Hi, I have a group of 14 people and we are trying to get from Triest, Italy to Porec, Croatia and we were wondering if anyone had any advice for us? Is there any specific bus we take? And if so would you happen to know the cost? Thank you.

hi......... my wife and I are visiting Porec in June. We are staying at the hotel Neptun, does anyone have any info on this hotel, also I'm told there are no beaches there but you can take a boat to nearby beaches, any info on that.

My husband and I are thinking on booking a holiday to porec in early june and would like to know what temperature is average for this time of year please?

Could you please advise times of buses and ferries if applicable from Porec to Rovinj and Porec to Pula in late October.

My husband and I are going to Porec for 10 days beginning of Sept. and wondered if anyone has been there at this time and what the weather generally is like. Do we need warm clothing or is it mixed ? We never get it right wherever we go, so would like to hear from anyone who has also visited at this time of the year to give us a rough idea.

Also we like to get around by local transport, so are the buses ad trains quite good for seeing the country and do they travel far afield ? Thanks to anyone who may have the answers.

Will be arriving at Pula airport about 9.00pm in the evening. Are there taxis available and could anyone tell me approximately how much this might be. Alternatively, how often and how late do the buses run from Pula to Porec.

I am having difficulty getting a bus schedule from Trieste to Porec. We will be arriving in Trieste on Saturday the 31st of May. Does anyone know the schedule ,fares etc. Or which bus line we would use?

Coming to Porec at the end of June for 7 days and looking to find out about local prices.
How much for a 3 course meal thats not cheap or too fancy?
How much for a bottle of local wine with dinner,and what about the average prices of beer and spirits?
Also,is there an area to avoid for expensive prices eg the harbour area or the old town?
AND ARE EUROS ACCCEPTED IN RESTAURANTS OR SHOPS ETC

After the great response to my previous post i thought i would try another query.

We will be landing on Pula Airport on a Sunday night (9.00pm approx) and i was wondering if the best way to get to Porec is by Taxi?

ALso, ariving at that time i dont know if i can get some local currency to pay for this. Can i use Euros.

I'm staying in Rovinj in late May. I cannot turn in my National car rental in Rovinj, so I'm turning it in at Porec and taking the bus from Porec to Trieste. I'm turning the car in at the "National Car Rental Downtown Office, Pulska 1." How far is that from the bus station. I plan to take the 07:40 bus departure (or maybe that's the departure time from Rovinj) on Monday, 28 May. Please tell me the arrival time in Trieste. Is the bus station in Trieste near the train station? I will take a train that departs at 10:47. Many thanks for the help.

(1) Do buses run to Rovinj on Sunday?
(2) or if I needed to take a taxi, how much would that cost?

My wife and i are returning to Porec for the first time, 25 years after we spent our honeymoon there. We are even going back to the same hotel (Hotel Pical).

I am looking to organise some special excursions, restaurants, nights out etc without my wife’s knowledge, for the week we are there (July 2007 with our anniversary on the 10th).

We fondly remember our day trip to Venice so we are looking forward to having a bit of time there.

Any old romantics out there with any ideas/suggestions

How easy is it to travel around by public transport from Porec? We are thinking of going on Tuesday for 2 weeks but are not sure if there are places of interest close by. Any suggestions would be helpful.
