I have searched around but couldn't find this info. Can someone please tell me the departure time of buses from Mostar to Dubrovnik in early June? Many thanks

I am an Architectural student at the university of Greenwich, London.

I am doing a project on the regeneration of mostar and would very much appreciate any information on the following:

1) Where could i find good streets maps of Mostar preferrable on the internet or otherwise in shops?
2) Advice on the best restaurants, bars etc within stari grad area of mostar?
3) Advice on tourism in general, i.e good places to visit, again within stari grad area of mostar?
4) Advice on the local agriculture, food markets, locally produced food in and around the city of mostar.

As you can see its a bit of an open ended questions, but any help along those lines would be great.

Even small details would be good...for example a restaurant along brace fejica that sells wonderful fish!! It all helps give me an impression of the city.

Hi, how often do buses run between Dubrovnik and Mostar and how much would they cost.

Also, does anyone know if there is a bus service from Southern Montenego eg Budva into Dubrovnik?

Thanks for telling me (over and over again;D) that it's very safe in Mostar. So now the next questions:

1. Where can i find accomodation in Mostar?

2. How do we get from Mostar to Sarajevo? I know we have to take a bus, but how often does it go and what would it costs?

Hello everybody,

I was wondering whether it is already allowed to cross the bridge in Mostar. Second question would be whether it is safe to cross the bridge (I've heard something about muslims on one side and croats on the other and friendship not being the biggest denominator).

Hello, we will have a hire car during our stay in Dubrovnik during August. We are definately keen on taking a day trip to Mostar, but also want to see sarajevo (on a separate day).
Does anyone have any advice on taking these day trips? How long is the drive? Where should we DEFINATELY see/eat/visit?

I will be visiting Croatia and Montenegro in September and I'm wanting to add a trip to Mostar.

I will have a hire car in Croatia and Montenegro and was wondering are there any problems driving independantly from Croatia to Mostar or is it best going as part of an organised tour?

I want to congratulate everyone in Mostar with the new build or rebuild old bridge.
I hope it will rebuild tourism and of course the good living there, like that was before the war.

In the next days I should travel from Split (Croatia) to Mostar (Bosnia-H.), because on the 23rd it will take place the inauguration of the new 'Stari most' bridge in Mostar.

Does anybody know if there is any bus from Split or Makarska to Mostar?

Waht about hitchhiking? Is it a possible alternative to travel there?

I will be going to Mostar form Dubrovnik (Croatia) on Monday the 13th September.

Would it be possible for me to get convertable mark in Croatia, is it difficult to get them once I get to Mostar (or find sutible ATM Cirrus/Maestro) or should i try and get them form the UK before I start my journey?

I read on a website that i needed to registar with the police when i got to Mostar, is this true? My guide book doesn't mention it, but then again for Bosnia-Hercegovina it really doesn't say much.

If I need to registar with the police do I need to registar again when I get to Sarajevo?

I am planning to travel to Sarajevo next October (I went in 2002). And I would like to jump to Mostar. I have read I can take the train, which s perfect. Somebody can recommend a bed and breakfast? Not the "touristic and expensive" hotls, but something more familiar?

As Mostar is still a divided city (as i read in various comments) I think it's best to by official BiH stamps in eastern part of Mostar and Croat BiH stamps in the western part of Mostar?? Is this correct?? Are those post offices in both sides of Mostar easily to find??

I already found the website of BHpost (superb site!!), but is there also a site for Croat BiH post (and Srpska post)??? (I only found some dead links..)

I have a roadmap next to me that says that "IZVOR BUNA" is worth visiting. Unfortunately it doesn't say what it is and I can't find any other info on this item?
Maybe some locals can help??

I posted it in the Mostar forum as it is "next" to Mostar(maybe rather closer to Blagaj?). Anywat it is on the road from Mostar to Pluzine.
