Do you need a special permit or visa to visit the Sinai peninsula?

Ras Sudr

Hello,

Does anyone know the resort area called Ras Sudr and a resort called the Blue Lagoon Resort? I am researching right now for a two month vacation and am wondering if this place is any good. Also need to know if it is close to Sharm el Sheik.
