Hi all,

I've seen somebody mentioning staying overnight at Charleroi - is it possible? A few years ago I was told the airport closes at night so I can't stay there.
Now, I'll fly from Charleroi to Dublin on a Monday morning, so can I go to the airport on Sunday evening and take my flight on Monday morning or will I be kicked out in the evening?
Also how safe is Charleroi (I've stayed in Schiphol for overnight, it was alright, but it's one of the biggest in Europe)? As much as an airport can be - is there security at night, anything open 24/7 to grab a coffee maybe?

Hello. PLEASE HELP ME! :) Our flight will arrive in Charleroi around 21.30. We need to get to Namur as cheaply as possible (broke students). I found out that we can get a bus no. 68 from airport to train station and then a train to Namur. How much does each of these cost? Will they still be running at this time? THANKS!!!

Hello everyone.
Since I'm visiting a friend in Lille, I booked a flight which lands at Charleroi airport on November 20, 2008 at 19.20.
I see that the first shuttle Charleroi-Lille (Autocars l'élan) is 4 hours later. So I considered the train, and took a look at the SNCB site. But the last direct train Charleroi-Lille is at 20,02! I don't want to be stuck in Charleroi station overnight!
Anyone can suggest me another (cheap of course) itinerary by train or bus which leaves around 21 or so??
Or a nice bar where to wait for the 23,30 shuttle while drinkin some good Belgian beer?!!

Finally I've decided to go back to one of my favourite european countries..Belgium!! As my flight arrives at 22.15 to Charleroi (well, probably later) I'd like to ask you whether there are some ways of getting to town that late say at about 23h. Interested in any option as well as budget places to stay over for a night. Your inputs are greatly appreciated.

I will fly to Charleroi Brussels South on 25th of November with WizzAir from
Sofia and would like to go to Lille. I have read there is a direct bus from the
airport to Lille managed by Autocars l'Elan. Unfortunately I am unable to get my
ticket online as there is no option to reserve tickets from Bulgaria. Could you
please let me know if there is any problem to get a ticket directly from the
airport? Any further details about that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am living in Brussels and have a flight out of Charleroi to Venice at 6:00 in the MORNING on Friday. I see that the first shuttle bus leaves Gare du Midi at 4:30. Does anyone know if this will get me to Charleroi early enough to get checked in and to the gate to make my flight? or should I take a taxi?

Has anyone taken the 4:30 bus??

I need to get from Brussels to Charleroi airport for a flight at 6.30am on a Friday and I have heard people mention that there is a shuttle bus but I cannot find any other details if anyone has infomation about this bus (how much, where from, time and website) that would get me to the airport in time can you let me know.

Hi All,i have a huge dilemma,i dont know how to get to the Charleroi airport to make a Ryanair flight at 6.30 am.I was wondering to stay in some hotel in Charleroi over the night and leave the hotel at around 4.30 am, but i am afraid that there is no transport early in the morning to the airport.Should we take the taxi?How much is it? Hi, I'm flying into Charleroi on a fri night and I should get to the airport at 22.55. Will there still be buses running to Gare du Midi or am I better off getting a taxi? There are 7 of us so we may not all fit, any idea how much it would cost?

Hi! we are a group of erasmus students studying in Montpellier who going to I Love Techno this year, as the TGV is very expensive we have decided to fly from Carcassone to Chareroi and then get to Gent as quickly as possible as our flight arrvies at 19:05 and the gig starts at 19:00, how long does it take to get from Charelroi to Brussels and then from Brusels to Gent? is it expensive?Any insights will be much apreciated.
