| Bristol | Kellaway Road Posted: Wed January 30, 2008 09:03 PM UTC
Hi!
I'm an Erasmus student, and I am going to live in Bristol for six months. I found a beautiful house in Kellaway Road, which seems a quiet place but it is close to Gloucester Road and Southmead, which I heard are dangerous areas. Do you think Kellaway Road is dangerous as well to live? Thank you. Rik. |

| Bristol | Short term accommodation - shared flat? Posted: Mon January 14, 2008 09:26 PM UTC
Hi everyone,
I am a German student of history planning to be on an internship in Bristol from the 10th of February till the 10th of March. Now I am desperately looking for some cheap accommodation - a shared flat would be great - rather close to the town centre. Basically, all I need is some space to roll out my sleeping bag; I do not necessarily need my own room nor a proper bed. I am very unpretentious, very flexible and most of the time, I am fun person to be with :-) Hope that anybody is able to help me. You can also contact me via speckham1@gmx.de Thanks to everyone and best wishes, Theresia |

| Bristol | Bristol 31 december Posted: Sun December 9, 2007 06:47 PM UTC
I am going to come in Bristol 3/4 days for the end of the year 2007 with a friend.
For me it's very important to find a vibrant nightlife. We are italians so we don't need a few drinks. What about the cost to "come in " in the clubs? Last year i have been in the south, in Bournemouth, the accomodation it wasn't cheaper but the cost of the nightlife was good, 1/2 pouds for "come in" and only in the weekend,so also the cost of the drinks was good of our local standards. I need any useful information about Bristol clubbing nightlife. thanks |

| Bristol | Car boot sales?? Posted: Wed August 15, 2007 04:43 PM UTC
I'm moving to Bristol at the end of the month and I love to go to car boot sales.
Anyone know of any in and around Bristol? I searched on google and only found some in another forum of 2005, bit out of date now. One mentioned was in Bradley Stoke (where I'm actually moving to), is this still going? Is it any good? I'm thinking that looking in the local papers once I get there might be the way to go....? Thanks for any help. |

| Bristol | Moving to Bristol from New Zealand Posted: Sat February 10, 2007 01:53 AM UTC
Hi we are a family of 5 moving to the Bristol arriving in April 2007.
There are a few questions. Does anyone know of: 1) A safe caravan park 2) Caravan parks that have what I understand to be permanent dwellings that can be rented I understand for about 150pounds a week. 3) Any civil engineering or construction companies in the Bristol area. 4) Cottages available on short term rent, I think this is usually done on a weekly basis. 5) Good primary schools for the children to attend. Regards Lawrence |

How far away is the airport from here? what is my best option to get there? i can see info for an internation flyer bus which leaves at 5:50 and arrives at 6:10, or if i miss that one then 6:10 to 6:30. how much would a taxi cost? would it be quicker?

| Bristol | Bristol reunion Posted: Tue May 2, 2006 08:46 PM UTC
hi,
Grew up in Bristol, only been back a few times, and am planning a reunion for a weekend in july. Although getting too old for it, we fancy a night out clubbing. Pubs we can just revisit old haunts, but clubbing has probalby changed beyond all recognition. I'd like something more dancy, but still quite big, along the lines of Fabric in london. Does such a place exist? Any going out tips appreciated. I saw 'the Depot' reviewed on "Doc Strange" VT sight. Any more info on it? Any tips welcome, seems funny asking VT about a UK place! |

| Bristol | Advise needed Posted: Thu October 27, 2005 12:53 PM UTC I currentley live in London, but considering moving up to Bristol (quite soon, possibly). I would be looking to move into a shared house in one of the nicer areas, and hoping to get work asap. I'm temping at the moment but this is my last week, but can't afford to leave it too long as I don't want to spend any unnecessary amounts of money. Any agencies that you could recommend that I could get in touch with? Thanks in advance |

| Bristol | Accommodation for 6 people Posted: Mon August 15, 2005 04:27 PM UTC
Hi there
I'm looking for an apartment to rent for two days in November, with a group of 5 friends. We're all professional girls looking to have a nice, fun, pampering weekend. Ideally, we would like an apartment to sleep 4-6 of us, as we can also bring along some airbeds if necessary. Where should I look? Days Inn has no availability for the weekend in question. Thanks in advance! LM |
