Are there many ships arriving in Patras from Italy? Posted: Mon September 14, 2009 08:45 AM UTC
Hi all, I wanted to get some advice on arriving in Patras from Italy. Are there more arrivals from Bari or there are more from Brindisi?
If we arrive in Patras late at night, are there buses to Athens from Patras even at night?
What are the bus companies? Any websites?
What about the ticket from from Patras to Athens?
Thank you for your help!

My husband and I will be arriving to Patras by ferry on Sunday 6 July 2008 at about noon. Can anyone tell me where the train to Athens can be found? What is the schedule? I understand (?) that there is no direct train anymore, so do we change trains? Where? Can we walk from the ferry to the train station? Thanks!

Road journey from Patras to Piraeus Posted: Sun October 15, 2006 03:19 PM UTC
I desperately need to know the distance and driving time between Patras docks and Piraeus docks. I am arriving at Patras at 1700 hours and leaving from Piraeus at 2300 hours and thought I had allowed enough time. Now I have heard that it can take about an hour from the time the ferry arrives at Patras harbour entrance to when I disembark, and that I must be at Piraeus 2 hours before the departure of the ferry. This will only leave me three hours for the journey. Is that going to be enough (In December)
Any help appreciated.

choosing a place for vacation on Peloponese Posted: Tue January 17, 2006 10:39 PM UTC
I'd like to go there for vacation and I think of a place near Kata Achaia or Kylini. It would help me a lot to choose one of that places if I know:
1) which place is nicer?
2) how much time do I need to get by car from that places to Korinth? (sure I checked the distance on the map but roads differs a lot ... and I would prefer not to spend 10 hours a day in a car visiting that places)
Thank you in advance,
Chiara

accommodation in Patras Posted: Fri August 5, 2005 11:46 PM UTC
I will stay in Patras all September 2005 and I am looking for accommodation.
I have the possibility to stay at the University Students Residence, can anybody tell me about life there?
I would prefer to stay close to the city center, in case I find something not very expensive (hostel, rented or shared flat...). I found information of hotels in the GNTO page but the small ones have not web or e-mail.
Can you inform me?
Thanks

Where to Stay and How's the driving Posted: Tue June 7, 2005 12:57 PM UTC
Greetings, I am traveling with my two children to Greece on 15 June, arriving in Patra shortly after. We want to visit the following sites while there: St. Andrews, Theatre of the Castle of Patra, St. Nicholas church, Achia Claus Winery, Kalavryta the Monestary, Skepasto for a celebration and general points of interest in and about Patra. Where do you suggest I stay and how easy is it to get to these places without having to rent a car (I confess I'm a bit nervous about driving there)Any guidance is much appreciated. Thanks

George's Restaurant in Patras Posted: Sat January 1, 2005 02:50 PM UTC
I will be going to Patras again and I am looking for the phone number to George's Restaurant in Patras. It is the best restaurant in Patras. I made some very nice friends there who treated me very well. Nik, Spiro and Gus run the restaurant and take great care in ensuring everyone has an enjoyable experience in Greek dining. If you have the number to the restaurant please send it to me. Thank you.

Pizza Lois in Patras Posted: Fri October 22, 2004 05:54 AM UTC
Hello fellow Patras Lovers,
I used to love to Go to Patras during the 1990s. There were two wonderful pizzarias in Patras that were better than any in the world. One was Pizza Lois, and the other one was called Pizza El Paso. I don't remember where they were. Does any one live in Patras who can help.

Lodgings in Patras Posted: Sun May 25, 2003 09:08 PM UTC
We're a family of four arriving by ferry in Patras (20 july 2003). Anyone have suggestions about reasonably priced hotel accomodation there? We're staying for just one night and will be traveling on the next day. I find it very hard to find good information on the internet about staying in Patras (only listings with hotel names, no e-mail addresses, rates or websites). Thanks!!!
