We are very excited about our 1st trip to Cyprus - Ayia Napa. We're looking forward to the beach and nightlife, but we are also interested in culture. We want to go to Nicosia, but there seems to have one bus per day only. If I got it right it departs from Napa at 8H00. Should arrive to Nicosia at 9h30? and then the bus back is at 15h00. Is it possible to have an idea of Nicosia highlights in about 5 hrs? Or it would be necessary to take a company tour one-day Nicosia. In the later case at what time do those tours return to Napa? I'm trying to see if its worthy or not the price difference.

Since January 2008 Euro is the official currency, but on websites I still see prices in British pounds and what is most, those prices in £ are much cheaper than Euros given the current exchange rate. For instance Bus return fare Napa Nicosia is priced 12 Euros Vs 7.02 Pounds, making it much cheaper if you pay in pounds.

I'm from an Euro country, should I get pounds to get better deals?

i just got home from a weeks holiday on the 31st may 2008. the place was full of scandinavians and eastern europeans but brits were very scarce compared to when i was there for the same week 2 years ago. i take it to be because of this so called credit crunch and the weak pound against the strong euro. has anyone else noticed this?

We are heading over in the middle of august, but are only in cyprus during the week. Is this fabulous night life during the week or just weekends?? Also wondering about drink prices, entry prices etc. Im also after some good/cheap shopping can anyone suggest anything??

Just wondering can anyone help me, is it possible to fly direct from Dublin to Larnaca on sundays, talkin early june....I went last year on budget travel sat to sat but might have a game on the sat this year so hopin to be able to fly direct out on the sunday....even if anyone cud tell me can u even fly direct to larnaca without package holidays

Me and mi mate are goin to ayia napa for 2 weeks on the 13 of july this year but were only 16, its gna be a celebration cos of finishin skul and our gcses we have already booked and sooo ecxited but wanted to no how easy it was to get into clubs? and about the spikin of drinks ova there, is it that bad? any otha comments welcome, get back 2 me thanks. xxlelooxx

I went to cyprus this year but stayed in Protaras and went to ayia once on a bar crawl and it was really lively!!!! There is only going to be two of us aswell and we are looking for a good time with lots of partying involved!!!! We are also staying in the Takkas hotel.....and would like to know if anyone has stayed there before and how they rate it.

going to ayianapa 16 spetember for the first time anyone will be going in the same date? it will still be good for parting

i am 15 and me and a few mates are thinking of heading to ayia napa for my 16th birthday i do look older than what i am but is there any point in me going? will i be able to get alcohol and get into the clubs?

im getting married in ayia napa town hall in may 08 and im really nervous, we're staying in thalaskii holiday village i was just wondering are we near by everything and how far are we actually from the townhall?
I would value anyones advice or suggestions am terrified that i'll be disappointed
