Accomodation in Mbarara??

Hi. I'm going to Mbarara for 3 months, to conduct field work for my final thesis at University (Denmark) - and am now looking for a place to stay in Mbarara. As I'm on a tight budget, I need for it to be as cheap as possible. However, I would very much like to find a place, where I can cook my own food, etc. Do you have any suggestions?
