not that I plan on going to Kerguelen anytime before I die, but out of curiousity, anyone know how to get there if your a tourist type person as compared to a scientest type person? Just wondering.

I am taking my 13 year old daughter on a AAAS expedition in Jan. to the Antarctic Peninsula. Any advice on clothing, or special preparation for her?

Climber wishes to try the Vinson Massif in Antartcia, WITHOUT joining an organized tour group Suggestions on travel by air (and/or ship) to Patriot Hills or the Bryan Coast area would be appreciated.

Can anyone tell me about passage on the Russian ships in the Antarctic waters?

Any assistance will help.
