Is there a direct bus from Cesky Krumlov to Salzburg? Does a bus drive through Hallstatt on the way to Salzburg?? We will be staying in Cesky Krumlov and would like to avoid backtracking on trains. Thank you for your help.

I will be going from Vienna to Prague. I hope to break my journey at Cesky Krumlov. Should one spend a day here and then proceed to Prague on the same day? or stay over and then go ahead? And if one does stay only ffor a day, what all can one do?

I can't bus company operating the route from Krumlov to Budapest. The train seems does not have direct route. Would anyone kindly advise what is a convenient way to travel between the two places? is overnight transportation available? Thanks a lot.

I will be travelling to Cesky Krumlov in May. I have 3 nights of accommodation booked. Is that too much? What is there to do in CK?

I'm actually only spending two nights in Vienna right before and I'm considering switching it around. Spending 3 nights in Vienna and 2 in CK.

Hi, we will be in Budapest until March 27, and looking for a good way to get to Cesky Krumlov (from Budapest) before we venture onto Prague.

Does anyone haveany suggestions for a quick and easy route from Budapest to Cesky Krumlov? Please let me know when you can, thanks!

I am going to Cesky Krumlov in June 08. Accommodations seem a little high. Can anyone suggest apartments, pensiones, B&B or hostels which are well located and reasonable. Alos, any tips are welcome.

whats the best way to get to salzburg? Do they have trains that go from CK to linz?

We fly into Vienna, and hope to see the above cities. Starting and ending in Vienna, is there a logical sequence in terms of public transportation/easiest travel for Prague, Cesky Krumlov and Budapest?sf

I have read some suggestion to take a international bus at Krumlov to Lizn or directly to Wien, but I am wondering if it is in service at 1st January 2008?

i read in a lonely planet guidethat in the summer it is a middle european theme park.how accurate is this??? i dont wanna go to stay in prague cause i heard that in the summer its big on stag and hen parties. is this the same for cesky krumlov???

Hi! We are planning to go from Vienna to Prague and would like to stop at Cesky Krumlov on the way. We were thinking the easiest way would be to hire a private car/guide. Has anyone done this?

I'm planning a trip to Vienna and Prague for this summer, and am trying to add Cesky Krumlov to our itinerary. I've only got about 6 days to do it all...and I've been to Prague and Vienna so I know what to expect there. But....how much time is a good amount of time to spend in Cesky Krumlov? Also, what is the best way to get from Vienna to CK? Am I right to think that the best travel route would be Wien to CK to Prague?

Can someone refer me to a site that provides clear information in English about train destinations and schedules in the Czech Republic and Hungary. We want to get first from Prague to Cesky Krumlov, then continue by train 2 days later to Budapest. I have been able to find information about buses (which we cannot manage) but nothing about trains. Ease of travel is more important to us than cost. Many thanks.

The car rental agency I'm going through (renting in Austria) wants to charge me a bunch of $$ for theft insurance just for driving into the Czech Republic. I plan on spending one night in Cesky Krumlov, and should have parking near my accomodations (Pension Anna). Is car theft/break in a big deal in Cesky Krumlov, or just the bigger cities? I'll just have a little economy car. Any tips for not being a target if it is a problem?
