Brno apartment short let
Posted: Thu February 26, 2009 05:17 AM UTC
Can someone please help me; I am coming to Brno on the 28th of this month for 8 nights & need an apartment which has 3 bedrooms. Ideally I would like it to be close to the city centre but I don’t mind if it’s slightly out. The apartment must be modern in terms of living area & have parking nearby.

Thank you in advance.

Brno Brno in a day
Posted: Tue February 24, 2009 03:04 AM UTC
Hi all,

We were planning a day trip from Vienna late March. I wanted to know if it is feasible to do the following in a day - Petrov&Cathedral/Spilberk Castle/Zelny & Old town/Nam Svobody & Masarykov, stopping at a couple of museums along the way plus some time for a veggie lunch. (we will have 8-9 hours in Brno).

Can we do this entire circuit on foot, or do we need local transport? We will land up at the main bus station. Any other must-see sights that I am missing?

Thanks,
AJ

Brno Are there any hostels in Brno?
Posted: Tue February 3, 2009 12:09 AM UTC
Hello all
I'm visiting Brno in April and i see that the Travellers Hostel is only open during July and August, that's no good to me obviously.
Can anyone recommend another hostel in Brno if there is one? Of course i would like to stay in the city centre and be close to the main sights, and i would like a reasonably priced place too! Tall order! :D
Can anyone recommend a place?
I can't find anything online
Thanks!

Brno Luggage at Brno Train Station
Posted: Fri May 23, 2008 12:52 PM UTC
Does anyone know if there are left-luggage lockers at Brno train station? I will be stopping off for a couple of hours (to visit the Janacek museum) on the way from Vienna to Prague, and I don't want to have to drag my heavy bag through the streets.

Many thanks.

I will be in Brno for 3 days later this month and I'm interested in taking a day trip outside of Brno for one of those days. Would you happen to have any suggestions that can be done using public transportation?

Thanks a lot!

Brno semester at Masaryk University
Posted: Sat November 3, 2007 08:37 PM UTC
Can anyone who lives in Brno give me their thoughts about Masaryk University? I am trying to decide where to spend a semester abroad in Fall 2008 and Masaryk is one of my options. I don't know anything about the area. I've read the University's website but I'd like an unbiased opinion. Another option is the Anglo-American College in Prague. It seems much smaller (definitely newer) - probably much less prestigious than Masaryk.

Is it pretty easy to get from Brno to western Europe? I have a friend living in Geneva and I'd like to go on as many weekend trips around western and eastern Europe as I can while I'm living there for 4 months.

Thanks!

Brno A question
Posted: Tue April 24, 2007 09:19 PM UTC
I have a question about Brno.

I love the Czech Republic and would love to spend more time there but unfortunately the time for my trip to Brno is very limited because of commitments - I can take 1 day or at a stretch two. As Brno is a small town, and I have a fast pace when checking out the sights, would I be able to see a lot in one day? or would I definitely need two?

Any info much appreciated.

Two of us plan to spend about a week on portions of the Czech Greenways trail in S. Moravia & S. Bohemia. Does the trail extend into Breclav? We're thinking of that as our starting point.

Many thanks for information / tips.

Brno how about getting to Vienna
Posted: Sun October 29, 2006 12:37 PM UTC
I've tried booking a Eurolines bus to Vienna from Brno but the Czech site says the line doesn't exist. It appears on the Austrian page but you have to buy the ticket via the Czech side. Any advice for Eurolines or other, (cheap) ways to get to Vienna on the 10th of November? Cheers.
