Zadar From Ancona to Zadar - roundtrip

What is the recommended ferry line to zadar? Preferably the cheapest.I can only find jardinilia and their schedule is very limited (only 1-2 day). And is it advisable to book everything online or I can book when I get there?

Zadar Getting to Zadar by bus from Split - need to book?
Posted: Wed June 11, 2008 05:26 PM UTC
Hi,

I am going to the Garden festival in Petercane (just outside Zadar), and am travelling up from Split after spending some time on Hvar.

My question is can I just turn up at Split airport and jump on a public bus, or will I need to have booked in advance due to the time of year(i.e early july)

Finally, if anyone knows roughly how much the bus costs that would be really appreciated too!

Any advice very is very appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

I really would like it to be walking distance from the centre, I am not sure on local bus times to take me to my locations. I have been looking at an appartment in the Diklo region but not sure if this is in appropriate walking distance from the centre. Any help would be great

Zadar general question
Posted: Tue September 4, 2007 06:49 PM UTC
this is just a general question, I hope I am not wasting anyones time by being non-specific. I have very recently booked flights departing (very soon) for Zadar. I am arriving on a saturday night and leaving a week later. I have a vague plan involving going to the korkula islands and duprovnik. Is it possible to cover this distance and still have some time for relaxation? I have noticed the ferries are very irregular and I have heard the bus is the way to go. cheers

Does anyone know a reliable car hire company in Croatia where a group of 7 of us could hire a car from Zadar airport and deliver to Split port or town on Saturday 29 july. The international hire companies only rent from Zadar town and their offices in Split typically close at lunchtime. Any help appreciated.

Zadar Where to stay in Zadar ? (cheap accomodation for interrail travelers)
Posted: Sat June 10, 2006 11:42 AM UTC
I'm doing an interrail and planning to stay one night in Zadar, in the end of august, and while searching on the internet I didn't found anything cheap (less than 20 euros). Are there any suggestions? It's accomodation for two people, so a double room would be just fine.

Zadar Ferry from Zadar to Iz
Posted: Fri May 5, 2006 02:57 AM UTC
Hi all,
I booked a week holiday in the island of Iz, starting from Saturday in July.
I am now desperately looking for ferry information from Zadar to Iz.
I can find info on ferry in http://www.jadrolinija.hr/ but it does not show any ferry on saturday to Iz. Is there really no connection to Iz from Zadar on Saturday?

Can anybody give me a recommendation on what to do? Thanks!

Zadar Accomodation near the Ferry in Zadar
Posted: Mon May 30, 2005 06:31 PM UTC
We are looking for reasonably priced accomodations for 6 people (two couples and two teenagers) for July 1 and July 9. We are taking the 6:30 am ferry to Mali Losinj on July 2nd and then arriving back in Zadar late on the 9th. So I think we need something with in walking distance of the ferry or that can arrange transportation for us. I would appreciate any help as I have scoured the internet and not come up with much.

Zadar Back from Zadar, back to Zadar!
Posted: Mon December 13, 2004 08:04 AM UTC
If spent no more than 2 weeks visiting a friend. This wasn't a trip w/ touristy objectives but I truly do regret not having taken advantage of everything I now know was accessible. For that and other reasons, I plan on going back in a month, then for a longer stay in December. I have a couple of starter questions, any help is very appreciated.

- Arriving in the main bus station in Zadar, are there taxis available? (I don't recall seeing any) and what's the typical cost. This may be a surprise visit so I cannot rely on a ride.

- What are the must see(s) from your perspectives? I have a few things in mind but I am more interested in seeing things from a local point of view.

Muchas gracias

Zadar MEETING IN ZADAR
Posted: Wed August 18, 2004 03:22 PM UTC
Q: Hi fellow VT'lers,

We ( my family and me ) will be in Zadar from the 21st August for 2 weeks.

I just was wondering if anybody would like to meet a few of us for a few drinks one evening for a little chat and fun.

We are organsing a lot of VT meetings here in Dublin and they are always great fun. It would be nice to meet a few people ... locals or fellow travellers.

Hopefully see you soon.

Cheers,

Gabs

PS= Is there a ferry from Split to Zadar at about 1000 am on a Saturday morning?
