Need help arranging an ambulance Posted: Wed August 5, 2009 02:37 PM UTC
Hello Zadar,
I am trying to arrange an ambulance to transport a family member from Zadar to Zagreb. Can anyone help me that might be local, that could at least make a call to a local ambulance service to see if this can be done and what the cost would be? Any help would be appreciated as we dont know where to turn.

Transport from Zadar Airport to city centre/Nightlife/Beach/Islands Posted: Tue July 21, 2009 05:05 PM UTC
Can anyone confirm where the bus terminal is in Zadar city that the airport bus arrives at?
Can you recommend a cheap taxi service and how much we should expect to pay.
we are staying in the heart of the city and tryiong to decide if taxi or bus serves us best!
Staying for 2nights each at the beginning and end of our travels, what would be the best night out for 2 x females?
Where is the best beach to hang out (don't mind travelling)? Is there a nearby island that would be better for a day of sunbathing and relaxation?
Lots of questions :-)
We are also travelling to Split and Hvar so any recommendations for any of the destinations would be most welcome.

Day trips Posted: Sun July 19, 2009 04:25 PM UTC
Hello all,
I have just booked a week in Zadar in late september.
Was wondering if anyone could give me any tips on day trips? I have already been to Split and Dubrovnik so im not too worried about seeing them again, but are there any other towns and places nearby worth seeing?
I will almost certainly seeing both krka waterfalls and visiting the islands.
Many thanks

getting to split Posted: Fri July 3, 2009 11:25 PM UTC
hi we arrive at 9.30 in the evening and the car we had hired fell through.
now I can't find any cars for less than 800@euro for 2 weeks.
how much would it cost to get a taxi to split? how long woulod it take cos we were hoping to get the ferry to split at 23.59;
I think it is going to be too much to get a taxi and no joy to get a car so we should spend the night in zadar and get a bus the next day - I believe bus is better for zadar split than train...
any advice welcome - where to hire a car, place to stay near zadar, how to get to split etc
cheers

Zadar - Korcula Posted: Sun June 28, 2009 03:46 PM UTC
Hello VTs,
Will be arriving in Zadar next month and have a couple of questions.
We're flying in and arrive around 9pm. If we take a bus to the centre at that time should be still be ok to get a private room in the old town? Hoping to get something for around 300KN for the night.
Also, we're looking to go from Zadar to Korcula - is there a ferry that goes between the two or will we have to change in Split?
Will be grateful for any help.
Harry, Glasgow.

Looking in internet I found Diklo as a good place, any other suggestions? What about the coast from Zadar to Sibenik?
If you have any suggestion they are welcome.
Last but not least, is it possible to rent scooter/motorbike in Zadar? How much shall it cost, roughtly? Is better to rend it in advice?
Thanks for all your informations

Zadar-Knin-Sibenik Posted: Fri May 29, 2009 05:13 PM UTC
Hi,
A couple of mates and I are travelling to Croatia this summer.
The goal off our trip, is to enjoy nature and make fun. After landing in Zadar, we would take the train to Knin, from there on we would like to backpack through
the krka national park in the direction of sibenik. I was wondering if there is a camping or something in the park, because it seems impossible to cross it in one day?
second question: Are there walking routes along the coast between Sibenik and Zadar?

Also what's the nightlife like? What clubs/pubs should we avoid?
Any help would be appreciated.

Zadar nightlife in May Posted: Wed February 18, 2009 10:54 PM UTC
Hello all,
I am planning a trip to Zadar with friends at the end of May, we are hoping to see the sights during the day and party at night.
How is the night-life in Zadar at the end of May and also how is it during the week?
We will probably be flying to Zadar on Wednesday and returning on the Saturday.
Is there lots to do in the evening during the week?
Thanks a lot for any info.

Bikes on buses Posted: Tue August 26, 2008 10:28 PM UTC
Hey there I am hoping to travel from Pula to Dubrovnik by bike in 12 days or so and was banking on getting a ferry from Zadar to Split, and these don't seem to exist anymore. Does anyone know if it is possible to transport bikes on public buses in Croatia?
Cheers

Getting to Zadar by bus from Split - need to book? Posted: Wed June 11, 2008 06:26 PM UTC
Hi,
I am going to the Garden festival in Petercane (just outside Zadar), and am travelling up from Split after spending some time on Hvar.
My question is can I just turn up at Split airport and jump on a public bus, or will I need to have booked in advance due to the time of year(i.e early july)
Finally, if anyone knows roughly how much the bus costs that would be really appreciated too!
Any advice very is very appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe

Female traveling on her own... is it safe? Posted: Fri May 16, 2008 04:02 PM UTC
I'd like to visit Crotia traveling from the northern coast down to Dubrovnik over the course of 1 week. Is it safe for a female traveling on her own? Also, are the hostel options? I'm looking to budget travel.
Last ques, are there any bike tours (single day) or one week along the coast that offer budget pricing/accommodations?
Many thanks!!!

Where to stay for 1 night before going to the islands? Posted: Sun February 24, 2008 08:09 PM UTC
Hi,
We land in Zadar about 20.30 on a Saturday night in August. The following day we will get the ferry to Dugi Otok but we'd like to see something of the mainland while we have the opportunity.
Do you think we should stay in Zadar that night, or is there somewhere else within reasonable driving distance that is more interesting?
Thanks

general question Posted: Tue September 4, 2007 07:49 PM UTC
this is just a general question, I hope I am not wasting anyones time by being non-specific. I have very recently booked flights departing (very soon) for Zadar. I am arriving on a saturday night and leaving a week later. I have a vague plan involving going to the korkula islands and duprovnik. Is it possible to cover this distance and still have some time for relaxation? I have noticed the ferries are very irregular and I have heard the bus is the way to go. cheers
