach for transportation to castle sites and other points of interest in the area.

Please provide your recommendations for:
Accommodations in Cochem with an on-site restaurant.
A smart local guide who speaks English (Ich spreche nur ein bisschen Deutsch).
A transportation/coach company.

Thank you, and I look forward to your response!

Koblenz Need Springtime Advise
Posted: Sun December 3, 2006 03:11 PM UTC
My wife and I are arriving in Frankfurt mid April for a 2 week trip headed to Amsterdam and then to Copenhagen. We plan to get Eurail Pass for the majority of our inter-city travels but want to see lots along the way. My first idea was to stop in Koblenz for 2 days, one day being a day trip up and back on the Rhine and the other renting a car and exploring. I am looking for ideas and recommendations. We like B&Bs but have not seen any info on VT.

Thanks for your help.

Koblenz Theft of statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I at Deutsches Eck
Posted: Tue February 7, 2006 11:30 PM UTC
After visiting Koblenz, I am interested in the theft of the damaged statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I at Deutsches Eck at the end of World War II.
1. Does anyone know of any books or articles in English about this event? 2. Does anyone know of any books or articles in German about his event?
I would be grateful for any information available.

Hi, this wednesday I'll be arriving at Frankfurt-hahn airport, I believe I can get a bus at 23:00CET which arrives at Koblenz main station at 01:30, from reading other posts here, I believe you can't wait at the station as they close at 02:00, is it possible to get a taxi from Koblenz to Nurburg (Nurburgring) and how much would we be talking about.
Thanks in advance,

Koblenz Getting to Klobenz
Posted: Mon February 21, 2005 09:30 PM UTC
Hi,

I will be visiting Klobenz in a few weeks and my flight will be arriving in Frankfurt International airport. I was wondering if someone can help me find the best way to get to Klobenz from Franfurt Intl Airport, instead of renting a car and drive there myself. Would I have to take a train, bus or taxi? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
