coming trip to Mhamid and beyond Posted: Thu March 27, 2008 04:57 PM UTC
We have 2 to 3 days with a rented normal car to visit "the desert" for the first time, around April 9-12. Please can someone advise us:
-a possible schedule with where to stay and what to see
-I read it will be necessary to find a 4 x4 to see the dunes (muy wife is not too keen on camels)
We are not high livers. We just want to soak up the beauty and the peace and silence for a couple of days on our first trip to the South.
Thank you so much to anyone who can help.
We are a British couple living in Madrid in late 60's early 70,s but pretty active and love walking

Visiting Dades Valley and Gorge May 18-22 Posted: Tue February 19, 2008 12:19 PM UTC
Does anyone know a good guide to use for seeing the really cool kasbahs, including the abandones ones in the Dades Valley. I really like hiking and exploring and wonder if it's acceptable for an american to be hiking around in the mountains around the kasbahs? I'm really interested in taking pictures as much as I can and love the Moroccan architecture. I was thinking of staying at Chez Pierre.

By bus to Ait Benhaddou ? Posted: Sun July 15, 2007 10:27 PM UTC
Hello,
We'd like to visit Ait Benhaddou from Marrakech (not from Ouarzazate). Are there any direct buses Marrakech-Ait Benhaddou, or do we have to go to Ouarzazate first and then get a grand taxi there?
Your answer is very much appreciated.
Thanks

I am visiting Morocco in May and want to travel from Fes to Ouarzazate. I have read that there is an overnight bus but have been unable to find any further details, such as which company runs it, times and cost. Does anyone have any information?

TRAVELING FROM MARRAKECH TO OUARZAZATE Posted: Thu March 1, 2007 01:59 AM UTC
TRAVELLING FROM MARRAKECH TO OUARZAZATE.
We are travelling from Marrakech to Ouarzazate and would like to fly or have an English speaking driver. Can anyone provide details of how long it would take in a car and the cost or what airline would fly between the 2 cities? What timetable and cost.

Traveling from Marrakech to Ouarzazate Posted: Mon January 29, 2007 03:06 PM UTC
I am traveling to Morocco in March. I will first be in Marrakech, then plan to travel to Ouarzazate, then Fes, then back to Marrakech. Can anyone give advice on the best way to travel between the cities? Particularly for the long distances like Ouarzazate to Fes? It is my understanding that hiring a chauffeur will be very expensive, and I don't feel comfortable renting a car and driving myself.

Road surfaces and width Posted: Thu September 28, 2006 07:28 PM UTC
What is the road like up from the main road to telouet and beyond? Is it wide enough for an average motorhome and is it tarmacced? Also, is it safe to leave the road to park up overnight?

Wife won't ride bus from RAK Posted: Mon September 4, 2006 03:40 PM UTC
In early November, my wife and I will travel from Marrakech to Ouarzazate. I don't want to fly, and would love to jump on the bus. My wife wouldn't. Am I correct to think there's no trouble finding a private car and driver to bring us to Ouarzazate? Where's the best place to get info in Marrakech? What price should I expect to pay for a decent private car and english-speaking driver?
Thank you for using this forum and helping others, like me.

Accommodation Posted: Tue April 25, 2006 10:42 PM UTC
Hi, I'm booked for an 8 day tour starting at Ouarzazate on 3rd September (Exodus - Marrakesh and Sahara tour). I'm making my own way there- arriving Marrakesh 31st August, then planning to catch bus from Marrakesh on either 1st or 2nd Sept to Ouarzazate.
I would welcome personal recommendations of a place to stay, places to eat etc. in Ouarzazate.
Thanks,
Sue x

Hi
Next Monday my wife and I are going on a camel trek from Zagora and sleeping in a Berber tent.

Any tips also most welcome.
