We will be taking two elderly couples, all of which are quite picky with food as they are either allergic to regular cooking oil, allergic to canned tomato and so forth. We googled some accommodation but the closest apartment and hopefully it really has a kitchen wherein you are able to do your cooking from scratch, the name of these apartment hotel is: Hotel Victoria Garden - Hotel Appart. and the location is 60 rue de la Grotto.
Has anyone ever stayed at these apartment hotel? Since these two elderly couples are using a wheel chair, could you tell us how far of a walk would it be to the entrance of the grotto?
Do you know if they are open during the month of November, 2009? As I heard Lourdes closes during winter. Many thanks to all,

Dear fellow virtual tourists:
Can anyone recommend a shortest route to Albi from San Franicsco?
Should I fly into Toulouse?
Does Toulouse's airport close to the train station?
Do I need to reserve train tickets to Albi from Toulouse?
Is the train the type you have to ride on the destinated time?
Please advise on the method to arrive Albi.
Thanks much in advance.
I am reaching Lourds at around 12.30 PM. I am departing at 10 in the evening by a train back to Paris. I have around 8-10 hours to visit places in Lourds.
Do you know of any local guided tours in Lourds?
I have been searching on the web, but found only packages to Lourds from Paris etc. but no local full day tours in Lourds.
I've an early flight with Ryanair from Rodez in June. I'll be arriving in Rodez by train around 9 at night and would really appreciate if someone could recommend a clean hotel for the night - somewhere near the station would be ideal. Don't need many facilities (other than a clean comfy bed!) as I'll only be sleeping there and leaving early the following morning.
How easy is it to get a taxi to the airport or is there a bus I can get?
In may im going with my school to lourdes, we're staying at the alba hotel and are being given breakfast and the evening meals. so i was wondering how many euros would i need to take additionally as we are staying for a week, with 2 nights on a ferry.
Hello, Can anyone advise me the price of the taxi from Pau airport to Lourdes? Would it be easy to book a taxi returning to Pau from Lourdes for early morning flights?
Are there much to travel around Lourdes worth hiring a car for? and the parking in Lordes?
My husband and I are planning a vacation to Europe this summer. Our primary destination is Lourdes & Paris, and surrounding area(if possible). We plan to leave the US on Jun 25, return on Jul 4, 2009.
We're Catholics, so we want to experience all we can have in Lourdes.
So, can anyone give us ideas about our itinerary?
Also, is it possible(or better) to have the fligt from US --> Barcelona and Paris --> US? Since Lourdes is closer to Barcelona than to Paris.
We will be visiting Basel Switzerland in October and we would like to take public transportation or we could rent a car to go Lourdes, France over a period of one week.. with possible side trips. Train service in Switzerland from Basel to Geneva is all I found and I can't seem to find anything beyond towards Lourdes. I would appreciate If anybody could advise how to search on the internet for this travel plan. Thanks so much in advance.
My husband wants to go to Lourdes when we visit Paris this Summer. We have to board our cruise on Thursday and this means we have to leave Paris for Venice on Wednesday. Every tour that I am looking up is 2-day tour leaving Wednesday and come back on Thursday. Is it possible for us to take a trip to Lourdes on our own at any giving day since our time/date is very limited? Will we survive to take a trip by ourselves as we are non-French speaking folks?:-) I would appreciate any information!
we are looking for an accomodation (appartment, flat or house) for 4 (3 adults and one baby) around lourdes: week of 17/08/09 to 24/08/09 (less than 310 euros).
can someone help us?
thanks a lot
We're planning to follow the tour this year from Barcelona through Andorra and ultimately to Bareges (at the base of Col du Tourmelat), ultimately returning to Barcelona after a week in Bareges.
Can anyone give me advice on whether it would be better to travel by hire car or train / bus? We will have bicycles with us so a train would perhaps be better.
Alternatively how long would it take to drive from Barcelona to Bareges? Is it possible to return a hire car somewhere near Bareges so that we wouldn't have to pay hire fees all week?
I'm also looking for accomodation for one night in the Andorra region or somewhere along the tour route if anyone has any suggestions.
I will be visiting Paris, Mont St Michel, and Tours in April by train/buses (I do not drive!). Can anyone tell me how I would plan a 1 or 2 night visit to Rocamadour? Is it possible by train or bus? I had only intended on visiting Western France (a circuitous route via train starting in Paris to MSM then to the Loire Valley then back to Paris) but when I saw pictures of Rocamadour, I wanted to go there too! Suggestions? Thanks!

Does anyone know of a night train from Lourdes to Paris? Since the train journey is about 7 hours, I was wondering if I could do the journey at night and spend more of the day at the sanctuary.
The voyages-sncf website is in French and I don't quite understand it fully. The night train that it reports is to "Paris Austerlitz" on the "Lunea". The price is 74 euros. It also says "Loisir Spécial Web". Does that mean this is a web special deal?
For these trains or the TGV, is it better to book them on the internet or buy them at the station? Are there ticket machines at the stations where you can buy with a card, or does it involve waiting in long lines?
