From Ancona to Zadar - roundtrip Posted: Sun July 6, 2008 04:27 AM UTC
What is the recommended ferry line to zadar? Preferably the cheapest.I can only find jardinilia and their schedule is very limited (only 1-2 day). And is it advisable to book everything online or I can book when I get there?

Getting to Zadar by bus from Split - need to book? Posted: Wed June 11, 2008 05:26 PM UTC
Hi,
I am going to the Garden festival in Petercane (just outside Zadar), and am travelling up from Split after spending some time on Hvar.
My question is can I just turn up at Split airport and jump on a public bus, or will I need to have booked in advance due to the time of year(i.e early july)
Finally, if anyone knows roughly how much the bus costs that would be really appreciated too!
Any advice very is very appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe

Female traveling on her own... is it safe? Posted: Fri May 16, 2008 03:02 PM UTC
I'd like to visit Crotia traveling from the northern coast down to Dubrovnik over the course of 1 week. Is it safe for a female traveling on her own? Also, are the hostel options? I'm looking to budget travel.
Last ques, are there any bike tours (single day) or one week along the coast that offer budget pricing/accommodations?
Many thanks!!!

Where to stay for 1 night before going to the islands? Posted: Sun February 24, 2008 07:09 PM UTC
Hi,
We land in Zadar about 20.30 on a Saturday night in August. The following day we will get the ferry to Dugi Otok but we'd like to see something of the mainland while we have the opportunity.
Do you think we should stay in Zadar that night, or is there somewhere else within reasonable driving distance that is more interesting?
Thanks

general question Posted: Tue September 4, 2007 06:49 PM UTC
this is just a general question, I hope I am not wasting anyones time by being non-specific. I have very recently booked flights departing (very soon) for Zadar. I am arriving on a saturday night and leaving a week later. I have a vague plan involving going to the korkula islands and duprovnik. Is it possible to cover this distance and still have some time for relaxation? I have noticed the ferries are very irregular and I have heard the bus is the way to go. cheers

Zadar to Primosten Posted: Sun July 15, 2007 03:42 PM UTC
Does anybody know the best way to get from Zadar airport to Primosten? My flight gets in at 20.35 on a Monday. Do the buses travel that late, and do they stop in Primosten (I presume on the way to Split)?

Plitvice lakes national park Posted: Wed May 30, 2007 07:20 PM UTC
Hi there
We are travelling from Zagreb down to Zadar and would like to stop over at the Plitvice lakes as it looks amazing. My concern is what is travel like into and around the national park? Would we have to hire a car for this as public transport does not seem like it goes through the park - am I right in saying this?
Any help would be much appreciated and I can try help out anyone wanting to travel to South Africa or England.
Many thanks in advance - just a friendly tip would be good and perhaps suggestion as to where to stay in the park?
THANK YOU

Zadar - Split - Hvar - Split Posted: Sat May 12, 2007 05:43 PM UTC
Hi there! =)
I have booked flights for my partner, her parents and myself arriving late in the evening on 16th July (approx) 20:30 and flying out from Split v.late in the evening on the 23rd of July. We will have a large family hire car and plan to do the following, roughly;
* Find a room for 1 night in Zadar (Driving straight from the Airport)
Do we need to spend some time around this area sight-seeing?
* 17th July (Morning) Drive 'along coastal roads' opposed to the 4 lane highway to Split and check into potentially 'Peristil' hotel 2 nights'. Do sight-seeing through Split.
* 19th July (Afternoon) Take car on Ferry from Split to Hvar - relax on beaches, stay somewhere up on a hill with a view over Hvar island and the ocean.
* 23rd July (Final day) Try and take a different route off Hvar back to Split and pretty much drive back to the Airport in Split and drop off the car there and fly home.
ANY and All feedback, suggestions, changes would be appreciated and carefully listened to,
Basic accomodation in good spots most of our time is desired here. Accommodation Tips are needed?
Thankyou,
Carl Brooks
