Hi everyone,
I'm going to Cyprus and considering my communications options. One of them is purchasing a prepaid SIM card with a local number. My questions:
1. Is there online information in English regarding the price of different SIM cards & call rates?
2. Does the price vary, according to where I buy it (tourist popular places vs. "regular" stores)? We will be landing in Larnaca & staying in Paphos, so anywhere along the way is a possibility.

I am trying to compare travel times. I would like to know how long it takes to drive from Ercan airport to Karsiyaka (this is near Kyrenia)and also how long it takes to drive from Larnaca airport to Karisiyaka?

I will not be taking a taxi. Friends will be collecting me in their car. They have told me either airport is ok but I don't want to inconvenience them if Larnaca is a much longer drive

Will we encounter snakes in and around the hotel complex Atlantica Oasis in Limassol as I have serious fear of snakes and I will be taking two toddlers with me in Oct 2009. I will be checking under the beds and in cupboards every night at this rate, unless I am reassured they are only found in more remote areas of the country.

Does anyone know why Cyprus is blank on Google Maps? No roads. No nothing!

Hi everyone..im going to Paphos at the end of november/first week of december for a week with my boyfriend. We want a quiet relaxing break to recharge our batteries, but im not sure what the weather will be like or whether or not there will be many restaurants or bars open as we are planning to do self catering. can anyone help or suggest a hotel or area. I dont even mind going to another part of Cyprus as we are flying to Larnaca but can easily change our plans. thanks very much...

Hi i will be going to aiyanapa next week and i will be staying in Adams beach hotel.. has anyone ever been there??? are there any restaurants, shops and bars close by????

we just need a beach relaxing holiday?? is it a good place to chill out???/ how far by car it is from aiyanapa centre and is it difficult to drive over there??

We will be on business in Cyprus, and decided to make a holiday of it. We are looking for a really good hotel or villa w/a sea view between larnaca & Limasol, since we are celebrating our 10th anniversary, and want it to be special.
It's difficult to find info. online, and from the little I found, Larnaca has only one 5 star hotel, and the reviews are so so.
Any suggestions?

My friend is getting married at the Athena Beach Hotel next year and I am wondering if anyone could give me advice on any hotels nearby to this one and of varying buget requirements, quite a few friends are keen to attend the wedding but are lookign for cheaper accomodation. If anyone knows of any could you please let me know and roughly how close they are to the Athena Beach.

I myself will be taking my baby - at the time of the wedding she will be 11 months so need a hotel that caters for children.

The address of Paphos bus station is Karavelle, but i cant see it on a map, is it down by the harbour near Posidhonos ?. Also do the minibus taxi express leave from Karavelle ? Hope someone can help . Thanks.

25-30 Euros/night, or rooms even? Or any nearby romantic coastal towns where
accommodation is easy to find and public transport can take you easily ??

1.How far is it from Larnaca to Keryneia?
2.What is the best way to get to Keryneia,eg bus,car,train

Im wondering about the following thing's
1.is it possible to sail to either Greece or Turkey from Larnaca and if so how nuch wud it roughly cost.
2.Is there many problems if I crossed over into northern Cyprus and would we have any hassle coming back into southern Cyprus( do I need a visa,as im Irish).
3.How expensive is Cyprus,eg food,drink,taxis from airport to hotel.
4.Are there any good niteclubs and are there any Irish bar's?.

We decided to visit Cyprus this summer and we shall be getting to Kyrenia by ferry. We don't plan to stay in the Turkish side as we will have friends waiting for us in the Southern Cyprus.

1. How difficult is it to cross the borders? We're a Maltese couple and hold an EU passport.

2. Is there be any public transport between North and South?

3. Anybody knows if there are daily ferries departing from Alanya?

4. Where is best to spend a week? Shall we move from one place to another or we should be based in a place, hire a car and move around? We're mainly interesting in nightlife and beaches. And some sight seeing too.

Would appreciate any feedback asap!

Does anyone know if i can charter a private boat from cyprus to israel for a round trip, for 2-3 people. It's a surprise present, so don't want the public cruise options. The only ad i can find is for cyprus yacht co, and they look expensive. Are there locals who might do it cheaper, or ex pats??
