I would like to know if it is possible to get a bus
Essaouira - marakech on the 3-09-08 at 12h00 Supratours.
Is it still summer that date or not.
Or do we have to take the 16h00 Supratours.
I thought maybe it is a problem because it's ramadan?
My touropperator can arrange a transfer to marrakech but it's to high priced.

I'll be arriving to Marrakesh around 19:00 hrs--does anyone know if collective taxis are still available to Essaouira around this time?

Can anyone tell me how far (how long) from suprabus terminal in Essaouirra to Al Jasira Hotel? Is it in walking distance witgh luggage?

Hi my husband and i plus our two girls aged 5 and 2 are visting 4 days marrakech and 4 days essouira in march, what is the best and cheapest way to travel from marrakech to Es and could you recommend somewhere cheap to stay but somewhere that also has a pool. Will weather be quite warm in march to do paddling in sea, or would you recommend a hotel with heated pools? also names of nice restaurants italians etc and any other info would be appreciated and also how much shouls we expect to pay for taxi from marr airport to city centre? and is it poss to book supratour from marr to essouira in advance from uk.

Hi, i'm going to Morocco soon and am planning to spend half my time in Essaouira and half in Chefchaouen. What is the best method of transport for a lone traveller between these two places? Will a taxi take me all the way? How much would this likely be?

am planning to travel to essaouira from marrakech during Eid al-Fitr and wondered if buses will be running as normal and if i need to book tickets in advance? also what about shop openings? i am travelling with my baby and will need to buy supplies of nappies, milk etc. are the supermarkets open each day during this period?
any advice much appreciated!

I'm planning on going to Morocco for about 3 months in january. I don't have much money so am thinking htat rather than travel too much I'm going to rent an apartment in a town and get active. A friend recommended surfing in Essaouira. How much would it cost to rent for the 3 months? Would it be difficult to finda place? What would be a reasonable budget for the time spent there?

I was just wondering about sunbathing in Essaouira - is it inappropriate to wear a bikini on the beach? Or on the hotel terrace (if they have any kind of sunbathing area)? I've also heard it's rather windy on the beach - is there anywhere else to sunbathe, e.g. a swimming pool or something in the area that we could go to? Sunbathing isn't the be all and end all for me, I just wondered whether to bring a bikini with me or not!

I´m getting to Essaouira on Monday with a friend but we dont know much about the place.We want to have a relaxing week but we would like to have some fun also..Do you think it would be possible in esaouira? or may be we would have to get somewhere else. Is there any possibilities of meeting people for example? Any nightlife at all? and we would also like to know about the beaches there and if there´s any place around we should go (another town or something) nearby...Thank you! We are 25 by the way...

Is it a walkable distance from the Supratours stop to the Hotel Des Iles with a small case.

How much should we pay to get to Essaouira in a grande taxi from Marrakech? We are a family of two adults and two children arriving at the airport tired with luggage and no Dh ! I am travelling to Marrakech on 14 - 21 March (with my husband) and I thought I would travel to Essaouira on the 16 or 17th March. How easy is it to book accommodation for a few nights, preferably in a Riad. Can I do it when I arrive or can you recommend a site where I can book in advance? I would also be interested in Riads in Marrakech if you have any ideas. I live in the country at home and like fairly peaceful surroundings normally.

I checked the Supratour bus website for saturday, sunday and monday in December they only have two buses (dparting 3pm and 6pm) from Marrakech to Essaouira. Does anyone knows the schedule for CTM buses?

If I go straight from Marrakech Airport to Essaouria by taxi, is there grande taxi at the airport on this route (how much)? If not how much should I pay for the whole taxi?

Im coming to visit Essaouria around the 27th July.

With my girlfriend.
Im looking for somewhere to stay.

Ive done a little bit of research and found all sorts of apartments and riads etc, but i havnt really had any recommendations from people who have actually stayed there.

I looked at JAcks Kiosk for apartment and they have very nice for 65euro. But this is MUCH TOO much for me. Ok for a few days but i intend to stay there for 3 weeks.

I thought that mb an apartment might be cheaper than a hotel, but im thinking that I can get a much better deal in a hotel for less than 65 euro.

However Im still thinking that i can find a good deal on an apartment.

Im wishing to stay 3 weeks.
To relax. with my girlfriend who i havnt seen for 3 months.


Im not looking for anything luxurious, but it must be comfortable.

Ive stayed in Essaouria before - i think at the Hotel Des Remparts - anbd this was fine and fun - but this was not with my girlfriend and im thinking that mb it would be good idea to find somewhere nicer. But this place did have atmosphere - however Im not so sure if my idea of ATMOSPHERE is alwaysl my girlfriends idea of atmosphere.


So would you have any recommendations of either apartment or hotel or guest house?

A couple of quick questions re: Essaouira.
We're arriving late Friday night (23:00) Will there still be places open to eat?

Also, we are only in Essaoira for 1 week onlt and would like to visit Marrakesh.
How easy is this? Ideally we would like to stay 1 night in Marrakesh so we can visit Jemaa el Fna.

We are a family that are coming to Morocco this summer. We are two adults and 3 children ( aged 15, 12 and 10 ).

We would like to find a place to stay in Essaouira for the nights of 23, 24, 25 August 2006. We are not looking for anything too grand, just a nice place to stay that at a fair price. We would also love to have the opportunity to meet with ordinary Moroccan people, perhaps even the opportunity for the boys to play some football as well.

If you have availability for these dates can you please confirm the details by email ( price per person per night or price per room ) and say what is included in the price etc.

If you have a web page can you please provide the address or email a few photo's of the Hotel / Room / Gite etc
