Im wondering about the following thing's
1.is it possible to sail to either Greece or Turkey from Larnaca and if so how nuch wud it roughly cost.
2.Is there many problems if I crossed over into northern Cyprus and would we have any hassle coming back into southern Cyprus( do I need a visa,as im Irish).
3.How expensive is Cyprus,eg food,drink,taxis from airport to hotel.
4.Are there any good niteclubs and are there any Irish bar's?.

Does anybody know if it's possible to get a boat/ferry to Egypt form larnaca in September and if so a rough idea of the cost.

Hello everyone

We decided to visit Cyprus this summer and we shall be getting to Kyrenia by ferry. We don't plan to stay in the Turkish side as we will have friends waiting for us in the Southern Cyprus.

1. How difficult is it to cross the borders? We're a Maltese couple and hold an EU passport.

2. Is there be any public transport between North and South?

3. Anybody knows if there are daily ferries departing from Alanya?

4. Where is best to spend a week? Shall we move from one place to another or we should be based in a place, hire a car and move around? We're mainly interesting in nightlife and beaches. And some sight seeing too.

Would appreciate any feedback asap!

Does anyone know if i can charter a private boat from cyprus to israel for a round trip, for 2-3 people. It's a surprise present, so don't want the public cruise options. The only ad i can find is for cyprus yacht co, and they look expensive. Are there locals who might do it cheaper, or ex pats??

Is it possible to fly direct to nicosia from the Manchester or Liverpool? If not does anybody know if it will be possible in the near future?.

my girlfriend and i will be arriving in larnaca airport august 22nd around 2:30 in the afternoon, and traveling to choral bay, pafos. anyone traveling to and arriving in larnaca around that time interested in sharing a cab to choral bay and splitting the cost, let me know. thanks.

I will board a ship to Limassol which allows me about 5hours. I don't want to take shore excursion arranged by the cruise so if I do on my own, where to go for interesting place in Limassol and how with public transportation.

my girlfriend and i will be traveling to cyprus near the end of august. we are flying into larnaca, on a sat. afternoon, and we need to get to choral bay. does anyone know how things work as far as transportation is concerned? are there group shuttles that go to the resort areas from the airport? i know there are taxis but they are on the expensive side . any suggestions? thank you.

Its myself 19, and two other buddies who are 25 are heading to Ayia Napa in the middle of June. My question is how is the nightlife there, the partying, the girls ;), and just the overall experience. Also, I am 19.. How does that sound for a regular cyprus party.. not too young??? i hope.. Please let me know or reply as soon as possible.

We are heading to Larnaca next June, in our way to Cairo, and am trying to get information on a cheap place to stay,the closer to the airport the better.Waking distance will be great.
What are the prices like? expected total budget per day for staying there?

hi all, i'm going to sweet memories apartments half board for my 40th birthday on 23rd may for 2 weeks. has anyone stayed there? i've been to melini before and it was good. right in the centre. i know sweet memories is a few mins walk from the main rd but can anyone give me any info on it? reviews are mostly great but there is the odd terrible one.

I will be there for 2 weeks and I want to know how is the weather there at this time of the year. Is it too cold to swim in the sea? Are there any nice festivals or events worth attending? Greece or Cyprus in early March? Weather? Ferries?

I am contemplating on Greece or Cyprus for March 2010. I will go to Greece either way, the toss up is whether to spend 3 weeks in Cyprus, and 5 weeks in Greece, or the full 2 months in Greece (and skip Cyprus). My decision lies with which country has the best weather (in early March), and Greek ferry connections in Spring? If I go to Greece for the full 2 months (March, and April), am I going to easily find ferries interconnecting the islands, or do I have to keep backtracking to the mainland?

Also, what's the weather like in Cyprus in early March? How about Greek weather in early March?

I am coming from Lebanon, and Syria (where I will be spending January, and February). From Beirut airport, Olympic airlines flies to Athens for only 100euros (one way), and from Beirut to Cyprus is about 150euros.

If I go to Cyprus first, I will fly to Greece afterwards, with BlueAir (only 44euros from Paphos to Tessaloniki).

I was wondering if someone could give me some suggestions on hiking trails in the Troodos Mountains. It's just I don't want to go to a travel agency but rather do it by myself with a friend of mine. I also want it to be a safe trail so that I don't get lost and eaten by savage animals or something:D( that's if they do exist there)

Cyprus or Syria? January weather? What's the weather like?

I'm trying to decide where to spend January?

I'm doing a trip in Turkey which ends in January, and I have two options afterwards

1) Syria (I am interested in an entire tour of the country, in January, but I am unsure about the weather, and access to natural highlights, like mountains, coast, desert, etc...If January is a bad time to tour around Syria, let me know why.

2) Cyprus (also in January), I've heard Cypriot Springtime begins early, so I am thinking about Cyprus. I'm not sure about Cypriot natural beauty in January? I don't like skiing, but I do like mountain photography. How's the whole island of Cyprus in January.

Sidenote: If I choose Cyprus, what is the easiest way to leave Turkey (for Cyprus), see the whole of Cyprus, and then visit Greece?
