I`m goig to Barcelona in december, in the winter. Is there a train from Barcelona to Andorra? If there isn`t, how is the best way to go there by car or by plane? Is it Andorra a nice place to visit or is better to stay in Barcelona for a few more days?

Andorra Via Ferrata
Posted: Wed June 17, 2009 04:32 PM UTC
I noticed that I can hire a guide for 30eu who will give me a 1/2 day introduction to Via Ferrata in Andorra. I'm not sure if that includes the cost of renting the Via Ferrata equipment/kit.. probably not.

I will be in Andorra June 30 & July 1st. Do you guys know how much it costs to just rent the gear on your own? I'm sure we can pick an easy route to do on our own. Also, where can we rent from? Address? I can't find any of this on Google at all.

Thanks!

Andorra So many hotels!!! How to decide?
Posted: Tue April 28, 2009 05:07 AM UTC
My wife and I are going to be spending a day or two in Andorra at the end of June. We'd like to go on a couple walks/hikes and other than that, not too sure what there is to do in the summer months. Just take in the little country. I've noticed there's actually 7 regions and 14 towns in Andorra with over 150 hotels. I have no idea where to start looking. Any ideas or favorite hotels or regions in Andorra? We're hoping to spend 30 or 40Eu per person per night. We'd also love to take in the country itself and would like any recommendations on where to go or what to not miss to help get a feel for this tiny nation. Thanks!!

Andorra Montpelier, France to Barcelona, Spain via Andorra
Posted: Sat February 21, 2009 08:07 AM UTC
I will be in the Montpelier region of southern France during the 3rd week of March and will be driving to Barcelona. I am in no hurry to drive to Barcelona except that it has to be done in one day - whether it takes 4 hours or 14 hours. We are 2 drivers and are thinking of driving via the Pyrenees and Andorra. According to Google Maps, this trip is approximately 550km and 7 hours long (net driving time). Is the scenery and/or other things worth this major detour? I would especially like to hear from anyone who has actually driven this route.

Of course, I know that the weather can be nasty at that time of year, making the trip virtually impossible (snowstorms, icy roads) or not worthwhile (fog) and, if I do decide to go, I will check the latest weather forecasts before I start off. If I can't make the trip because of the weather, I will just drive directly via the coastal road.

I thank you all very much.

Andorra Travel From Barcalone to Andorra
Posted: Wed January 28, 2009 11:30 PM UTC
Hi, Myself and 6 lads are traveling from Barcelona to Andorra on the 7th of Feburary by car. Just wondering what conditions to expect. Traveling late at night. Leaving Barcelona around 23.00 hoping to arrive in Andorra around 1.00am. What are the roads like this time of year and should we hire a car with snow chains.
We could also stop and stay somewhere along the way and get up early for the skiing on the 8th if you have any suggestion on somewhere good but also cheap to stay.
Thanks

Andorra Soldeu-Encamp
Posted: Wed December 17, 2008 05:49 PM UTC
I am on vacation with my family between 27th December and 1st January, staying at Encamp. I understand that the nightlife at Soldeu is quite good, so we would like to travel in to Soldeu in the evening. I understand that the public bus system will allow us to travel to Soldeu reasonably easily, however the last bus back is very early. I have tried to find/locate a local taxi company to establish cost/availability without any success, has any other members any information which will help

Andorra la Vella Ski alone - Jan 09
Posted: Thu November 20, 2008 10:23 PM UTC
Hello everbody!

I will be in Barcelona on the first week of January/ 09 and would like to go skiing for two days in Andorra, before going to Madri. I have a few questions that I would appreciate if someone could help me:

1- What is the best ski resort to have fun for 2 days? Any idea of prices?

2- I will be by myself and no car, so which place is the best to stay, near the ski resort? Or a place where we have free bus to ski. Not very far from the bus station that I can come from Barcelona and go to Madri.

3- Do you know if there are any hostels in town? Since I will be on my own, I believe hostel would be the best option.

Thanks so much in advance and I am looking forward for a help!

Andorra NEW YEARS EVE IN THE PYRENEES
Posted: Thu October 30, 2008 06:15 PM UTC
I am travelling through the pyrenees around new years eve by car with a dog and a companion. I am aiming for the costa del sol so wouldn't mind a rest up on new years eve and to perhaps have a celebratory drink with perhaps some good company as well. Looking therefore for accomodation for one or two nights. Would be gratefull for any leads to hotels, pensions or anywhere really where we could stop. At the moment I am struggling for any leads at all.

Andorra Andorra la Vella or Sant Julia de Loria
Posted: Mon October 20, 2008 12:51 AM UTC
A couple of questions arising from our plan to go on a daytrip to Andorra from Barcelona:
1. We have the option to go to Andorra la Vella (bus stops at central de autocares at Nadal St.) or to Sant Julia de Loria (bus stops at Plaza Lauredia). Which stop has more shopping and sightseeing options? What can we do in either stop?

2. Have anyone heard of Directbus? Can we buy our tickets on the same day that we plan to leave for Andorra?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

Would you please help me getting a information.
I would love to return to the pyrenees(i was in monte perdido some years ago by car, but the people who took me back then has no longer possibility to go)

As i dont have a car, and i dont have much money, i would like to ask your help if you can inform me:
-Cheapest transportation to go from Portugal to Andorra
-Cheapest hotels
-Some information about trekking activities in there.

This may be a bit difficult to get, Andorra is touristic so may be a bit expensive for me. Maybe its like more a "dream" than anything else, but well, at least i am trying to get some info.
Or other area of the pyrenees, i would thank you for info

I would be very thankfull :)

Andorra From Barcelona to Andorra, which company is the best+ DNi Number?
Posted: Thu October 18, 2007 09:28 AM UTC
Hy !

We will be between 24th-31th March in Andorra.
Now I'm just in search for a coach company.
Which is the best?
Novatel?
Autocarsnadal?
Eurolines-Andorra Directbus?
Autocares Pons?
other?

At the Homepage of Andorra Directbus ( http://www.andorradirectbus.es/Reservas.aspx ) I saw, that they need a DNI Number, (NIE= Numero de Identification Extrajero).
But I haven't got this number, and honestly I never heard it before...
Where can I get this DNI/NIE Number ?

Thank in Advance
