Balchik CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY IN BOLCHIC
Posted: Sat October 21, 2006 10:06 AM UTC
Hi Everyone

I will be spending Christmas in Bolchic. I have never been to Bulgaria and I was wondering could anyone give me any tips of what to expect with regards to night life i.e. disco's etc. or even late nights in pub's [or is there any such thing] Honestly, I dont have a clue!

Also I understand that there wont be any sun [ha ha] prob snow, so should I bring long warm coats and boots or what?

Any help or tips at all for that time of year would be greatly appreciated.

By for now

Balchik Holiday in Balchik / Russalka
Posted: Sun September 4, 2005 07:10 PM UTC
Anyone can recommend a nice hotel/ pension in Balchik for a 3-4 days trip?
I am an adult with two kids, so probably breakfast included won't be bad. Also, I'm gonna drive from Romania ,so if I can't find anything affordable ( 50 euros/night it's what I would find convenient ) we can move to another nearby place , like Albena or Golden Sands.
Thank you very much.
PS Can anyone tell me something about Russalka?-i.e. is there a hotel or a holiday village?; what are the rates etc.I ask because is very close to my place in Romania.Same thanks.

Balchik About a Hollyday in Balchic
Posted: Thu April 28, 2005 11:24 AM UTC
Hello!
I have some questions about Balchik:
- how is the seaside? Is there nice sand or nasty rocs?
- is there any nice pension/ guesthouse? If not, what about hotels?
- I know what is to be visited and that's why I've choose Balchik, but what are the nightlife attractions? At least bowling and discos?

Last but not least: what would be your reccommendation? I'd like to go on the Bulgarian seaside because it's not far from my place (Bucharest), have a good bath in the sea, lie on a nice beach, get out in the evenings with my husband and friends and stay in a nice room (with adjacent bathroom), preferably with windows to the sea.
Any suggestions?

Thank you very much,
Irina.

Balchik Tips for living and eating in Balchik
Posted: Mon November 15, 2004 04:43 PM UTC
My parents have just purchased a house in a small village just outside of Balchik. My father is (to my shame) staunchly British in his taste for food and misses his fry-ups and "english" food. Can anybody give me any good tips to pass on to him for eating out in this region.

Also any tips on how they can make some friends out there would be great.

Balchik papers and money
Posted: Sun June 6, 2004 11:41 AM UTC
Last minute request as I leave for Varna tomorrow. What is the exchange rate over there as I just received 2.61 to the £ here. How available are British news papers and lastly it seems pretty wet with lots of thunder storms?
