I will be staying in Barcelonain Mid- March and have a day to spare.
I would like to see Andorra (no sking or shopping)- I like nature, snowy mountain views, panoramic views etc.
Is it possible in 1 day by hiring a car?
Where can I find internet resources to plan my trip?
Are there any organized tours by bus from Barcelona to Andora?

I am a retired American who would like to open a small savings and current account in an Andorran bank for a planned vacation there next winter to investigate the skiing and to consider possible future residency there or in Southern France, but I have been having difficulties finding out if I can open such a personal bank account in Euros in Andorra prior to my visit. I understand that I would need to make such a deposit in conjunction with a residency application, but can one establish an account by transfering funds from a personal U.S. account prior to my initial travel visit there? If so, what are the requirements?

I'm going to El tartar on sunday 11th Feb. It is going to be my first skiing holiday. I've been looking at snow reports on Ski Club of GB, it reports 30cm at the top. Is this good or bad?? I don't want to arrive at the top of the mountain to find there isn't enough snow to ski on.
Any one who has been recently (like last week) can you give me some discription and explaination on what the snow is like??
Also we havent booked our lessons, life passes or boot and ski hire yet, I've been going to a dry slope for about 5 months now and our instructor says you can do everything on the coach, is this possible?? What level of skiing will I be doing on what coloured runs by the end of the week. I can carve on a dy slope but I expect that I'll be starting from scratch??

We are planning a holiday in Spain next summer. We are thinking of buying a interrail-ticket and travel around Spain, maybe visiting Marocco as well.

If we decide to travel to Andorra as well, is it possible by train? How long time it does take e.g. from Barcelona?

Hello, A friend of mine and I will be traveling to Andorra from Barcelona in about 2 weeks for a day and a night. We are not really looking to Ski, but just to go there, check the place out, and say that we've been to Andorra. I was wondering what city is best to go to for walking around, finding good restaraunts, and good bars and nightlife? I appreciate any comments or suggestions on locations or hotels.

hoping to visit andorra end of Feb, driving from Barcelona. Anyone know what the road conditions are likely to be and which is the best (safest) route and anything else I should know?

From what I have been told Andorra is cheap and has pretty good sking. I like Cheap and think sking's pretty dam good as well. Probably going to be making my way to the slopes for the begining of Feb. Not too sure where exactly but Casa sounds the most likely Can someone with some first hand knowledge help me out.

I'm coming over to Pas de la casa on November 30th for 3 days, will there be any snow? I've never been to Andorra but the travel agent says there will be snow. I'm a bit sceptical as the temps over there at the moment are around the 20C mark!!!

I have booked a holiday with my family skiing in soldeu el tarter in january. But up until now we have made the connection journey with the tour opperators from Toulouse, This year however the opperators we use are only flying to Girona airport in Spain. Can anyone give me an idea of how long this connection might take by coach and also it`s likely route (the connection times in tour opperators brochues are seldom very accurate), as we are considering hireing a car at the airport and driving there ourselves.

Hi, We've booked flights to perpignan for next March and will be hiring a car and driving to Andorra. I've driven it before quite a few years ago and remember it being very scary! We're arriving at Perpignan airport at 5pm so won't be starting our journey until at least 6pm in the dark. Could anyone please tell me if there is a safe route, even if it takes longer. Hi! I'm off to the Pyrenees in 4 weeks for 10 days. I'd like to concentrate on andorra for some hillwalking. There doesnt seem to be much info on the area, but i did manage to buy a map. Only problem is, the routes on the map don't differentiate between easy and difficult. I'll be going by myself, and dont want to accidentally end up on a scrambling route!
Any suggestions of routes would be much appreciated!

I'll only have an hour or so in Andorra la vella, and i'll need to buy a small camping stove. Any suggestions of where i can do that?

Lastly, I'm planning on staying in the mountain refuges. I realise that most are pretty basic. Do the ones that have wardens serve meals? This could be very helpful and reduce the weight i have to carry!

We leave from Barcelona Oct. 12 which gives us 3 nights away. We don't look for night life, rather we prefer "off the beaten path" kind of touring/holidaying. Has anyone done this drive? Is it worth the trip?

hi i went to andorra,arinsal skiing fot a week in march and on the 10th we wnt to a 70s night in the el cau bar.Me and my friends had out photo took whilst we were there and we never got to see them.If anyong has got a photo please reply i would love to see itxxx

I am staying in Hotel Nordic in El Tarter. What is the main place to go for nightlife and how would I get there?

I have been told that Pas de la Casa is the best place to go. Will it be easy to get from El Tarter to pas de la casa and back to El Tarter (especially at night)
