Dubrovnik To Sarajevo Posted: Wed September 2, 2009 01:45 PM UTC
Hello there! I am visiting Dubrovnik in October for 5 days and if possible, would like to do a day trip to Sarajevo. Does anyone know whether this is possible? I know there are buses departing from Dubrovnik to Sarajevo daily at 07h30 and that the bus trip is about 6 hours. Does anyone know what time buses depart Sarajevo for Dubrovnik & whether there is more than one departure per day? Alternately, are there any tour operators who offer a day trip to Sarajevo. About 7 years ago I did a trip from Dubrovnik to Mostar, but never made it as far as Sarajevo & really hope to make it this time. Any advice & suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks :o)

Hi to everybody,
I was asking me if it was possible to rich by bus any Serbia's cities except Belgrad from Srebrenica. I would like to continue my trip from there on my way to Kosovo and don't be forced to go back to Sarajevo. It's possible?
Many thanks for answering me.

Online bus travel planner. Posted: Wed August 26, 2009 11:19 AM UTC
Hi everybody!
I am planning to backpack in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for about three weeks; so lots of day trips to be done by public transport (and the bus looks easyer and better than train).
I have been searching for a web page where I could plan my trips around the country; one of those along the lines "insert starting place, insert arrival place, insert date; and get the available conections". And obviously, I have not been able to find any.
Anyone able to point me the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

which route? Posted: Wed August 26, 2009 07:22 AM UTC
I'm driving from Dubrovnik to Mostar in late October.
I had planned to drive up the coast via Neum amd then take the E73 inland.
However, viaMichelin recommends going via Trebinje and Gacko. Looks longer to me, plus the road from Gacko to Mostar is lower grade than the others.
I know the Neum route will involve 3 border crossings as opposed to 1 on the Gacko road, so maybe that's the explanation.
Any thoughts or experiences out there?

Christmas Posted: Sun August 9, 2009 08:14 AM UTC
I'm looking for somewhere to spend a few days away over Christmas. I was in Sarajevo last month and liked it. Anyone have any recent experience of being there midwinter?
I know it will be cold, I know the airport has fog problems in winter, and I know it hosted the Winter Olympics in the 80s.
Also interested in hearing from anyone who has been skiing there recently - my teenage son skis and might come with me if that's an option for him.

Transportation Posted: Wed June 17, 2009 04:57 AM UTC
Hello everybody,
I would like to know what is the best way to have a day trip in Mostar.
1) From Split, take the bus to Mostar and return to Split. or
2) From Split, take the bus to Mostar and go directly to Dubrovnik.
My routing will be in Split, Mostar and Dubrovnik but I am not sure whether I can connect the bus to Dubrovnik after a day trip in Mostar.
Thanks

From Melbourne, Australia to Sarajevo, B&H Posted: Tue May 26, 2009 08:50 PM UTC
I am hoping to do this trip next May.
I really hate flying so want to do it as little as possible.
Could someone advise me what kind of place in Europe would be the quickest flight - I only want the one necessary stopover to refuel.
Then if it is say, Frankfurt, I would spend a few days there, and find the easiest way by land to get to Sarajevo.
But maybe I should also consider not only the quickest flight, but also how easy it is to get to Sarajevo.
As long as there is only one stopover. A few hours in the plane don't really matter.
Thank you if you have got any advice or tips.

Going to/from Athens, Greece to/from Bosnia Posted: Mon March 23, 2009 12:47 PM UTC
Hi,
I am coming from another country to visit Athens, Greece for a week near the beginning of April. I would like to spend my additional week visiting Sarajevo and Medjugorje. However, I am not familiar with this part of the world and not sure what the best mode of transportation to/from Bosnia would be.
What are the suggested/recommended best way to go from Athens, Greece to/from Bosnia? What is the recommended city/location to stop once in Bosnia?
Which way is the most economical?
How long does it take to go from Athens, Greece to Bosnia?
I have attempted to research the most feasible way of travel as I am not against any mode of transportation as long as it is reasonable on length of travel time and economical. However, I am unable to find anything outside of the www.bahn.de website that tells me it will take roughly 27 hours to travel between the two countries. Is this correct? Is there a quicker, more economical mode of travel?
Any assistance that could be provided would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,

Sarajevo - Mostar - Kravice Posted: Tue February 24, 2009 09:02 AM UTC

Looking for Belgrade to Sarajevo itinerary ideas! Posted: Mon February 9, 2009 06:27 AM UTC
Hi, a friend and I (two over-40 females) plan to rent a car in Belgrade, see as many interesting things as possible, and return the car 10 days later in Sarajevo. We don't care at all about partying or night life. We're interested in history and meeting & talking to people. Let me hear your itinerary ideas (where, how many days, how many hours driving, etc)! Much thanks, Jan

Crossing from Gorazde (B & H) through Metaljka to Montenegro Posted: Sat February 7, 2009 04:25 AM UTC
Hi everyone,
3 questions:
1. This border-crossing, Metaljka, seems to be open, but I haven't heard any tourist crossing through it. Has anyone done this before?
2. Is there any regular bus service going this route? I have checked on http://www.autobusni-kolodvor.com, but not quite...
3. Accommodation around this area? Any reasonable dormitory or private apartment (Sobe/Sobi)?
Thanks in advance!
