What's the best way to travel from Milan to Sibenik? I was thinking of taking a train to Ancona, Italy then boarding an overnite ferry to Split? Or is there something direct into Sibenik? Thanks, KayLee

Varazdin how to get to varazdin
Posted: Sat May 3, 2008 11:57 AM UTC
Hi I'm trying to get to Varazdin from Pristina, Kosovo on 13 June for Radar Festival. Is anybody else going from Kosovo? Anyone have any advice about trains/busses either from Pristina or from Zagreb? I'm working w/ UN mission in Pristina for a short time and still haven't figured out how to get places from here - there don't seem to be many busses/trains.

Trakoscan Visiting Trakoscan
Posted: Tue September 11, 2007 03:22 PM UTC
Is it possible to do a daytrip to see both Varazdin and Trakoscan in 1 day? I will be staying in Zagreb, and I will not have a car. Would you recommend leaving for Varazdin early in the day, and seeing that town, and then heading to Trakoscan? Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Central Croatia Travel info about Plemenitas
Posted: Wed June 6, 2007 02:15 PM UTC
Hello,
I and my husband will be visiting Plemenitas for 10 days.
However we could not find any sufficient information on the web regarding Plemenitas, even it is not in some of the maps. I know that it is a small town, there will be an International Ceramic Raku Workshop there.

We will fly to Zagrep, but then how can we reach to Plemenitas?

Any kind of information will be appreciated.

Thank you very much...

Central Croatia Venice, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro
Posted: Thu March 15, 2007 08:27 AM UTC
I am a South African and living in Qatar. My wife and I are going on a boat cruise on M/S Arion from Koper to Zadar, Ploce, Korcula, Montenegro, Dubrovnik, Split, Pula and back to Koper, but I want to spent the first night in Venice and then start the next evening with this cruise. What will the best and cheapest way to travel so that I can still make it to Koper? I am not sure if it will be better to fly from Doha to Trieste or to Venice and return by same flight back to Qatar.

Central Croatia Split versus Dubrovnik
Posted: Thu February 8, 2007 01:48 PM UTC
We have three days flying into Zadar and we want to see "pretty, historical, architecture" in the area and are renting a car to drive around the area. We are planning to go to Split. The question is whether or not we have enough time to get to Dubrovnik as well and whether getting there is worthwhile in the short time we have or if we should stick to the Zadar and Split area and see more in and around there. This may be a once in a lifetime visit for us, so we don't want to miss anything that we MUST see, but at the same time we want to spend our time wisely. Please HELP!

Central Croatia Dubrovnik to Hvar
Posted: Thu February 1, 2007 09:21 AM UTC
Hello all

I hope you can help me. Myself and my boyfriend are staying in Dubrovnik for a week in August and then travelling to Hvar for a week.
I was advised that the best way to do this is get a bus to Markaska and then take a 10 minute boat trip to Hvar.
Is this correct? Would this be easy to do in high season?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Central Croatia need to chose one place to visit
Posted: Wed December 13, 2006 02:04 PM UTC
Greetings to everyone :)

I need to take difficult decision and to choose one place in central Croatia to visit at the evening. At the 1st of Jan at about 5-6 p.m. we (group of youth) are leaving from Zagreb in Hugarian direction, and for evening I want to take as to some nice city in Zagreb region.
Now I’m thinking between Karlovec and Virazdin… Virazdin is on our way to Hungary but we could make little circle and visit Karlowec, its looks just 50km from Zagreb. I understand that both city worth to be seen but perhaps you could recomend me something and make my decision easier :). Besides perhaps there is some third choice? Some other city or nice castles in radius 50 km from Zabreb will be interesting for us as well.

Looking for you advices :). Some useful links and photos are also welcomed :).

Thanks in forward

Central Croatia driving times between north and south
Posted: Sat September 30, 2006 05:03 PM UTC
My husband and I will be renting a car in Zagreb and driving down the coast between 10/10 and 10/17. Our return flight is out of Zagreb at 17:15 on 10/18.
How long will it take to drive from the Dubrovnik area back to Zagreb? would it make sense to break the drive up into two days and, if so, what route is best and where to stop for the night?
Thanks for the replies...........

Central Croatia 5 days in Dubrovnik!
Posted: Mon July 10, 2006 06:40 PM UTC
Hello,

Myself and my mother will be flying into and out from Dubrovnik mid August and I was hoping some of you lovely people might be able to answer some of my questions:

Guide books say booking accom in advance is crucial during Peak times whereas my Checz friend says it will be fine to wait until we get there? We have a hotel booked for the first night, will it be easy enough to get accom for the other nights when we arrive?

Also, how far is Plitvice National Park from Dubrovnik? As we will only be there for a short time we don't want to spend too much time travelling.

Can anyone advise on must do day trips?

Thats all, any help gratefully received!

Thanks in advance!
