Hi all,

No matter i'm a Greek i've never been to Zakynthos yet; i'm going there this year though. I've heard about this wonderful turtle event and that only 3/1000 of them finally make it - i guess people have something to do with that.

Anyways, there is a day or a period of days that baby turtles pop out of their eggs and start walking towards the sea. This has to be a great thing to watch so i'd like to ask if anyone got to see it and what was the date cos i'd like to go.

I already know turtles leave their eggs between June and August, but i wanna know when the eggs get broken and newborns get out.

I am going to spend my summer holiday in Zante and would like to go to Kefalonia and Lefkada on the way back Does anyone know if there are ferries from Yante to Kefalonia and from Kefalonia to Lefkada and what are the prices approximately for two passengers and a car.

I hope to holiday in argassi in sept next, and has anybody any info about Hotel Contessa Argassi is it fairly quiet area near there I dont want lots of night clubs or noisey pubs near hand.

i'm traveling to zakynthos for my holiday, by car. i wanna now what is the best way to reach zakynthos from thessaloniki? how distanced is zakynthos from thessaloniki in km? since i know patra - kilini is 76 km, how distanced is thessaloniki - patra?

Does anyone know whether it is better to change from pounds to Euros on Zante or will the rates be better if we change the money before we leave the UK?

Does anybody know what the prices are like in Vasilikos?

I have seen postings saying between 20 and 200 euros for a meal, this seems preposterous. All i would like to know is what the going rate is for a meal not the very highest and lowest you will pay.

As a rough average does anyone know what a rough price for dinner for two would be with drinks/wine (not in a really pricey place - who would pay 200 euros for a meal - seriously?)

I would like to get an idea about the prices on Zakynthos. How much is a beer for instance? How much is a dinner?

Can anyone tell me where can i find cheep accomondation in Zante? Am looking for studios or some house rooms for rent?

We will go to this hotel in some weeks, but we did'nt find many reviews searching the web. So i wonder if anyone here has been to this hotel and could give me some information about all the experiences?

Has anyone ever been to this hotel in Kalamaki? We want to know what the nightlife is like, are there nice bars and restaurants in the area as our last holiday there was nothing to do at night time which got boring.
So we want this holiday to have nice bars to go to at night.

can you tell me if the sea is rough here in the summer ? My daughter had a terrible time in portugal as the sea was very very rough and she was terribly sea sick with the result that she now has a real fear of going on any boat trips! However, this is one that i would love to do.......

Has anyone been to zante at the beginnining of may. What was it like, was it hot did it rain? What about evenings does it get chilly?

I would like to know how much it costs to rent a moped or scooter for 6 days at zakynthos. I read somewhere it would be around 20 or 30€ a day, is that correct?
And how old must you be to rent one?

Hi we are going to Zante in early September and wonder whht day trips are available to the Greek mainland. I thought I heard that it was possible to go to the site of the original olympic games is this true and does anyone have any information on this?

is it possible to see the turtles on zante in september,where's the best place to see them

I know that June is when the turtles start to come ashore to lay their eggs, but we are going in May and taking out turtle-mad grandson, is there any chance of us seeing a turtle ?

also are there small boats that you can drive yourself available for hire on Zante ?
