My Fiance and I are visiting Limassol on the 14th August for 2 weeks. We have not yet been to Cyprus and wonder if anyone can give us a few tips or hints of what to see or do.

I am holidaying in Paphos and I want to visit the Jumbo toyshop in Limmasol. Can anyone give me directions please?

Does anyone know if there is a ferry-boat from Limassol to Lebanon or Syria.
I know it's possible to go to Lebanon and Syria on a cruise, but I would prefer a ferry-boat (or something similar) in order to be free once on the ground.

Can anybody tell me what the public transport (buses) is like in Limassol. We are planning on seeing most of the Island but apart from when we go to the mountains we don't want to hire a car. We are going to visit Paphos, Coral Bay, Nicosia, Kourion and maybe Ayia Napa. Does anybody know of a good website with times etc or where I could get hold of any infomation.

Also we are staying at the Valana Apartments, has anybody stayed there before, if so what did you think.

Hey, well i need to find some karaoke bars in limassol that might be willing to do a charity karaoke in aid of a little girl called Lucy Louca (her website- www.LucyLouca.org ) She has Autism and needs special theropy. We have been doing charity karaoke's in the larnaca area and have some planned for the east side of the island as well. we are hoping to go island wide with this. Can someone advise us on where I can find half day excursions from Limassol. How far is the port from the city centre. Are there buses to the city centre. Thanks for the advice and information.

Has anybody ever gone to Egypt from Cyprus either by air or sea. We are going next year and want to know how long to allow for the trip. We want to see as much as possible.

The family are attending a wedding in Limassol in October. Unfortunately families are split between the Hotel Atlantica and the Castle Apartments. Does anybody know exactly how far these are apart, and possibly know of a map which shows the two hotels?

I'm going to stay in Limassol in May 04 and I wanted to ask if anyone knoes what is the best way to get from Larnaca to Limassol?

My late first husband and I used to live in Limassol. This was between November 1960 and September 1962. Our elder daughter was born in the RAF Hospital at Akrotiri.

We lived in Meletiou, Metropolitou Kitiou street.

Does anyone know where this is? Is it possible to get a street map showing residential streets - obviously it's not shown on a tourist map.
