I would like to experience the pyramids from an angle or location not full of tourists jostling for space. Riding a well kept horse out and around the pyramids seems like an option. What stables or vendors can anyone recommend? FB Stables and Prestige Stables are the two I have been looking at recently. Their prices seem to be about $65 US for a half day.
On these rides can a person get close to the pyramids?
Any other hints would be appreciated.

From what I'm reading online, tips are almost demand for everything. I have no problem with this... it's culture.

However, would like some guide lines on how much to tip: rest rooms, photos and all those little things.

I am visiting Egypt for 4 days in June and would like to know the best way of booking day tours of the Pyramids.

Is it best to pre book this through a travel agent?

Or can most hotels assist with this?

Has anybody travelled recently from Baharia to Siwa and can provide info about the trip (buses/cars, how long, how much, permission requested)? I'm trying to organise a trip from oasi to oasi and don't know from which oasi start in order to make things smoother.

Hi. Does anybody know if it is at all possible and reasonably easy to hire an ordinary taxi (meaning a normal 2WD passenger car) for a day at Bawiti in the Bahariya oasis? Where should I ask?
I would like to use it for a slow trip from Bahariya to Farafra with stops along the way. Knowing that the Black and White Deserts and majority of sites like Crystal mountain are just next to the paved road I would like to avoid the expense and over-organization of the jeep trips and enjoy it at my own pace. How much I should expect to pay? Thanks.

Im planning to go to Egypt within cople of weeks.Are there any other interesting places in Giza or around Giza area than the pyramids?Is it possible to spend 3days in Egypt for Giza trip,Alexandria, and Cairo?Any advices will be greatly appreciated.

My wife and I will be arriving later in the day into Cairo. I would like to reserve a limousine to take us from the airport to the Oasis Hotel in Giza. Would anyone know what I should expect to pay for a limo and does anyone have any limo contacts? I really want to take care of this before I depart.

going to cairo in december.. and only have 2 days to do some sights.. is it better to go on a "tour" from the hotel or to get a taxi for the day to see giza etc...

I plan to visit Egypt for a week early next year. I would like to visit the pyramids and then spend 2-3 nights in a nice resort along the red sea. since im not familar with the geography location of these places, can somebody help me on the itinerary of my trip?

Hi! I definitely want to have a bit of a camel ride while I'm there... I don't care how uncomfortable or expensive... I want pictures of me on a camel! =) But what is a good price for a ride and how long is a ride? Do they lead you around? Tell me about any experiences you've had riding a camel!!

i have to participate in a school project about giza could anyone send me some photos of some 'normal' places.. not of the pyramids or stuff like that which u can find anywhere
its really hard to find some pics of daily situations or simply how it looks like in the streets/market/ehatever and not of those tourits atractions..
