Hi!

We are friends from Britain (well one of us is from India!) and are going on a Christmas ski trip to Andorra from 23rd Dec [Sunday] to 30th Dec [Sunday], 1 week. We are reaching Barcelona on Saturday [22nd] and departing for the ski week the next day after a night of partying in lovely Barcelona!

On the way back, we are staying in Barcelona for two days [30th-1st] to celebrate the new year! ..and returning to the UK on 1st [Tuesday].

Anyone out there who would like to join us either by yourself or with his/her friends please get in touch so we can all book the same hotel/resort. Got to do it soon as prices will start to shoot up in the next week or so.

want to buy a car or van in andorra.I am a uk resident but will be working in Barcelona.Are cars dut-free to non residents?

I posted a comment yesterday about work in pas de la cassa and it seems to be deleted. Just wondering if there was a reason why it would get deleted? if i posted in the wrong forum or something? I have had a search about and cant really find any other site with a forum like this, If i am posting in the wrong place can someone post a link to somewhere i can find out more information please.

Do you know of a good hotel in Andora La Vella for a couple of nights, something about 2-3 stars? Also any favorite restaurants. We are driving to Andora from Perpignan, France.

I'm hoping to catch some of the Vuelta a Espana in the Andorra region (finishes near Vallnord / Arcalis) this September.
All I can find on the region involves winter sports, I'm looking for any tips on roads, hotels, local hidden gems, etc., relevant to the off-season.

Also, I'm still trying to confirm exactly where to watch the stage, so info on the actual '07 route will also help.

A couple of mates and i are thinking of heading to Pas de la Casafor a ski trip around feb08. We are coming from perth, australia. So flying to barcelona i assume would be the best bet? whats the best form of transport to get there in & how much does it cost to get to this resort from barcelona by it?

I am planning a motorcyle trip this summer. I am planning to drive from Narbonne to Zaragoza and I thought about going via Perpgnan and Andorra.

What are the roads and scenery like on this route?

Would you recommend a different route (Narbonne > Pau > Zaragoza?)

Hi, I am travelling to El Tarter tomorrow morning. My boyfriend is unfortunately not able to come until Monday and the tour operator has said he will have to make his own way to the resort. His flight gets in at 9.35am but the skihoppa does not go until 18.00 and gets in at 3.30am! Does anyone know a quicker way? Thanks

Has anyone been to andorra recently and what has the snow been like? We are hoping to go skiing for the first week of april, but worried that there will be no snow! Has anyone been at this time of year before? what was it like?

Im going snowboarding in pas de la casa at the end of the month, I have got lift passes already but want to book some lessons and equipment. Is it cheaper to book it when I get there, and what sort of availability will there be, or is it better to book it in the uk (£128 pp for equipment and lessons)thanks x

I am a retired American who would like to open a small savings and current account in an Andorran bank for a planned vacation there next winter to investigate the skiing and to consider possible future residency there or in Southern France, but I have been having difficulties finding out if I can open such a personal bank account in Euros in Andorra prior to my visit. I understand that I would need to make such a deposit in conjunction with a residency application, but can one establish an account by transfering funds from a personal U.S. account prior to my initial travel visit there? If so, what are the requirements?

I'm going to El tartar on sunday 11th Feb. It is going to be my first skiing holiday. I've been looking at snow reports on Ski Club of GB, it reports 30cm at the top. Is this good or bad?? I don't want to arrive at the top of the mountain to find there isn't enough snow to ski on.
Any one who has been recently (like last week) can you give me some discription and explaination on what the snow is like??
Also we havent booked our lessons, life passes or boot and ski hire yet, I've been going to a dry slope for about 5 months now and our instructor says you can do everything on the coach, is this possible?? What level of skiing will I be doing on what coloured runs by the end of the week. I can carve on a dy slope but I expect that I'll be starting from scratch??

We are planning a holiday in Spain next summer. We are thinking of buying a interrail-ticket and travel around Spain, maybe visiting Marocco as well.

Hello, A friend of mine and I will be traveling to Andorra from Barcelona in about 2 weeks for a day and a night. We are not really looking to Ski, but just to go there, check the place out, and say that we've been to Andorra. I was wondering what city is best to go to for walking around, finding good restaraunts, and good bars and nightlife? I appreciate any comments or suggestions on locations or hotels.

hoping to visit andorra end of Feb, driving from Barcelona. Anyone know what the road conditions are likely to be and which is the best (safest) route and anything else I should know?

From what I have been told Andorra is cheap and has pretty good sking. I like Cheap and think sking's pretty dam good as well. Probably going to be making my way to the slopes for the begining of Feb. Not too sure where exactly but Casa sounds the most likely Can someone with some first hand knowledge help me out.
