Souvenirs de Jablunkov Posted: Sun April 27, 2008 08:03 AM UTC
Bonjour,
Merci d'avance.

Run Down on Ostrava Posted: Mon November 26, 2007 04:11 PM UTC
I have a general question: Should I stop in Ostrava? My girlfriend and I get to go to Europe once every year, and this year--to my delight--we've chosen Prague/Krakow. Because I'm a Czech Republic junky, I've begun to look into stopping for one night in Ostrava on our way to Krakow (I've never been to Ostrava). I've been to many towns in Czech, and generally love every place I go. Do you think a night there would be worth it? Or should we just go straight from Prague to Krakow? We are both the adventurous types, but I fear Ostrava is the sort of town I would like very much, but others might think it a bit odd or intimidating given that neither of us speak Czech. I don't know if that makes sense. Just some general comments would be GREATLY appreciated!

Day Trips From Ostrava Posted: Mon June 13, 2005 05:24 PM UTC
I will be visiting my boyfriend in Ostrava for several days at the end of August. He will mostly be busy with seminars and concerts, so I will be on my own to explore. Does anyone have some recoommended day trips from Ostrava? I like to visit small old towns. Also can you recommend a nice spot in Ostrava to while away the town? Any nice coffee shops, magazine stores, etc?
Thank you!

Vrbno Posted: Wed March 12, 2003 02:39 PM UTC
Has anyone been to Vrbno? It's my grandfather's birthplace. I don't know much about it, but would like to go and stay. If anyone has any information about Vrbno, I would appreciate it. Also, I'm interested in local accomodations. Mitch
