Maputo johannesburg-maputo
Posted: Sun February 17, 2008 12:04 AM UTC
Hi,

I would like to know if there's a bus service (instead of the train) from Johannesburg to Maputo and, if yes:
1. where I can get it (directly from the airport?)
2. where I can find a timetable
3. there can be problems at the border with the police, even if on a public transport.

Moreover, I read in a reply to the two sisters that it takes only two hours to reach the border. I was told there should be 7 hours in total Johannesburg- maputo. So it means that it takes 5 hours from the border to Maputo?

Thanks a lot.

Maputo Johannesburg to Maputo by Car
Posted: Tue March 14, 2006 02:24 PM UTC
Hello, we are 2 retired sisters (not too old but ...) wanting to visit Mozambique and we have a few questions:
is it safe to ride from Johanesburg to Maputo by car ? how many kilometers?
Then in Mozambique if we go from Maputo to the North is it easy to find petrol or gazoline on the way?
What would you suggest, should we go or should we not?
in advance I thank you

Provincia de Maputo Mozambique for x-mas
Posted: Sun August 29, 2004 10:39 AM UTC
Hi there,
I am planning to come to Mozambique this year for x-mas. well up to now it is not clear from which part of Africa we are coming. Maybe we will fly to Johannesburg and fly to Maputo. Does anybody know where I can get cheap flights to Maputo or to the Bazaruto Archipel? But on the other hand we are thinking of going by car to the North which I believe is a beautiful tour, but then when we would like to go to the Bazaruto Archipel, we cannot get rid of the car ;-( Maybe one of you has got expierences with this tour and could give me a few tips. If you know good accomodation (cosy and private once, which are not to expensive)please tell me. Thanks!
