Paranga Beach Bar Posted: Mon October 12, 2009 03:37 PM UTC
Hello,
My fiance and I are going to be in Mykonos next week (starting Oct 18th). I've been to the Paranga Beach during the summer before and it was the place to be. Does anyone know if it will be open this late in the season?
If you don't know, a recommendation on a comparable place will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Patrick

Ferry from Mykonos to Delos Posted: Sun September 20, 2009 12:16 AM UTC
Would anyone know if the ferry ride to Delos still operates on November this year? Our cruise ship spends a day there, and we'd like to visit Delos without being forced to go through the ship excursions.
Is the ferry near the port?
Do anyone have the schedule?
How much does it cost?
i am bringing some seniors with me, is the walking in Delos hard?

Mykonos weather in late November? Posted: Tue September 15, 2009 09:44 PM UTC
I will be in Greece for a week in late November. I will be spending most of the time in and around Athens but also wanted to visit Mykonos.
Whats the weather generally like in Mykonos during late November?
I know that November is off-peak season... so is it worth visiting Mykonos during that time? (I know its subjective!!!)
Are the pubs/bars/hang out places open? Will there be any crowd in the off-peak season?
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks.

Mykonos Honeymoon in October - Beach chairs & Delios Posted: Tue August 18, 2009 10:23 PM UTC
Hello,
My fiance and I will be starting our honeymoon in Mykonos during the second half of October. I know this is into the off-season...
1) Can anyone recommend a beach with chairs and even better a bar that will be open in the second half of October? I've been to Paranga Beach before and had a blast. Do you think the club there will still be open in October?
2) What is the best way to tour Delios? I'd like to pay extra for a private tour if they're worth it.
Any other suggestions for a Mykonos honeymoon in October would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Mykonos beaches Posted: Mon August 17, 2009 03:16 PM UTC
My husband and I are going to Mykonos in 2 weeks, and would love to find a more secluded, white sand beach away from the majority of the tourists. We would enjoy a beach bar, but not with the masses. Is this possible in Mykonos?? We are staying at Petassos Beach Resort. Any suggestions of beaches nearby?

Getting around Mykonos Posted: Mon August 17, 2009 08:09 AM UTC
Hi,
We are a group of 7 friends and would like to travel around the island of Mykonos. We are arriving in Mykonos on the 17th of September and leave on the 21st. We will be residing in Paradise Beach Resort, Paradise Beach. How easy will it be to travel around the main tourist attractions using the bus network please? We definately would like to visit Mykonos Town, Little Venice and The Windmills. We also would like to enjoy the nightlife, therefore please inform us about the availability of transport from Mykonos Town and Little Venice back to Paradise Beach till late hours (let's say 4am). Also we would appreciate if someone can link us to the fares / timetable for each tour. We have checked the website but its really lacking details!
We would like to thank you deeply for the time you are investing in this message. Looking forward to visit Mykonos!

new restaurants.... Posted: Sat August 1, 2009 04:51 AM UTC
Wondering if anyone can recommend any new restaurants in Mykonos - cheap, expensive (though usually those aren't very good), traditional or contemporary. Heading back to Mykonos this September with a friend.

mykonos to santorini Posted: Fri July 3, 2009 06:16 AM UTC
my wife and I will be visiting mykonos in mid september. I would like some suggestions on a more local, quiet, greek style island, with local eateries(preferably seafood) and bars and maybe even a beach or two,and maybe explore the island by motorbike, where we can chill for 3 or 4 days, and then continue onto santorini. I know I am asking a lot, I want it all, without the crowds or the inflated expense, but is there such a place? Thank you for your time.

Ferries and accomodation Posted: Wed April 22, 2009 01:00 PM UTC
Hi!!! I have a few questions:)
We are planning to visit the greek islands in June, 2009. The starting point is Samos. We want to spend 1 week in the islands, the two islands we want to visit are Mykonos & Santorini. The greek ferries havent declared their timetables yet:(
1. From Samos what kind of a route should we plan?
2. How many days in which island? Which other islands (on our way) worth seeing?
3. Are there any restaurants & pensions (not expensive) that you can reccomend?
4. Should we book on line or is arriving on the island and finding a place to stay better?
5. Approximately how much the hotels, ferries and lunch/dinners cost?
6. Is night life expensive?
7. any other tips?

Mykonos to Santorini on Ferry Posted: Wed April 15, 2009 12:26 PM UTC
Hi Guys,
Will be in Greek Islands in September. After spending 3 nights in Mykonos, plan to catch a ferry to Santorini. I have gone on www.ferries.gr and done a search for 12/9 and while 3 search results come up, they say it's not available.
Could someone please tell me why there appears to be no ferry availability online? Do you book when you get to the port or do ferries stop operating?
Appreciate your feedback.

transportation to Delos after 1pm Posted: Tue March 17, 2009 09:36 PM UTC
We are arriving to Mykonos in a cruise at 1pm, we would like to go to Delos but the tour organised by the cruise costs 93 dolars per person. Is there a ferry we can take? I have read that the last boat sails to Delos at 11:00 am, is there a ferry or boat to get there after 1pm?

Getting around Posted: Sun February 8, 2009 04:21 PM UTC
We are arriving on a cruise ship in July. It is a big ship (3000+ passengers). I am assuming that we will be tendering into town. Please help with these questions. After walking about in Mykonos, how does one get to Paradise or Super Paradise beach? I was thinking of renting a scooter (for two). Is it easy to get around and is it safe to park it at the beach area? If not, I heard somewhere you can take a boat (ferry) from the town of Mykonos to those beaches. Where do you catch the boat and how much will it cost? What about a bus? Thanks ahead of time for all your answers.

Our tour ends in Athens on Nov 25 and I'm planning visiting Mykonos from Nov 25-Nov29. Would the weather be awful during that time of the year? How about the water? would it be too cold to dive in? Pls advise. Thank you.

Mykonos to Athens: ferry or plane? Posted: Fri August 29, 2008 05:43 AM UTC
Debating between flying from Mykonos to Athens or taking a high speed catamaran.
The 7am flight is 47e - arrives at 7:35am. The next flight is at 1:05pm but is 110e and arrives at 1:40pm.
The Hellenic Seaways catamaran leaves at 5pm and arrives in Athens at 850pm and is 54e
The day of travel is a friday - so I'll be going out for dinner and a little Athens nightlife - which I imagine can start late. But how late?
I will have been on Mykonos for 5 days. I have no idea if I'll be ready to get back for some big city urbaness or have another full day in Mykonos. Any insight?
I'm guessing I can wait till I get to Athens to see how I feel about Athens. Or maybe even when I get to Mykonos? Or is that pushing my luck?
Any thoughts?

Staying in Platis Gialos for 3 days, looking for advice! Posted: Sun August 17, 2008 08:41 PM UTC
Hi,
I'll be staying at The Petinos Hotel in Platis Gialos for 3 days in Sept 2008. I'd love any suggestions for the following?
Casual, inexpensive places to eat. Being sure to include vegetarian items, as I'm a vegetarian, but my companion is not.
Is there a great beach that we should hang out at during the day? If so, how should we get there?
Is there an internet cafe somewhere?
Any other suggestions on what we should do or see?!?!
Can't wait and thanks in advance!

Cruise Ship 8:00 am to 11:59 pm Posted: Sat June 21, 2008 09:57 PM UTC
Hello all!!
Can anyone help me, im arriving to mykonos at 8:00 am and leaving at 11:59 pm,
we want to be free instead of getting tied up with shore excursions.
So well walk around town, and any recommendation for a good restaurant with a nice view? later on my brother and I will probably go to a beach...paradise or super paradise probably, but my parents id like for them to go to a more
"relaxed" beach and with less partying more appropriate for their age, any recommendations anyone. Also my brother and I would like to go to a great disco or club that might start early (especially since we are leaving at 11.59 pm)
so we can get a taste of the partying, also will we be able to find a cab at say 10:30 pm to take us to the ship? by the way were going on late september so i do know that the island might be a little slower than on summer, but we want to experience mykonos to the max.
thanks you all hope your having a great time!
and thanks beforehand!!

Questions! Posted: Thu June 19, 2008 11:41 PM UTC
Could someone help with these questions.
We are arriving via cruise ship and have 7:00am till 2:00pm.
1. How far away is Paradise Beach or Super Paradise Beach?
2. How do we get to Paradise Beach or Super Paradise Beach from where the cruise ship will dock (Princess Cruise Line)? Walk? Bus? Taxi? Water Taxi? How much?
3. Is there a scooter rental shop near where the ship docks? If so, how do I get there and do you know how much a scooter rental will cost?
4. Is it safe to scooter around Mykonos?
5. Where would be the best place to have a bite to eat for lunch (authentic with a view?)?

Flight transportation Posted: Mon June 16, 2008 08:25 PM UTC
Once we arrive in Athens, will we be able to book transportation flights to other Islands, such as Mykanos and Crete, on our own schedule? Or would it be more advisable to book transportation flights before arriving in Greece with a Travel Agent?

Various advices about Mykonos needed :-) Posted: Wed June 11, 2008 10:38 AM UTC
a bit long..sorry!! I am going to Mykonos with my boyfriend from 16 to 23 June and I need some advices:
- I have been to Mykonos 2 years ago, so I was wondering if it is worth staying there 4 days and myabe going 2 days to Naxos, which I haven't seen..my only doubt is that I'd like to have a relaxing week and don't want to bother too much (I've been to Nyc a month ago and I've walked too much!!)
- All the time I went to Greece I didn't book the accomodation but I found it at the port..that's where you find the best deals, even in August in Mykonos! This time I'm arriving by plane and I was wondering if people is waiting there to offer accomodation as they do at the port..also, a friend of mine once went to Mykonos in June and she told me that everything was full booked because of a national holiday or something..do you know anything about it?
- How's the trasportation like? If I sleep in the town do you think that I should be able to move by bus easily?
Thanks
