Buckinghamshire Beaconsfield...model village and accomodation question
Posted: Mon February 18, 2008 10:43 PM UTC
Hi all...I am doing research for my up and coming trip to the UK. I have a thing about model villages and the Bekonscot village in Beaconsfield looks amazing. Has anyone ever been there?

I have some other questions...I intend to travel from London...train or bus? How can I find bus and train timetables on the net so I can make a decision?

Also I am having trouble finding cheapish accomodation in Beaconsfield and thought maybe I will have to stay in a nearby village...but which one ? If I do stay somewhere else how will I get around as I am reluctant to hire a car? Would the public bus service be sufficient?

Hopefully someone can help me...and thanks in advance...

Cheers...

Hi,
I'm coming up from south London for Bon Jovi concert this Sat and just trying to find somewhere to camp! I can only find Cosgrove Leisure Park but it seems that they don't take tents, and they have a minimum 2-night booking!! Does anyone have any suggestions?!!
Thanks :-)

Buckinghamshire B & B in the Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield area.
Posted: Sun October 2, 2005 06:27 PM UTC
We are going to a reunion in Gerrards Cross in a couple of weeks time, and need somewhere to stay for one night. Does anyone know of a comfortable B & B within easy reach of GC that is not too expensive ? Anywhere within about ten miles would do. I've been searching the internet, but so far have come up with only a few and they all seem to be around £ 90 for a double room.

Milton Keynes Hotel Advice Needed
Posted: Mon June 6, 2005 03:04 PM UTC
Hi there,

I am planning on going to MK on June 25th to see my fave band Texas perform live at the Summer XS festival. I was already going to London anyway, so travel to London is already taken care off.

Does anybody know what is the cheapest way to spend the night in MK (besides sleeping on a park bench?)

Any B&B's, Hotels, Hostels etc are fine by me, I just need to sleep there for 1 night.

Thank you !!!

Amersham How to get to....
Posted: Sat May 10, 2003 02:37 PM UTC
Amersham in Buckinghamshire. I need to get there to meet a VT friend and wander around. I see it on the tube map but it's outside of zone 6, so assuming I need more than a zone 1-6 card. I'm not used to travelling outside the zone boundaries, so if I have a zone 1-6 day travel card, how to I get the rest of the way to Amersham? I'm assuming I have to change from the tube to a train somewhere along the way? Can anyone explain this for me please?
Thanks, Laura

Why am I the first person to register Milton Keynes as my home town?

Ladies & gentlemen, that was a rhetorical question, because I just wanted to be the first to post on this new sub-sub-sub-forum!!!
