i believe there are no airport buses going to skopje from the airport. does anyone know roughly how much a taxi will be going to the city centre??

What is the best way to get from Athens to skopje? I looked at flights last night and found one for $250USD and it was direct. Today when I went to book it was $1000USD and no direct flights were found? Any help would be appreciated. My end destination is Bitola.

Hi! Are there any 3,4 or 5 star hotels near Skopje airport? I'm spending 1 night in Stonebridge Hotel first, then I'm driving to Ohrid for 2 nights, and then back to Skopje via Krushevo. I'm catching a plane very early the morning after, and I was thinking of avoiding Skopje downtown and sleep in a hotel near the airport, but I can't find any. Any suggestions?

Please recommend some local Website(s) that list prices for renting long term Room, flat in Skopje.

Anyone stayed in either? They seem okay from the website offer, but I haven't found any reviews.

any idea how much are they for per person, per day or night ? I hope they have stove or microwave for cooking food purposen ? Ideally can be close to city.

I go in skopje a lot of times during the year, i love it.
check out marakana, castro, mammas, midnight(former Process), colloseum, Hard rock (letni they called cuz it works only on summer time and lots of other that cant really think of right now

As many hotels are booked up by fellow Scots travelling for the W/C qualifier football match, can anyone help with contacts who have self catering or guest houses? Online booking agents are asking inflated prices like 168 euros per double room for 3 star hotels for the few rooms they claim are still available. Dates are 4 to 8 September. We would rather pay someone who will get the money rather than a large percentage to an agency. Also we would rather meet Macedonian people and their families in family run hotels if they exist in Skopje.

I would like to know what is the weather like in Skopje in this time of the year? What type of clothes should I take? T-shirts, umbrella, winter jacket? I'll be staying there for 4 days and I don't want to carry unnecessary luggage.... I remember very hot summer, but I've never been to Skopje in autumn.....

I am trying to work out the easiest way to get from Skopje to Budva. So far I've found at that it's probably best to go via Pristina but from there are there buses or train that go anywhere near Budva?

Hi my husbands best friend is getting married in Skopje Macedonia. We are in San Diego, California United States. Does anyone know how to fly there cheap? I found tickets for over $2000 just for one person! I know a round the world trip ticket costs less then that. Or if you can help with ideas for that as well. We want to travel and make a film for kids telling them how Good God is. A lot of kids these days are growing up in broken homes, drugs, etc. We want to show them that someone out there does love them and this is a beautiful world. Please help us anyway possible. I cant seem to find a timetable for trains from Skopje to Thessaloniki in English, what time do they leave skopje? how long does it take? and how much does it cost for a return?

My Cousin and I are coming to Skopje in August. We want to visit either Budva or anything that doesnt take to long to get to. We want something with a beautiful beach and relaxing. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go and how to get there??? We do not want to drive. Train would be our first choice if possiable. We dont mind taking the bus as long as it is comfortable.

I am going to visit Macedonia with friends at the end of May, we want to stay in Skopje for one or two nights. There should be a camping in City Park, does anybody know if it will be open or is in servis in summer season only? Or could you recommend some really cheap accommodation (less than 10 Euro)?

I'd like to visit Skopje from London but flights tend to be expensive - is there anywhere I can fly to instead ie. somewhere that a budget airline flies and then get a train to Skopje from there?

Also what are the options for going to Athens from Skopje by train? Is this safe for a lone woman or two lone women?
