Pula Travelling Pula to Split and back up
Posted: Tue July 7, 2009 02:58 PM UTC
Hi

in a couple of week sI am taking my family with three kids to Pula to see a freind and then we have arranged to get a car down to Split in a day in order to get on a boat and do some islands. Does anyone know the best and cheapest way of going back from Split (or possibly Zadar) to Pula bearing in mind we have three kids with us aged 10,11 and 15. The car hire is much more expensive going up and I've already booked it coming down! We have two days to get there, leaving either on a Sunday pm or travelling on the Monday. I believe there might be a ferry but does anyone know what kind of cost is involved? Thanks

Pula Day Trips from Pula
Posted: Tue June 16, 2009 01:12 PM UTC
I am organizing a trip for a group of people from Russia next summer. I want to know if it possible to travel to Venice for the day for Russian citizens if they do not have a Visa to Italy. Can a visa for the day be purchased or does this need to be arranged with local embassies in Russia before our trip. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi everyone!

I'm going to Pula next August, and the question, is: If I don't find accommodation in the historic centre, which area do you recommend me? Obvioulsy, easy to get to the centre either in my car or with public transportation. And, any recommendations regarding hotel/hostel?

Thanks!

Pula Day Trip Excursions from pula
Posted: Sun May 31, 2009 10:53 AM UTC
Does anyone have information about organised day trip excusions from Pula? A trip to Venice seems possible, but I would also like info about a day in Trieste, cruise around the islands or to one of the national parks. I appreciate that there is only so much that can be done on a day trip and I can see little point in spending hours on a tour bus and only a little time at a destination.
Any mini-reviews from people who have done such things would be very welcome.
Thanks

Pula Pula to Belgrade by bus on Monday 18.05.2009
Posted: Mon May 11, 2009 06:44 PM UTC
Dear all
Could anyone help me with following question:
akz.hr shows that there is a bus from Pula to Belgrade every day operated by Lasta, but the Lasta website says there is only a busconnection on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Who know what is correct?
Otherwise will the best alternative be via Zagreb?

Thanks & best regards.

Pula Bus from Pula to Rovinj
Posted: Wed April 8, 2009 07:40 PM UTC
We will be on a cruise in May stopping in Pula for the day (May 13). Our ship will anchor and we will come into the port by tender. How far is it to the Bus Station to get a bus to Rovinj? Is it walking distance? How often do Buses go between Pula & Rovinj and what is the approximate fare?

Pula Zagreb to Pula on a Sunday
Posted: Sun March 22, 2009 09:25 AM UTC
Hello,
I was wondering if someone could advise whether there are bus or train services to Pula from Zagreb on a Sunday? I have heard it is better to take the bus. If travel on a Sunday is possible, how often do the buses travel? Is there a timetable I can view?
Thank you.

Pula Best Beaches and Accomodation
Posted: Sun July 27, 2008 04:40 PM UTC
Hi

I am travelling to Pula at the beginning of August by myself. Is it easy at this time to find reasonable private accommodation - not hostels, I snore to loud to be in a dorm.

Also, where are the best beaches to relax with decent restaurants nearby.

Not looking for serious night life - I'm a bit past that.

Pula Bike hire
Posted: Wed May 14, 2008 11:14 AM UTC
Hi, I’m flying in to Pula for one week – late May. I’m planning to hire a mountainbike and travel around for my week – a night here a night there – that sort of thing. Most hire centres appear to be Hotels (which I may not be staying at). My question.
Can I hire a mountain bike from (from an independent agent) Palu – for the week?
Or alternatively, does anyone have experience of non residential bike hire from a local resort. Appreciate any advice on this or on my general itinerary. Beach, booze and windsurfing. Cheers

Pula Pula or Split to Venice
Posted: Tue March 18, 2008 05:05 AM UTC
Hello,
My partner and I are travelling to Split and arrive there on the 12th of July via a cruise. We disembark the boat there and would then like to travel to Venice.
Can anyone tell me what the best way to travel to Venice would be from Split?
The train is an option but from what I can tell it will be a 16hr overnight trip.
Could I catch a ferry from Split to Venice or do I have to go via Pula?
How would I travel from Split to Pula and how long would this take?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
Many Thanks,
Jo

Pula Transport from Pula airport into Pula town itself & Currency
Posted: Fri October 5, 2007 04:34 PM UTC
Does anybody know the fastest and cheapest way to get into Pula itself from the airport, more particularly the Punta Verudela Resort? Is there a shuttle bus or some kind of public transport? Also, do the majority of people accept euros or is it worth getting Croatian currency! I go next week (Oct 2008).
Thanks for any help

Pula Where to stay in Istria
Posted: Mon August 20, 2007 04:47 PM UTC
Hello, heading to Istria soon but have not finalized plans yet. Will have 4-5 nights the last of which will be in Pula, but am undecided as to where is best to stay the rest of the time (Pula, Rovinj, Porec, etc)? Def want to explore a bit but will not have a car there so will need to take buses.

Also, a little confused about buses from Rijeka to Pula or Rovinj - anyone know how late they run? I will arrive at 5PM and not sure if I need to stay in Rijeka area for the 1st night.

Thanks in advance.

Pula Apartments in Pula for Long-Term Rentals?
Posted: Sun July 29, 2007 12:29 AM UTC
Hi! I was wondering if anyone might know about some resources for renting an apartment (studio or one-bedroom) long-term in Pula. I know there are oodles of sites aimed at vacation rentals, but I hope to move there in the coming months and would like to "live like a local" and "rent like a local" :) If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much! Peace!

Pula Pula Veruda area beaches and cheap accomodation
Posted: Tue June 19, 2007 09:16 PM UTC
Hi
we're planning to go to Croatia and now are choosing places to go..
we'd like to find the cheapest accomodation (smth like hostels for €15-20 per night for 1 person) and have found a place in Pula, the area called Veruda - the southern art of the city
but i'm not sure about the quality of the beaches there - i've only seen yachts and big rocks on fotos.. are there any other cheap places in that city? or maybe the Veruda beach is okay and only looks so rocky? :)

thanks!

Pula acces to beaches AND town?
Posted: Sun June 17, 2007 06:40 PM UTC
Hi everyone,
me and my boyfriend are planning our trip to Pula, but since we have no car we need to find something with good location. Don't mind a bit of a walk (up to 1 km or so), but would like something close to some beaches and also with easy acces to Pula city centre.
Am I asking too much? :)

Pula Pula airport - Medulin transport
Posted: Tue April 3, 2007 03:02 PM UTC
Hey, a group of 4 of us are flying into Pula on July 31 at lunchtime (13.15) and are heading to Medulin for two nights before renting a car (probably from Pula) and driving to Dubrovnik via Sarajevo

My question is what transfer is available from the airport to Medulin. Would I be best off renting the car for an extra two days?

Or does anyone have a link to a local company that could provide transport

Hi,

Just booked a cheap flight over to Pula for late in March. Just a few general questions any help appreciated.

· Cheap hotels are they easy to come by this time of year? Someone near the sea would be good
· Bars not after a mad one but any recomadations for a local bar that will be busy and any English or Irish bars?
· How much does food and beer cost over there? I guess its Euros?

Thanks

Pula Travelling to Istria in the Summer
Posted: Sun February 25, 2007 09:16 PM UTC
My sister and I are trying to get to Croatia as part of a summer vacation. We are planning to fly into Pula, but we would like to take a train or bus out, preferrably to a destination in Italy, or the closest nearby city that we could find connecting low-cost flights, but we don't know much about land travel (prices, times, difficulty) in Croatia and would like to know if anyone can help. We also would like to know about the quality of the beaches in Istria, and if there is a place not too far from Pula that we should stay to find clear water and bathing-type beaches. I have heard that Medulin might be a good option. Or are there any other cities in Croatia with good beaches that are easy to get to Italy from? Thanks!
