Hi All,i have a huge dilemma,i dont know how to get to the Charleroi airport to make a Ryanair flight at 6.30 am.I was wondering to stay in some hotel in Charleroi over the night and leave the hotel at around 4.30 am, but i am afraid that there is no transport early in the morning to the airport.Should we take the taxi?How much is it? Please advise.Thanks

Hi, I am searching for relatives of Dirk van der Kleij geb. 1888 in Netherlands and married to a lady from La Louviere (bracquegnies) probably called Lucille Le Blanc? (That isn't sure) They got 2 daughters, 1 living in La Louviere, other living in Charleroi. Dirk van der Kleij lost his thumb in an accident in the mines and till his 65 th birthday, he got an allowance for his invalidity.
When he divorced his wife, he got back to the Netherlands and married again. I am his granddaughter of his 2nd marriage. I am very anxious to meet someone of his family in La Louviere....

Hi, I'm flying into Charleroi on a fri night and I should get to the airport at 22.55. Will there still be buses running to Gare du Midi or am I better off getting a taxi? There are 7 of us so we may not all fit, any idea how much it would cost?

Hi! we are a group of erasmus students studying in Montpellier who going to I Love Techno this year, as the TGV is very expensive we have decided to fly from Carcassone to Chareroi and then get to Gent as quickly as possible as our flight arrvies at 19:05 and the gig starts at 19:00, how long does it take to get from Charelroi to Brussels and then from Brusels to Gent? is it expensive?Any insights will be much apreciated. How often does the direct shuttle bus from the airport to Brussels Midi Station runs? Does it run 7/24?

I am staying overnight in Charleroi ,and I heard it was dangerous ,can i go out at night for a drink .I was thinking of staying near bus for airport ,I saw a hotel nearby but also some dubious ladies ,is this ok to stay here .Thanks for your help

If I am scheduled to arrive at Charleroi airport at 10:35 am, & my flight back to the US leaves the Brussels (International I guess??) airport at 12:20 pm, would I have enough time to get thru customs, change airports, & catch my flight? Is Ryan Air usually on time? I have never been to Belgium & I really want to take the extra trip to Barcelona but I can't miss my flight!!!!! Any info is GREATLY appreciated.... :D

My husband and I may be moving to Mons next year from Canada. I've been trying to find info on Mons on the web and the best information I've gotten has been from here! :)

But I'm still curious about a few things. Moving to Europe sounds wonderful, but my concerns are more about the day to day things that can drive you crazy:

1) Is digital cable TV/satellite TV/high speed internet available in Mons?
2) Can I purchase English books and magazines easily?
3) Is there a good transport system?
4) How can we look for a house to rent? (And what's a good area of town?)
5) Are there lots of things to do entertainment wise?
6) Is it primarily French or Dutch?

Any other information would be appreciated as well.

There is a wonderful steak restaurant on the Grand' Place that does fillet of beef "sur pierre", on a hot stone. Can anyone tell me the name of the restaurant (left hand side of the grand buildings) and whether it is open on a Monday evening?

I need to catch a morning flight out to Glasgow from S. Charleroi Airport at the end of June. I plan to come from Den Hague via an early morning train. Can someone tell me where should I be getting off the train when I am in Brussels to catch the train to Charleroi? This is my first time taking Ryanair at Charleroi to Glasgow so I am a little bit worried that I will be lost and late to catch my flight. Many thanks.
