My cruise ship stops in Mykonos for 4 hours. What's the best thing to do in that amount of time? Recommendations?

Hi. We'll be arriving in mykonos airport at 1130, thurs on sept, and want to take the ferry to delos on the same day. Any suggestions?
Do we still have time to leave our luggage at our hotel then get to the port? or are there storage areas for luggage at the port?
How far is the airport to the main town, and main town to port?

Can anyone help me, im arriving to mykonos at 8:00 am and leaving at 11:59 pm,
we want to be free instead of getting tied up with shore excursions.
So well walk around town, and any recommendation for a good restaurant with a nice view? later on my brother and I will probably go to a beach...paradise or super paradise probably, but my parents id like for them to go to a more
"relaxed" beach and with less partying more appropriate for their age, any recommendations anyone. Also my brother and I would like to go to a great disco or club that might start early (especially since we are leaving at 11.59 pm)
so we can get a taste of the partying, also will we be able to find a cab at say 10:30 pm to take us to the ship? by the way were going on late september so i do know that the island might be a little slower than on summer, but we want to experience mykonos to the max.

Could someone help with these questions.
We are arriving via cruise ship and have 7:00am till 2:00pm.

1. How far away is Paradise Beach or Super Paradise Beach?
2. How do we get to Paradise Beach or Super Paradise Beach from where the cruise ship will dock (Princess Cruise Line)? Walk? Bus? Taxi? Water Taxi? How much?
3. Is there a scooter rental shop near where the ship docks? If so, how do I get there and do you know how much a scooter rental will cost?
4. Is it safe to scooter around Mykonos?
5. Where would be the best place to have a bite to eat for lunch (authentic with a view?)?

Once we arrive in Athens, will we be able to book transportation flights to other Islands, such as Mykanos and Crete, on our own schedule? Or would it be more advisable to book transportation flights before arriving in Greece with a Travel Agent?

a bit long..sorry!! I am going to Mykonos with my boyfriend from 16 to 23 June and I need some advices:
- I have been to Mykonos 2 years ago, so I was wondering if it is worth staying there 4 days and myabe going 2 days to Naxos, which I haven't seen..my only doubt is that I'd like to have a relaxing week and don't want to bother too much (I've been to Nyc a month ago and I've walked too much!!)
- All the time I went to Greece I didn't book the accomodation but I found it at the port..that's where you find the best deals, even in August in Mykonos! This time I'm arriving by plane and I was wondering if people is waiting there to offer accomodation as they do at the port..also, a friend of mine once went to Mykonos in June and she told me that everything was full booked because of a national holiday or something..do you know anything about it?
- How's the trasportation like? If I sleep in the town do you think that I should be able to move by bus easily?

We are arriving at Mykonos on a cruise ship docking at around 3 in the afternoon on Saturday 23rd July There is a tour organised by the cruise line, but it costs £35 each. It looks like you can't get a regular ferry in the afternoon, is there a way of getting to delos, and definitely getting beck around 7-8 ( the ship sails at 10!! ) thanks

Hello there, i was wondering if there is anyone else heading there in the period i'm staying? As i'm going all alone with my parents, and kinda expect to have fun over there.. Heard the paradise beach was Awesome.. Saw some video's on youtube and well.. i like it hehe! I'm staying in the Myconian Ambassador (Platys Gialos beach) You guys have any idea if there's a bus there heading the the Paradise Beach? Thanks!

Can I take a ferry/ies from the south or east of Turkey to Mykonos mid week in the summer?

WE have a little dog, and we would like to visit mykonos on june.
So I would like to know if the dogs are welcome on elia beach.

Hi,
I had purchase airtickets from Athens to Mykonos and return from Santorini to Athens. Now, I am stuck with no ferry to connect me from Mykonos to Santorini. I booked the airtickets earlier thinking that I will have no problem getting a connecting ferry. I tried Danae travel, www.gtp.gr, Hellenic Seaways, they all told me that there is no ferry connecting and that Hellenic Seaways route has not confirmed. Can anyone please let me know what other options that I have to get myself to Santorini? I checked flight as well, it will be on Aegean Air from Mykonos to Athens and Athens to Santorini... Is there any private local ferries from Mykonos? BTW, I need to travel on 18 April, 2008. Thank you.

Though I know it's early - I'm trying to find some info regarding ferry service from Santorini to Mykonos in Sept. 08. I've read the fast ferry is 3 1/2 hours, the slow ferry is 7 hours. Any ideas when I should book? My hotel in Athens says I should book immediately and gave me a travel agent website. I'm guessing it's still too early for the ferries to be posting info for September. I'm hoping there is at least one ferry from Santorini to Mykonos the day I want to leave - which is a Sunday. Any suggestions or comments?

I was wondering where the best party places are in mykonos. We are three aussies going -(two males gay) and one female (straight)- in our mid twenties and want to find some cool places that we will all like. We are basically heading over there just to have fun soak up the sand, surf and party life.

Any suggestions?

Nice homey touches - very affordable - but a bit out side of town (they say 10 minute walk or 3e taxi) - the room I'm interested has view of town and port.

If anyone has stayed at any of these places - your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know how long it takes to walk from the port of Mykonos, to Vienoula's Gardens Hotel?

In addition, are buses easily caught from Mykonos port and are things signposted (i.e. directions and buses) in English (not that I expect that at all and I am trying to learn Greek).

We are looking to spend a week in the Greek Islands soakin up the sun in mid April, and was wondering if Mykonos was a good option.

We are hoping to stay at a resort with a pool (not too fussed about the beach), but wonder if its warm enough to get some sun at that time of the year.

IS Mykonos, or the other Greek Islands 'open' in April or not until later in the year ?

I will be in Mykonos staying at Hotel Adonis in October and I want a Shirley Valentine moment. I've found on the net that the sunset was on Agios Ioannis, 5km from Mykonos Town. Can anyone tell me if there is a bus please. I'm on my own so don't want to pay for a taxi, unless it's real cheap. Also any information about bussing around the Island in general.

Im about to book my hotel in Mykonos, and dont know exactelly what is the best to do, location wise.
It is ok to stay in Mykonos Town, or will be a "zoo" 24/7?
i would like to be able to party, when fell like it and relax, in a quite hotel when i want to sleep...
so so far, Im thinking about Rhenia Bangalos or Nazos Hotel(anybody stayed there before? was it nice?) or Amazing views in Angios Stefanos (too far?).
what do you guys think about it?

I'll be in Mykonos (via cruise ship) next month (on a Friday) and want to do a trip to Delos.

Where can I find the schedule for the ferry to Delos? Also, if anyone already have that information, I would love to get it. In addition, is there a specific dock where I can get tickets and board the ferry?

I am planning my trip to Mykonos. I am traveling by misled and was considering staying in one of the beach cabins in the Paradise Beach Resort. I am traveling on a budget, which is why I was considering this place (25 euros a night). Have you guys stayed there before? If so, is it nice or you can recommend another place instead?

Am so lost hehe, i want to go mykons by ferry so what should i say to the Taxi at Athens airport ? which port?
I didn't book online any ferry ticket because the planes from where am coming they are always Delay am sure, so i dn't wanna book the ticket & then come to the port late & the ferry left without me , we are 2 of us , so is it bad if i didn't book in advance ?
Also one last question, as am staying there 13 days which Island is good to see other than Mykonos ?
