Crewe Visiting Crewe
Posted: Thu January 10, 2008 08:40 AM UTC
Trying to plan a meeting with some friends there. I will be flying into Heathrow. Would it be best to take rail to Crewe or take another flight to Manchester and then onto Crewe. Also what hotels would you reccomend where pubs and eateries are close by.

Can you include travel time by rail etc...etc...

Chester TRAVEL GATWICK TO CHESTER
Posted: Mon May 7, 2007 06:09 PM UTC
I'm looking for a shuttle service, coach/bus company, other than National Express, from Gatwick (London) to Chester (Manchester). Trains are too complicated and British Airways are the only carrier direct- unfortunately times unsuitable on Saturdays.

Posted: Mon June 5, 2006 06:47 PM UTC
Hi! I'm visiting Chester in late July. I wonder if the car boot sale at the rugby club is still on on those dates, and what day of the week is it?
Are there any other big car boot sales around??

Thanx!

Chester Somewhere to stay?
Posted: Fri May 12, 2006 12:00 PM UTC
I am planning to visit Chester for 2 days in June. Can any one recommend a good value bed and breakfast?

I'm fed up with the ridiculous cost of hotels in the UK which are generally a complete rip-off and are geared to catering for business types. Excuse me for ranting! Any help would be very much appreciated.

Chester Good pub guide
Posted: Wed March 30, 2005 03:22 PM UTC
Greetings fellow travellers. There are 12 adults all planing to meet for a weekend in Chester. We are a varied bunch, so specific places are out. (I'm a rock fan, but if we went to a rock pub, 11 of our group would be unhappy). We are there Friday & Saturday in late April. Where should we drink? and where should we avoid? Accomodation is sorted in the CH2 area and we'll be walking.(or staggering if you catch me driff)

Chester Chester Backpackers versus Chester YHA

Does anyone have comments regarding the hostels in Chester? Is one better than the other in terms of location or other factor? Also, any comments on the Chester City Road Apartments at 16-18 City Road? They advertise double rooms at 11 BP per person per night.

Chester transportation to and from Manchester Airport
Posted: Wed February 25, 2004 08:06 PM UTC
Hello I am planning to go on a narrowboat cruise that departs from Chester and goes to Llangollen.. with the Dawn and Dusk ... I am looking forward to join them since I cannot walk large distances and I love to go on a boat . I will bring my scootie (a foldable little scootmobile) The advise is to travel from Amsterdam to Manchester Int Airport.. I would like to know how much the cab fair would be from the Airport to a nice Hotel in the City Center or even better is there a hotel with shuttle service.. Furthermore I will have to back to Machester Int. Airport from Llangollen. Should I go by train to Chester and take a cab from there or does anyone have a better option
Thanks in advance

Cheshire where will the new coach station in chester be?
Posted: Tue February 3, 2004 09:45 AM UTC
Hi, I just learned that the coach station in Chester will be closed this year. Does anybody know where the National Express Coaches will stop then? I'll have to walk to the train station from the coach stop. Does anybody how far this will be? Is is a safe area to walk in late at night or is it better to take a taxi - provided there will be taxis at the new station. Thank you for your help.

I will be residing in Chester for 4 months beginning in September of this year. Is there public bus transportation in Chester? Is there a bus that makes a stop at The Carden Park Hotel and Resort?
