Zadar MEETING IN ZADAR
Posted: Wed August 18, 2004 03:22 PM UTC
Q: Hi fellow VT'lers,

We ( my family and me ) will be in Zadar from the 21st August for 2 weeks.

I just was wondering if anybody would like to meet a few of us for a few drinks one evening for a little chat and fun.

We are organsing a lot of VT meetings here in Dublin and they are always great fun. It would be nice to meet a few people ... locals or fellow travellers.

Hopefully see you soon.

Cheers,

Gabs

PS= Is there a ferry from Split to Zadar at about 1000 am on a Saturday morning?

Zadar guides and boat excursions....
Posted: Wed June 23, 2004 04:52 PM UTC
I'm going to be in Zadar at the beginning of September. I'm interested in hiring a guide for one day to see the historic town and possibly any other nearby points of interests. I know there are tour companies but I was interested in something smaller - more personable (I just did this in Genoa and it was wonderful). I'm interested in architecture, history, viniculture and cuisine. Does anyone know of any 1/2 day cooking classes in the area? I'm also interested in a sailing excursion around the archipelago and/or Kornati. However, I'm looking for something a little more sophisticated than the typical tourist boat tour. (Last year, going from Hvar to Bol, and back, I had to listen to endless hours of ABBA - I like ABBA but not that much) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Zadar car service from Split to Zadar
Posted: Sat May 1, 2004 01:27 PM UTC
I'm arriving in Split but going to Zadar. The bus ride is about 3 hours from Split to Zadar. I'll be jet lagged and beat from the flight so I might want to get to Zadar a little quicker. Any ideas how much a car servcie would be? Thanks for your help.

Zadar trekking around Zadar ...
Posted: Sun April 18, 2004 04:27 PM UTC
Bonjour / Hello !!

My wife and I will be leaving France by bus (Eurolines)
next week and spend about a week in the Dalmatian region of Zadar, does anyone out there like to hike up the mountains ?
Cause we would like a few suggestions on some of the higher hikes , we are experienced hikers.
Otherwise we will just buy some hiking maps
(if they exist) ?

Merci d'avance ,
@l@in et Christiane

If not, what is the best way for going there?

Zadar Beach at Zadar?

Is there a place to swim in the ocean at Zadar? Is there a beach? I only see walls against the ocean in pictures of Zadar. How about nearby?
