Hello,

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to get to and from Starigrad to Hvar Town, especially at night. As previous post states, am going in mid Sept and so will probably be visiting Hvar Town at night to search for some nightlife.
How easy is it to get around the island generally by bus?

I am planning a trip with a friend to Hvar (based in Starigrad) from 17th September. I am anticipating that it will be quieter as out of season, but will there still be things to do, bars and restaurants open etc. And how easy is it to get to hvar town?

We arrive at Split airport at saturday 28. june, 18.00ish. Destination Hvar Grad. I've looked around and found that the last ferry to Hvar (Stari Grad) leaves at 20.30. Are there any other catamarans going to Hvar Grad any later than the one that leaves at 18.00? And if the ferry is the only solution, is it recomended/necesary to book tickets before we get there? Were not bringing a car.

Hi, we would like to make one day trip from Split to Hvar island. But as i looked to Jadrolinija ferry schedule, there are mainly ferries from Split in evening, and back to Split in morning. Is there any ferries in early morning from split, and what is the latest one from any town of Hvar island to Split. Thanks

How do I get from Hvar to Dubrovnik? I've checked Jadrolinija.hr but it says they do not have a connection for that route - I also tried putting in from Stari Grad, as well.

Also, I'd like to see Korcula - is this best seen on the way (and if so, what transportation), or should I make a day trip from either my hotel in Hvar or my hotel in Dubrovnik?

I am traveling from Split to Dubrovnick over the course of 8 days, spending two days to start in Split. Is there a website for the ferry times/prices. Do they need to be booked in advance? And finally, what is your suggested itinerary for my route? I received some advice to leave three days for Dubrovnick as a hub to then explore from there... so that leave 3 days to get from Split to Dubrovnick. Suggestions?

(Also, I am flying to Zagreb to spend one day there before flying home, so if anyone has suggestions on a 1 day itinerary for Zagreb, that would be great, as well).

Our flight is early at 7.05am.

We will be driving up from Dubrovnik to the Split Airport. Since our flight is later in the day, we were thinking of taking a quick detour to Trogir before turning in our rental car at the airport. Even though the airport is close, I am sure that traffic and parking outside the city might be an issue.

I don't know how much time we will have but the city looks small. Is it worth taking a few hours to explore? And, what would be the "don't miss" sites considering the limited time we will have?

we are cruising on Legends of The Sea and will be in Split for 1 day. Any suggestions on "must see".We will be in Split early July 2008.
Should we take a tour or explore on our own?

i am traveling into Split from Budapest. In terms of cost and time it seems bus or train will be best. How early in advance do i need to buy/reserve a ticket.

And leaving croatia my immediate end destination is London, Gatwick airport. I'm looking for the cheapest way to get there. A direct flight out of Split seems to run Between $250-350 US, or i could ferry to Ancona and then fly from there to London for a cheaper fare total.

I need more info on ferry departure and arrival times, exact fare costs, and how to book/reserve a seat. I need to be in London to fly out the afternoon of July 12th.

any info or advice from anyone who's familiar with this route it would be much apperciated, or any other itinerary suggestions thatwould be helpful!

Hello, I am wondering if it will be easy to travel between these above places, are buses/trains readily available? Was hoping to leave from Kotor then into Bosnia (dont mind which city I do first) ending in split. Any ideas? thanks.

We wnnt to take car ferry to from Split to Hvar on Sept 1st Monday and then on Sept 4th go with car from Sucuraj to Drvenik. I cannot find it on the ferry schedule - is this possible and roughly what will cost be. i think I should book it ahead. Thanks so much

We have booked a Hotel in Split over 16th July to 19th July but they don't have any good parking. We have a rental car which we need to park somewhere. Has anyone got experience with this and have you any suggestions for secure parking?

I am traveling with my family, which included 3 sons (13, 12 & 9), my parents and my husband. We are taking a Royal Caribbean Cruise, but we would like to spend a day on the beach. I have noticed some people are recommending Bacvice beach, could you please tell me how far it is from the cruise ship port and if we could get to the beach easily on our own? We are going on a small boat cruise in the Adriatic leaving from Split. We will arrive two days earlier, on the 26th June. Have been looking on the forum and have narrowed the choice down to Adriana Hotel - Riva by the sea which seems to be a very good position, or the Hotel Park which is more expensive.
Can anyone advise me? Perhaps you may have some suggestions? We do not wish to spend more than 120 Eu per night - unless it is extra special.

Hi, I live in Istanbul and need to get to Split to meet a friend in mid-May. I'm a student so it's too expensive to fly and I was thinking of taking a train. I went in January and took a bus from Sarajevo, but unfortunately this time I don't have time to do that, I just need the quickest route. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi are there daily ferry connections between Korcula and Hvar and Hvar Korcula in the high season or is it only once or twice a week?
