I moved to The Hague just about two weeks ago and I would like to make new friends. I'm Italian and I lived already in Leiden for 3 years and a half. I know a bit the city of The Hague but not soo well. I'd like to meet up with people and make new friends. What's the gay life like here in The Hague?

Hy. I am coming to The Hague. I will take a plane to Charleroi. Could someone tell me please how do i get to The Hague from Charleroi airport because i really don't know what to do. If you can please tell me exactly what but/train to take. I am interested on 17 may.

I will also like to know how can i get fom The Hague railway station to noorderbeekdwarsstraat street. What bus i should take?

And what chances i have to find an apartment to rent around 800 E in The Hague.

Is the current building of The Hague Department Store The Bijenkorf the same as the one I shopped in as a child in the late 1940's?

does anyone know of if the Netherlands Dance Theater or the Royal Dutch Ballet will be performing in Amsterdam or The Hague?

I've been reading alot of VT Tips Regarding things to do in the Hague. There seems to be alot of places to see but I only have one day. Any suggestion on what are the must see places in the Hague as well as the order by which I should go so that I can save time walking around? I'll be coming from Amsterdam by train so I guess my starting pt is the central station.

Well, i've made it to Europe. Even the Netherlands by now (south of france was wonderfull but cold... Too used to the hot climates by now). I have a fairly busy schedule by now but if any of you old VT-meet people (or new ones of course) feel like meeting up it would be great. I love seeing you again (or for the first time...).

I'll be in the Hague/Zoetermeer from the 29th till the 2nd (have to get up REAL early to get back to Paris for my flight *sigh*). So, any plans/ideas? I won't have too much time unfortunately. And having dinner is slightly out of budget (i think both me and my wallet would have an attack!). But coffee/drinks any time of the day woudl be great.

A newspaper article has led us to beleive that there is a regular bric-a-brac market in the Hague, every Thursday morning from 10 o'clock. We're visiting the city in mid-Janaury, and would like to know in which street(s) this is to be found.

Ok, i know i have been away for a while (hey, i'm not complaining) but i'll be back in the netherlands and the hague probably end of december for a few days. Does anyone feel like meeting up? I'm not sure when exactly yet since i'm still trying to fitt everything and everybody in a 3 week schedule (south of france and the netherlands) but i'd love to meet many of you again (or for a first time).

I will be in the Hague for the period of three months between 1-st september and 1-st december. I know it is not short period, but I fear that I will not have enough time because of my job..., and I do not want to miss anything, so I have a few questions:

1. I need good internet street map of the Hague. It will be good if I can have some kind of print version map to introduce myself before my arriving.

2. I need addresses of cheap restaurants where I can eat fast food and also cooked meals.

3. Is there any official site of local transport in the Hague ?

4. How much is the train or bus return ticket from the Hague to Paris ? I need the cheapest way.

5. What is the best and cheapeast way for traveling across The Netherlands ?

I have not beem here in a while but I know someone will come through and help me cuz you'all have always done so. Visiting The Hague this weekend (Fri. & Sat)and I have three questions.

1. Can I take the tram from the center where our hotel is to Scheveningen (the beach)? If not what is the best way to get there, taxi?

2. I looked up the transportation info at http://www.holland.com/include/loadaddenhaagnl.html?page=http://www.htm.net but I am not sure if the map is for just the trams, or trams and buses. I was hoping maybe someone could read the non-English section and it will be clearer.

3. Are there places/bars there where you can play pool?

I'm being flown over for an interview in the Hague on Monday...a bit excited as I've never been to the Netherlands before. Anyway, they've booked me on quite a late flight back to England...at 9pm. I'm assuming the interview will be over by 5pm, so the question is, do I have enough time to see at least something in either the Hague or Amsterdam? Any ideas?

It only takes half an hour to get from the Hague to the airport, right?

I visit the nice website of public transport in Den Haag but i've soma quesions for your attention:
I'd like to know if it's possbile for turists to buy a daily ticket and the price.
Also, if it's not possible, price for single ticket and time of validity (Zone: Center and Sheveningen).

- Bests coffeshops in Center Den Haag? I remember "Blue Waterman" in Wagenstaat where I go same years ago: it's open againg? And nice others?
- I like footbol and the Fifa world cup. You now if it's possible watch of best european teams in TV (cable or hotels TVC)? And in witch channels?

Does anyone of you know a campground near Den Haag, as I'm going on a bike trip this summer with my boyfriend visiting the capitals of the provinces. It really has to be near or in Den Haag as we'll do a day trip to Den Haag from there.
Otherwise, are there any other hostels apart from the Stayokay and how much do they cost (dorm or double in EUR).
