Greetings travelers! I reside in Houston, TX and know a professional Dive Master in Dahab that will arrange a tour consisting of a 90 minute camel ride and several dives. I plan to fly into Cairo and take it from there but truly need a female traveling companion. Contact me here if interested!

We are planning to go our open water PADI certificates, Take a day trip to Petra and a Quad biking trip into the desert. I have been looking on the internet but cant find any prices.
We also wanted to do something like sand dune surfing but not sure if it is available.

Rental apartment in Dahab Posted: Wed October 24, 2007 10:59 PM UTC
My husband and I are spending the New Year in Dahab and would like a small, furnished apartment for 6 nights. We'd like to be near the beach and town so that we don't need transport. All sites I've looked at don't meet all criteria. Any suggestions?

Visa for Dahab Posted: Tue May 1, 2007 10:33 AM UTC
Hi fellow vt'ers
i am going to Dahab in Nov with my fiance. We are uk citizens and want to know if we need a tourist visa. I have read that you dont need one if you are staying in Sharm El Sheikh or scuba diving in the surrounding area.
I know Dahab is about an hour from Sharm so wondered whether we would need one!
Thanks in advance,
Stacey xxx

Hello,
Any body experience with a diving and surfing vacation at Dahab? Is there a good laid back spot where we can do both? I am looking for a place somewhere around dahab for the end of September.
What is the nightlife like? Is there any or will it be a hard-core healty diving/surfing holiday?
Thanks for the tips!
Boris from amsterdam.

Dahab anyone? (end March / early April) Posted: Sun February 26, 2006 02:41 PM UTC
Hi there, I'll be in Dahab on my own for a week, arriving March 27. Would be great to find some company from VT there. I'm not a diver and not so much into snorkeling, but would like to do some trips into the desert (Coloured Canyon, Ain Khudra, camel riding). I stay in a hotel in Mashraba.
Just drop me a mail...
A.

What is there to do/see around Dahab? Posted: Thu January 12, 2006 01:42 PM UTC
Hi, I'm in Dahab for another two weeks or so and I was wondering if someone could suggest things to do or see around Dahab besides diving and windsurfing.
Please note that we are traveling with a baby so shaky jeep or camel trips are out of the questions... the only thing I have found is the St. Catherine's monastery.
Anything else?

Luxury in Dahab Posted: Mon October 3, 2005 11:19 AM UTC
I am travelling to Dahab with my boyfriend in November. He is going for the diving/surfing. I am going for a holiday. Without staying in some nasty big chain hotel, is there such a thing as a luxury hotel in Dahab?

Diving and accommodation Posted: Fri June 17, 2005 05:37 AM UTC
When I visit Egypt I plan to stay some days in Dahab for scuba diving. I have heard that Nesima Dive Centre is good and think of diving with them. But Nesima Resort is a bit too expensive to stay at, so I want to stay somewhere cheaper.
For accommodation I have heard good things about Penguin Camp and Nirvana Hotel. Both these places also have dive centres but I haven't heard anything about them. Does anyone know anything about these dive centres?

has dahab changed? Posted: Wed January 12, 2005 08:39 AM UTC
as i am surfing the net, i keep seeing comments about Dahab changing since couple of years ago. a concrete promenade, beduin style cafes on the beach disappearing.... is it really that extreme?has dahab still kept some of its old charm? i am dreaming of those beach cafes with coushines, shisha and just relaxing....

Scuba & Hotel packages Posted: Mon December 27, 2004 08:45 PM UTC
I'll be in Dahab in Feb. and want to get PADI Open Water Certified. I was thinking of going through Club Red but then stumbled across Subsinai. They offer package of diving certification plus 7 night accomodation for 240 Euro. Accomodations would be at either "Full Moon Hotel" or "Hotel Pearl of the South." Does anyone know of these places? I can't find any info. Thanks

Mobile Phone SIM Cards. Posted: Mon October 11, 2004 09:36 AM UTC
Hi, Yet another question! I hope that I am not being a pest. We would like to buy an Egyptian Pay-As-You-Go SIM card while in Dahab - so as to be able to send text messages to Spain. Does anyone know where in Dahab we could buy one and roughly how much they cost? Can you even recommend a network? Thanks for any help, Lummox.

Oooh ... What's Going On. Posted: Fri October 8, 2004 08:19 AM UTC
I have seen news items about the 3 bombs - Nuweida, Taba and (I think) Eilat. What is local feeling? I have only read good reports of the atmosphere and friendliness of the area... It doesn't tally with the death toll. We would still like to travel, but are considering the options. Anyone have their own comments? Thanks.

Euros/US Dollars/UK Pounds Posted: Wed October 6, 2004 01:34 PM UTC
Hi, I am going to Dahab for two weeks next week. Which currency would you recommend that I take? Are Travellers' Cheques easy to exchange? Will Visa be accepted. Sorry for asking all the questions at once ... just a bit baffled. Thanks.
