Hi all,
I've seen somebody mentioning staying overnight at Charleroi - is it possible? A few years ago I was told the airport closes at night so I can't stay there. Now, I'll fly from Charleroi to Dublin on a Monday morning, so can I go to the airport on Sunday evening and take my flight on Monday morning or will I be kicked out in the evening? Also how safe is Charleroi (I've stayed in Schiphol for overnight, it was alright, but it's one of the biggest in Europe)? As much as an airport can be - is there security at night, anything open 24/7 to grab a coffee maybe? Thanks a lot! |

Hello all
I'm heading to the Tanks in Town festival in Mons at the end of August. It will be my first time attending :) Just wondering if anyone can offer me any advise which might be useful to enjoying the experience fully? I'm sure the crowds there will be huge and i've read online about a flea market, a re-enactment of the 1944 route into town by military vehicles etc. Just thought i would ask if anyone could advise me from personal experience what might be essential for this weekend, apart from lots of memory for my camera! :) Thanks a lot DG |

Hello. PLEASE HELP ME! :) Our flight will arrive in Charleroi around 21.30. We need to get to Namur as cheaply as possible (broke students). I found out that we can get a bus no. 68 from airport to train station and then a train to Namur. How much does each of these cost? Will they still be running at this time? THANKS!!!

I've been searching online and i can't find any decently priced guesthouses in central Mons... actually, i didn't find any guesthouses! Can anyone recommend any? And if so, is there a website for said guesthouse available? I don't want to stay in a hotel. A hostel is also acceptable :) I'm looking to book well in advance so i have some time to play with to find a place, with your help of course :) Cheers! DG |

Hello everyone.
Since I'm visiting a friend in Lille, I booked a flight which lands at Charleroi airport on November 20, 2008 at 19.20. I see that the first shuttle Charleroi-Lille (Autocars l'élan) is 4 hours later. So I considered the train, and took a look at the SNCB site. But the last direct train Charleroi-Lille is at 20,02! I don't want to be stuck in Charleroi station overnight! Anyone can suggest me another (cheap of course) itinerary by train or bus which leaves around 21 or so?? Or a nice bar where to wait for the 23,30 shuttle while drinkin some good Belgian beer?!! Thanks in advance! Francesco |

Finally I've decided to go back to one of my favourite european countries..Belgium!! As my flight arrives at 22.15 to Charleroi (well, probably later) I'd like to ask you whether there are some ways of getting to town that late say at about 23h. I will fly to Charleroi Brussels South on 25th of November with WizzAir from
Sofia and would like to go to Lille. I have read there is a direct bus from the airport to Lille managed by Autocars l'Elan. Unfortunately I am unable to get my ticket online as there is no option to reserve tickets from Bulgaria. Could you please let me know if there is any problem to get a ticket directly from the airport? Any further details about that would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi, I am living in Brussels and have a flight out of Charleroi to Venice at 6:00 in the MORNING on Friday. I see that the first shuttle bus leaves Gare du Midi at 4:30. Does anyone know if this will get me to Charleroi early enough to get checked in and to the gate to make my flight? or should I take a taxi?
Has anyone taken the 4:30 bus?? Thank you so much for your help! |

Hi All,i have a huge dilemma,i dont know how to get to the Charleroi airport to make a Ryanair flight at 6.30 am.I was wondering to stay in some hotel in Charleroi over the night and leave the hotel at around 4.30 am, but i am afraid that there is no transport early in the morning to the airport.Should we take the taxi?How much is it? Hi, I am searching for relatives of Dirk van der Kleij geb. 1888 in Netherlands and married to a lady from La Louviere (bracquegnies) probably called Lucille Le Blanc? (That isn't sure) They got 2 daughters, 1 living in La Louviere, other living in Charleroi. Dirk van der Kleij lost his thumb in an accident in the mines and till his 65 th birthday, he got an allowance for his invalidity.
When he divorced his wife, he got back to the Netherlands and married again. I am his granddaughter of his 2nd marriage. I am very anxious to meet someone of his family in La Louviere.... Many thanks in advance, Jose van der Kleij |

Hi! we are a group of erasmus students studying in Montpellier who going to I Love Techno this year, as the TGV is very expensive we have decided to fly from Carcassone to Chareroi and then get to Gent as quickly as possible as our flight arrvies at 19:05 and the gig starts at 19:00, how long does it take to get from Charelroi to Brussels and then from Brusels to Gent? is it expensive?Any insights will be much apreciated. Hi!!we are a group of young people from Valencia who are willing to go to this years i love techno near ghent. We are going to buy some fly tickets Valencia-Charleroi, and that same day get to amsterdam and stay there 3 nights. then we would like to return to brussels, directly to ghent where the festival will take place and finally return from ghent to charleroi airport to come back home...WE NEED SOME HELP WITH THE CHARLEROI AIRPORT-AMSTERDAM AND AMSTERDAM GHENT ROUTES!!CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP US?THANKS A LOT!
