Tunisia Barcelo Carthage hotel
Posted: Tue July 22, 2008 05:38 PM UTC
Hello everybody,

We are going to Tunisia early october and we would like to know how is the hotel called Barcelo Carthage. Is it good?? Any reviews?

Is it very far from other ''day trips'' that we could make? Do you know how is the approximate charge for day trips in Tunisian hotels right now?

Thank you soooo much! :)

Tunisia Anybody going to Tunisia in September to share a car rental?
Posted: Wed July 16, 2008 11:45 PM UTC
Going to Tunisia in September (2-19) and I want to share a car with someone who wants to go to Kef, Dougga, Sbeitla, Tozeur, Matmata, Tataouine (Ksar Ouldane) and Djerba. The rest of the days public transportation.

I just don't want to spend hours to reach those "remote" places.

(19 euros a car in camel car). That's cheap!

Hammamet Anybody traveling to Hammamet in June/July?
Posted: Wed June 18, 2008 10:34 AM UTC
Hi all!

Was just wondering if anyone is traveling to Hamemmet between the 25th of June and 9th of July? I'm due to go on the 25th and was originally supposed to be going with my girlfriend but we split up last week and now she doesn't want to go. So at such short notice the only choice i have is to go with a mate and i just wanted to see if anybody else around our age (24) will be out there to meet so were not bored, on what seems to be a predominately 'couples' holiday.

Hammamet Dress Code in Tunisia
Posted: Mon June 16, 2008 06:54 PM UTC
Hey there! I'm travelling to Hammamet, Tunisia for the first time this year with my boyfriend; we're both 27. Just wondering what to pack, clothes-wise? For example, I have a pair of mid-thigh shorts that I like to wear with a long strappy top for evenings out with heels, does this sound too revealing (ie to go to the discos and bars)? Do tourists tend to cover up in Hammamet by wearing long skirts and trousers all the time, or can we be fairly relaxed? I don't like to wear midriff revealing tops or miniskirts. I just want to ensure that we don't disrespect the local culture or draw too much attention. Is it perfectly normal to wear bikinis on the beach and around the pool? And I hear my boyfriend needs to pack a pair of trousers for restaurants, do I also need to cover my legs? I hope there is someone who knows the evening scene in Hammamet who can advise! Thanks in advance...Jennifer :)

Tunisia Visiting sites near Hammamet on day trips
Posted: Thu June 12, 2008 01:03 PM UTC
Hi all
I'm going to Hammamet in 2 weeks with my boyfriend, our first time to Tunisia. We're mainly after a relaxing beach holiday but would also love to see some sites if possible.
Is it possible to visit Cartage, Tunis etc. on day trips and what are the best ways of getting there? Would I need to book tours before we fly or are there tourist coaches from Hammamet to various sites?
We'll be staying at Diar Lemdina Hotel - can anyone recommend any sites, activities near there, we're 28 and 34 yrs old.
Many thanks for your help!

Tunisia Homestay/Apartment
Posted: Sat May 24, 2008 03:11 AM UTC
Salaam wa Aleikum and hello to all:
I will be returning to Tunis for six weeks this summer to study Arabic. I am looking for a place to stay, preferably a home stay or with a Tunisian family. Also open to an apartment or anything. Any native Tunisians out there with any ideas or open homes? Others with suggestions? I am very flexible and speak nearly fluent Arabic (fusHa)? Thanks for your help.

Last time I was in Tunisia (1999) I was bitten very badly by mosquitos, so much so that I had an allergic reaction to them. I am going again on 1st June and wonder if anyone has any magic answers to this problem - or will Tunisia be mosquito free in June?

Hi,
We're going to Tunsia (port El Kantaoui)for 2 weeks in September and are planning on taking some excursions/day trips while we're there. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on whether to book before we leave or wait until we get there - is there any difference in price? - where would we book from? (we've not booked our trip through a travel agent) - what's on offer/worthwhile doing? e.t.c.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
