Hi, we will travel from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik then to Montenegro next week by rental car.
We surely want to see Hvar and Korcula.
What itinerary would you suggest? Go first to Dubrovnik and leave the car there and use catamaran? or take the car and use ferries?
Is there any other way to go to the islands coming from Sarajevo?

Hi am very confused!

I'm looking to travel from Split to Hvar on 28th September ideally returning on 1st October. Ideally I'd like to go directly to Dubrovnik (on ferry) on 1st but I don't think I can do that. The ferry website has really confused me. There doesn't seem to be any Ferry's on 1st october to split?

Can anyone help?

I am headed to croatia in early sept and trying to find a day trip to the blue cave and vis island but cant find anything online. Any suggestions would be great. Is it possible to get a glimpse of both in a day?

I would like to travel to Hvar in august by car and I have heard that there is much cheaper ferry from Makarska. Does any one have an advice which ferry is best and cheapest.

We are off to ciovo in august and wondered how frequent the ferries are from Split to hvar for a day trip. Is it best to take the car or go as a foot passenger. Any particular ferry to use ? thanks a lot Anne and Gav, Dundee

My boyfriend and I are in Croatia in early September and we would like to spend 7 nights on Hvar and also maybe Brac or another island.

We are in our 30s, we love nature, the sea, snorkelling, and eating out. We're thinking Hvar town sounds a bit too "party" for us (we don't want a holiday centered on clubs, yachts and cocktails) but we'd like somewhere that is beautiful, interesting and has at least 2 or 3 restaurants and shops (ie minimarkets). We will be hiring a car to explore the rest of the island. (We stayed in Sali on Dugi Otok last year and we loved it, to give you an idea of our kind of place.) Zavala looks like it could be the place but I'm wondering if it is too sleepy?

Also wondering whether we should spend half the week Hvar and half the week on Brac, or somewhere else like Vis. Really want to see Brac but we would have to get the car ferry back to Split then to Brac again and we want to have a nice relaxing week. If we took a day trip on the catamaran from Hvar to Brac is it easy to get around without a car? And where on Brac would you suggest heading for (quite fancy Zlatni Rat but I bet it's v touristy?)

I know I have asked a lot of questions here but I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions you can give.

I am planning on booking the ferry from Stari Grad to Dubrovnik which leaves early on the Saturday morning, however would like to stay in Hvar Town, so need to be able to travel from Hvar Town to Stari Grad early in the morning.

Does anybody know when the earliest bus from Hvar Town to Stari Grad is? Or how much a taxi would cost as another possible option?

I was wondering if anyone can help me with the timetable from split to hvar town on 5 Jun09? I am arriving at 0700 hrs so was hoping to get to hvar soon.
Also, unfortunately I need to head back to split after only 1 day in hvar, what is the earliest ferry from hvar town or any other port so that I may be back in split by 8am? =)

I fly into Dubrovnik on Friday night and need to get to Hvar sometime Saturday. I am finding the ferry schedules quite confusing. What are my options this Saturday (excluding driving)?

We are travelling to Hvar Town on Saturday 27 June 2009 and arrive at Split Airport at 19.30pm. Does anyone know if there is a ferry across to either Hvar Town or Starigrad Ports? Also does anyone know if, once on the island of Hvar late at night there is a shuttle bus from Starigrad to Hvar Town? Thank you for your help.

I've been trying to find information about buses from Hvar Town to Stari Grad and Jelsa (and back), but cannot find a timetable anywhere online. Does anyone know or can anyone please post bus times or provide a link to the appropriate website? We will be there in September if that helps.

Hello - my husband & I are currently on the island of Hvar (in Hvar town) and our clothes desperately need a wash. The only self-serve laundromat (by the public toilets on the main town square) are outrageously expensive ($14 per load, if you can believe it).

Does anyone know of another, more reasonable laundromat I might go to? I can't imagine paying almost $45 to do 3 tiny loads of laundry.

We are traveling on the 25th of August from Amsterdam via Zagreb to Split. We arrive in Split at 15:25 o'clock. Perhaps some can suggest a transfer from the airport to Split and then further to Hvar Town.

On the return journey on the 13th of September our flight leaves from Split Airport 12:05 o'clock.

I am interested in a transfer with Suncani. I heard there was a mini-bus service to the port and then with a catamaran to Hvar.

Could anyone give me information or advice on this.

and pick us up to Split at 20:00
In the meantime we want to make a quickly visit to Stari Grad and Hvar(about 1 hour each one)
We need to organize the bus transportation options to be on time at the end leaving Stari Grad to Split at 20:00
Please, could you send or describe a bus timetable between both cities of Stari Grad and Hvar.

Can anyone tell me how easy it is to get to and from Starigrad to Hvar Town, especially at night. As previous post states, am going in mid Sept and so will probably be visiting Hvar Town at night to search for some nightlife.
How easy is it to get around the island generally by bus?

How do I get from Hvar to Dubrovnik? I've checked Jadrolinija.hr but it says they do not have a connection for that route - I also tried putting in from Stari Grad, as well.

Also, I'd like to see Korcula - is this best seen on the way (and if so, what transportation), or should I make a day trip from either my hotel in Hvar or my hotel in Dubrovnik?

I am traveling to Hvar, Croatia during the first week of August and trying to decide on a hotel. I typically prefer higher end hotels. I think I have narrowed down my choices between the Riva and Amfora properties both of which have had recent renovations. Has anyone stayed at either since the renovations and would you make a recommendation?

I would like to buy some hvar coffee cups and saucers. Do you have any? Thanks

planning to take the ferry next Sun the 17th Split to Stari Grad 5am arriving 6:45am, checked the local bus schedule, looks like there are only 2 buses a day (on Sun) going to Hvar (w/the 1st one leaving at 11:30 am)

how easy is it to rent a scooter? are they close by the SG ferry terminal? or is it better to get a taxi? (just planning to spend the day in Hvar town ...taking the 5pm ferry back to Split from SG)

What is the quickest way to get from Dubrovinik to Hvar?

We will be staying on Hvar in September and would like to spend the last few days of our holiday on another island before returning to Split.

The day we would leave Hvar is Tuesday 18 September or maybe the day after.

What options are there to get to Vis?

Or, what would be the easiest way to get to Brac (without a 6am ferry!)

Can anyone please tell me the cost to transport a car from split to hvar? As well, is a car useful in hvar?

My girlfriend and i are planning to arrive into Stari grad on the last sunday ferry from split. The ferry is scheduled to arrive at around 10.30pm and i would like to know if it is going to be possible to get to Hvar town at that time on a sunday night?

Will there be a bus at that time or taxis available? Or alternatively do we need to book one night's hotel in stari grad and move to hvar town the next morning?

I want to be in HVAR around june 07. now that Croatia is a E.E.C member will prices be in Euros? and every thing more expensive?. the exchange rate for aussy dollars means our dollar is only worth half a euro. what will that buy? half a cup of coffee? rooms seem to be around 15 euros a night.what about food and drinks?
